Masks -Makeup Artist's Choice (MUAC) - Pumpkin Exfoliating Masque

On the plus side, I experienced no irritation from this peel, but on the flip side, I also experienced no exfoliation. I don't think it was strong enough for me

Eye Makeup Remover -Clinique - Take The Day Off Eye Makeup Remover
kajoyce1 1/27/2009 11:32:00 AM
I'm surprised by all of the good reviews on this product. Thankfully, I got mine as a GWP, so I didn't waste my money. This makeup remover had a hard time removing my not-waterproof mascara, so I'm not sure how it would be able to get the tough stuff off.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
kajoyce1 1/24/2009 2:10:00 PM
A pretty color, but too much glitter. I won't buy this shade again, but I'll probably try another NARS blush. I have the cream version, and I love the texture.

Mascara -Maybelline - Define A Lash
kajoyce1 1/5/2008 10:37:00 AM
My brother-in-law that has known me for 15 years asked me when I got fake eyelashes! This is the best mascara I have ever used. My lashes look so long and full without being clumpy or cakey at all. I have used every expensive brand of mascara, and none of them are as fabulous as this one is

Mascara -Chanel - Inimitable Mascara Multi-Dimensionnel
kajoyce1 1/5/2008 10:35:00 AM
Inimitable? Possibly, but this mascara is awfully similar to Maybelline Define-A-Lash, only it is considerably more expensive and it flakes. I'm extremely disappointed. Save your money.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Schick Intuition razor
kajoyce1 12/29/2007 6:49:00 PM
I can't believe this product has gotten such horrible reviews. I love it, and every friend that I have recommended it to loves it also. I can get five to seven shaves out of the razor before I change the blade, but I only shave below the knee. Yes, the cartridges are pricey, but you can get them in bulk at Sams for around $2 each. I love not having to get out of the nice warm water to shave. The new version pivots and gives a much closer shave, although I thought the other one was fine, too, and I have fairly coarse hair. I would definitely suggest trying it . . .

Sunscreen -Clinique - Super City Block SPF 40
kajoyce1 11/12/2007 11:54:00 PM
This is a really great facial sunscreen. It absorbs quickly, has zinc, a super high SPF< and doesn't make my face shiny. If it wasn't tinted, I'd be a customer for life. Let me explain . . . . I was using this product on my face, neck and chest. I began to notice on my lighter shirts and suits that I had some discoloration on the collars. I had been using a gradual tanning lotion at the same time, so I assumed it was the culprit and stopped using it. Turns out, it was the City Block. It's really unfortunate, because I really love it, but I had to stop using it. Ruining my expensive clothing was just not worth it. I'm still looking for a replacement, but no luck yet.

Treatments -Paula's Choice - RESIST Clearly Remarkable Skin Lightening Gel
kajoyce1 11/12/2007 11:46:00 PM
I first got this as a sample, and almost didn't use it, because I've had bad experiences with Beta Hydroxy in the past (hives and rashes). I am so glad I tried it! This is the first thing I've used that I feel like is genuinely making a difference in my age spots. Plus, and I'm assuming it's because of the beta hydroxy, my face is absolutely glowing. Needless to say, I purchased the full size product, and I've been using it daily with great results. You get plenty of product at a great price, and I like the container, because it is easy to use and seems hypoallergenic.

Eye Shadow -Clinique - Color Surge in Lucky Penny
kajoyce1 11/12/2007 11:41:00 PM
I have purchased this eyeshadow three times, which is three times more than I have ever re-purchased a Clinique shadow before. This shade is so flattering on everyone I know, and almost everyone I know uses it. It wears really well, doesn't crease, and blends easily with other shades. Lucky Penny is definitely my favorite shadow and the one I keep going back to over and over again.

Eye Shadow -Trish McEvoy - Eyeshadows
kajoyce1 11/12/2007 11:38:00 PM
I used Trish years ago, and was disappointed when I went in for a refill and discovered that they've reduced the quantity of product you get quite drastically. I blow though one of the eye shadows (using a Trish brush) much too fast. It's great stuff, though, which is why I keep buying it over and over. Wish I could find something that I likes as much for a lower cost. I apply three shades at 7 am each morning, and it still looks absolutely perfect when I wash it off before bedtime. I'm totally hooked. The shades are super blendable and easy to layer. They never crease, and look freshly applied all day.

Concealers -Philosophy - Supernatural airbrushed color correctors
kajoyce1 11/12/2007 11:34:00 PM
I purchased this in the lightest color combination. I have found that the very lightest shade is good for undereyes, but it doesn't last very long, and it gathers into my wrinkles and makes them look worse. The darkest color is good for evening out any redish spots, but its not the best thing I've ever used. The only one I really love is the middle shade, because it's thicker than the others and makes an excellent eye shadow base. If they sold that one alone, I'd buy it again. The palette lasts FOREVER. I don't even know how long I've had it, but I'm thinking at least a year, and I use the middle shade every day under my eyeshadow.

Cleansers -Garnier - Nutritioniste Nutri-Pure Detoxifying Gel Cleanser
kajoyce1 11/12/2007 11:28:00 PM
I bought this product, because I was looking for a low cost alternative to Purity Made Simple. Had I never tried Purity, I would probably really like this face wash, but it truly doesn't compare. I made it through about half a bottle and then ordered Purity again. I can't really say anything BAD about it, though. It does an excellent job removing makeup, even mascara. It makes my skin a smidge tight after I wash it, which is unusual, because I am very oily, but also appreciated for the same reason! I don't love the smell, but it's not horrible. Personally, I'm not going to repurchase, but that doesn't mean it's not a good facial wash. It's just not the best I've tried.

Eyeliner -Paula's Choice - Constant Color Gel Eyeliner in Earthen
kajoyce1 11/12/2007 11:23:00 PM
This is a decent, but not fabulous, cream liner. The color is a bit darker than I'd hoped for. I was looking for something more natural to go with my blond hair and fair skin. Also, compared to the L'Oreal HIP liner, this one tends to bleed a bit under my eye. On the flip side, it's very blendable, unlike the HIP. I'm not sure if I'll buy this one again. Might check out Bobbi Brown next time.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HiP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner
kajoyce1 11/12/2007 11:19:00 PM
This was my first experience with a cream eyeliner. I formerly used Trish McEvoy powder, and I always had a problem with it running during the day. After reading a review on this eyeliner that I saw on the front page of MUA, I had to try it. I purchased the teal, which was a huge change from my normal brown. The brush that came with it was horrible, but I was able to use my Trish brush with no problems. The first day, I wasn't sure I liked it, because the color was very intense, but it didn't budget AT ALL during the day, so I went back to the store and bought the eggplant. It's much more neutral. Lately, I've been feeling more brave, though, so I pulled the teal out and also bought the blue. I love all three colors, and I'm so glad I bought them all. Some people have complained that the product is pricey, but you get a ton of eyeliner. I'm sure I'll have to throw it out due to age long before I run out. I think the price is very reasonable. The only complaint I have, which is also the product's best feature, is that it truly does not budge once you put it on, so if you make a mistake, it is really really hard to fix. Also, it's not super blendable. Definitely this is a product that I will rebuy and might even go back and pick up another color.

Shampoo -Paula's Choice - All Over Hair & Body Shampoo
kajoyce1 10/9/2007 11:52:00 PM
I wasn't impressed with this product as a shampoo. It didn't lather well, dried my hair out, and gave me lots of tangles.
