The almond grains felt rough but the mask itself felt soothing and cool on my face. Unfortunately, it broke me out :(
my HG blush! I can't believe I've wasted so much time and money hunting for the perfect blush from a variety of HE brands only to realize that this inexpensive Nyx blush garners me more compliments and brightens up my face with the most feminine flush! :) will definitely repurchase, but I won't need to that often since one little pot will last for months
the formulation wasn't bad, as it certainly did give volume. but the brush is just awful! I have to take so much time wiping off the excess mascara before each application cuz if I didn't, my lashes would clump together so badly! It will make me look like I had 4 spikes of clumped lashes. In the interest of not being wasteful, I'll very carefully use this until it's gone but I will never repurchase
Makeup Brushes -MAC - 131 Duo Fibre Powder & Blush Brush
karameruca 6/1/2010 3:21:00 PM
I have all the duo fibre brushes out of some weird collectors' urge, but the 131 is the only one I really love. It's superb for applying cream blushes with NO shedding! Every single other duo fibre Mac brush I have always leaves little bits of hair on my face, but this one blends well and quickly, with no hassle of picking tiny little bits of hair on my face
this brush sheds a few hairs every time I use it. it started when I first got it, and has not ceased to this day (about 1 year later). the bristles are very soft, they can be somewhat scratchy on my face but I suppose it does the job of buffing in product. will not repurchase if I lose it, which I doubt since I hardly ever use it anyways *Update* 06/10/10: bumped rating down by one lippie. the shedding and scratchiness is just not worth it
Doll is that perfect shade of dolly pink, but in a more sophisticated manner than just straight up bright pink. Love the creamy consistency, and the staying power is pretty good! For 2 bucks, you can't go wrong
Bronzers -Napoleon Perdis - Napoleon Mosaic Bronzer Powder

way too dark/orangey to use as an all over face bronzer, but salvagable as a light blush
Lip Gloss -Napoleon Perdis - Love Bite Lip Plump (Passion)
karameruca 12/23/2008 7:51:00 PM
don't really know if this "plumps up the volume" but I really like the natural pink colour, and the slight tingling sensation it causes. I'm planning to pick up a couple more tubes as back up now that napoleon perdis is pulling out of the department stores... it's definitely worth it at 50% off!
purchased the Shiseido over the Shu upon reading all the great reviews here but I didn't find it performed any better than a regular drugstore curler. my lashes still made the L shape! if I used it before mascara (diorshow, estee lauder projectionist, maybelline volume express... didn't matter which one), my lashes drooped very quickly. if I used it after mascara, ouch! took mascara AND lashes off! still looking for mh HG curler... I'm trying the Shu gold plated one next, and if that still doesn't work, I guess I'll just live with stick straight lashes
pleasant, vaguely sweet smell, but way too sticky for me. colour ends up being very sheer, not like the nude lip I was hoping it would be. nice on top of lipsticks tho. not HG material, but I can still use it
lovely neutral colour in the pot. hardly shows up on my skintone (NC35) but I can use it on days when I just want a very subtle sheen on my eyes. great price point *Update* 06/01/10: Bumped up the rating by one lippie. Now that I've ceased tanning and am NC25 (more NC27ish lol), Eucalyptus is fabulous for giving a cool toned wash on my lids
this was initially rough feeling, but it does exfoliate nicely. my skin felt so smooth and silky after rinsing off. I didn't mind the smell at all... cuz I don't even remember anything about it now lol. I do find it overpriced for what it is, but I would probably repurchase if I had no other options for an exfoliator around.
after debating between this and the Chi based on reviews on MUA, I caved at Sephora when the SA told be that it had a built in shut off after 30 minutes. lol I have a tendency to forget to turn off my iron at 5 in the morning! Pros: super fast heat up, automatic heat according to hair type, smooth plates Cons: the almost prohibitive price! After spending $350CAD on this, I'm very much hoping this will last a LONG time!
I always come back to Biosilk whenever I feel my hair is getting particularly rough. However, using this too frequently tends to weigh my fine hair down. Using too much makes my hair greasy. Just enough and my hair is silky and has great movement. Use with caution
LOVE this blush for a more sophisticated look! like the other reviewers said, a little goes a long way so be careful when applying
