thin consistency, absorbs pretty quick... and is gone. no moisturizing quality whatsoever... that's it. won't buy again.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Handy gurugu
kairos 1/24/2012 8:58:00 AM
so... don't really like it. I have it on my nightstand trying to use it up, but it's a bit of a struggle. It's not really that moisturizing, it just makes your hands greasy for quite a while (so you have to wait a bit before you touch anything) and the smell is sort of a herbal - man -smell... don't know how to describe this better. won't repurchase - there are much cheaper and better handcreams on the market.

Foundations -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector Daily All-In-One
kairos 11/15/2011 4:16:00 AM
I can't compare it to other BB products, because this is the first time I bought one oft them, but meh... the light colour is just a bit too dark for me, it doesn't even out my skin tone - kind of accentuates my imperfections. I have to use a lot of powder to make this work somehow, but in bright sunlight it looks just wrong. I can't see this working for people with problem skin (the kind of problem skin with pimples and large pores). maybe if you have almost perfect skin and more in the dry side. on the plus side - like the sweet smell and at least it doesn't seem to break me out.

Polishes -OPI - Off with her red!
kairos 10/18/2011 8:53:00 AM
I really love the color - it's a lovely tomato red, but this really chips verrrry easily. due to the price I would expect a longer staying power...

Treatments -Burt's Bees - Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream (Silver tin/100% natural reformulation)
kairos 10/5/2011 7:18:00 AM
I don't know about all the negative reviews this is getting - I really enjoy using it, though I don't know about the original formula as this is my first tin... very well - first: yes it is a balm not a cream. but that is one of the reasons I like it. I don't like to mess around with a cream when I'm out and about. It's easy to use, absorbs quickly, leaves my cuticles smooth (+ I also use it directly on my nails as they get dry from constant nail polish applications) and I love the smell (I would describe as lemon-sorbet smell)... what's not to like? I recommend :)

Treatments -Soap and Glory - Make Yourself Youthful Rejuvenating Face Serum
kairos 9/29/2011 9:25:00 AM
so maybe I'm a bit early giving this a review - I have been using it only for a over a week now, but as there are not that many reviews about this product I give it a go (probably with a later update) I was looking for something additional as my problem skin (sensitive, hormonal acne... you name it) was a bit on the dry side. first of all packaging is typical soap & glory "retro-pink-girly" which I quite like minus that you can't see how much product you have left. It's supposed to be a "rejuvenating face serum making your skin glowing". Directions say to apply under your daily moisturizer. It's is a really lightweight fluid with a sweet smell to it (doesn't linger), easily absorbed into the skin. it helped so far as my skin doesn't feel that dry anymore, but as to making my skin "glowing" - nope, but hasn't broke me out either... kind of a "blah product" - so I guess I will use the bottle up but won't repurchase.

Cleansers -Yes To Carrots - Can You C Me? Eye and Face makeup remover
kairos 9/28/2011 7:35:00 AM
I think this is a really good product - it does what it says on the bottle, the price is alright for the amount of product you get and I like the packaging as well (to be fair not the most cutest bottle out there but it looks nice enough and you see how much product you have left). I use it the "liz-earle-way": rub it on my face (including eyes - doesn't sting at all) and then rub it off with a wet muslin cloth... takes of all of my make up and leaves skin soft and clean -result :) it has a sweet smell to it but nothing overwhelming... so if you're looking for a good make up remover, give this a try (imo it is gentle enough for all skintypes) - if you're trying to resolve any skin issues (acne...) this alone won't do the trick (and it doesn't claim to), but is a good additional product to keep your skin clear.

Polishes -OPI - Y'all Come Back Ya Hear?
kairos 8/10/2011 10:17:00 AM
oh my gosh - what a hassle to apply. it's of a watery consistance - you need several coats before it gets opaque (and we're talking here about more then three coats). for the money I expect higher quality. only buy it if you really, really love the colour and can't live without it and have a lot of patience... oh, and don't forget to wear a top coat (chips easily). so one point for the really unique colour... edit!!!... it left my nails with an ugly orange stain!!! stay away

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Honey I Washed the Kids soap
kairos 12/11/2009 7:06:00 AM
this was one of my first lush soaps (still looking for the ONE... i really want to like them)... i thought i couldn't go wrong with this as it seems everybody is falling in love with this soap. well, for me it's just average. the smell is nice, but not very strong and it doesn't linger. you feel squeaky clean, i give you that (but most soap bars are able to produce that effect), but my skin isn't amazingly soft after using it. don't know - i guess it's okay, but for that price... not buying it again.

Toners -Liz Earle - Liz Earle Instant Boost skin tonic
kairos 11/24/2009 7:52:00 AM
That is my favourite product by Liz Earle! I have partly acne prone skin, but all the toners for this kind of skintype are way too harsh for me. I guess it's the alcohol in most of them. It irritates my skin and dries it out. But this toner is really gentle and the smell is just divine (very light and refreshing). You can see it doing good work for your skin after the first use. It really calms the skin, making it soft and healthy looking. HG toner :)

Skincare - Face -Liz Earle - Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
kairos 11/24/2009 7:46:00 AM
Bought the whole regime and using it over a month now and loving it. The cleanser smells just great, easy to apply and with the help of the muslin cloth (which works also great with other cleansers btw) it removes all the dirt and makeup from face, but in a gentle way. I leaves my skin very soft and healthy looking after using it. The only negative point is that it is not enough for my combination skin. I'm acne prone on the cheeks and the Liz Earle alone isn't able to clear it up (or maybe I'm not patient enough...). So I have to combine it with a bit of a stronger cleanser to get better results. But i would love to use this on it's own, because overall my skin looks much more radiant and healthy since I'm using this product. I also think the price is alright. It is not the cheapest product out there, but you get get a high quality cleanser for a reasonable price and one tube will go a long way.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Body Butter - Brazil Nut
kairos 11/23/2009 5:42:00 PM
This is an all-time-favourite for me. It moisturize my skin perfectly... my skin absorbs it pretty fast, but it leaves a nice healthy shine, without feeling greasy. And I'm in love with the smell... a light sweet smell, difficult to put a name to it, but just great!

Shampoo -LUSH - Seanik
kairos 11/23/2009 5:33:00 PM
I never thought I'm going to use a soap bar on my hair, but there you go... I just bought this because I'm a sucker for everything with seaweed in it (don't know why I treasure such a firm believe for "seaweed is good for you" in my heart - maybe some early childhood experience... maybe some seaweed rescued me from drowning in the sea in my early years. don't swim with dolphins, swim with seaweed ;)) But to return to the actual review: I'm loving it. I was anyway looking for something to reduce my hair care regime (I was using way too much products. don't think that's good for the hair on the long run) and the seanik thingy totally does the trick. At the moment I'm only using this, not even a conditioner and my hair is healthy and glossy and doesn't grease that much anymore. And the smell is great too - very light and fresh. I think I found my HG shampoo. Oh - and the price is good too, thinking how long such a soap bar lasts. You have to find a container to keep it though... and perfect for travelling small as it is. Yeah :)

Treatments -Dermalogica - Medibac Overnight Clearing Gel
kairos 11/23/2009 5:15:00 PM
Not at all excited about this product. I bought this for € 24,40 for 50 ml (sigh) and really had high hopes. My breack outs are mainly on the cheeks and used it there every night for about a month. Can't say I notice any difference. Purchase again? Don't think so.

Cleansers -Dermalogica - PreCleanse
kairos 11/23/2009 5:09:00 PM
Bought this in a sort of spending spree about a month ago in my quest for better skin and thought "why not". I anyway precleanse my skin, especially when I'm wearing makeup so why not do it professionally? First I have to say I do love the smell, kind of sweet, no trace of olive oil smell (which I like in my food, but don't want to linger on my face). And it does what it says on the bottle - it gets rid of all the makeup etc on your face. The turning into the milky emulsion adds a kind of fun element to it (but maybe that's just me ;)). Anyway, I'm a bit undecided about this product. It does the cleaning job - good, it doesn't break me out - good (as I'm partly more on the acne prone side of life)... but it doens't make any major difference for my skin and for that price (5.1 oz/150 ml for € 21,54) I would expect something more. Baby oil just does the same trick for me for removing makeup and is way cheaper. So I guess I'm not repurchasing...
