After 2 months of daily usage, this is what I think of this foundation. How I use this: - Squeeze out a little (pea size) for my entire face, using my fingers, dot it over my face and spread it like how I apply my moisturizer. - after applying my foundation, I would do my eyes, then use a piece of facial tissue and press/blot my entire face. - I dont powder my face as I have dry skin. What I like about this: - comes with a pump and in a plastic bottle - medium coverage without feeling heavy on the skin. I hardly need to use any concealer for my acne scars (tho they are not too bad). It evens out my skin tone, covers my dark eye rings, but it does not cover my freckles - looks & feels good on my skin, very natural, very moisturizing - I have dry skin, those who are oilier might find it a bit too 'moisturizing' - I put on my foundation at 630am, and remove it usually at 8pm. this foundation LASTS! and it actually looks better over time. On nights out when I remove my make up at 11pm, I still look fresh. - I work in an air-conditioned environment, but am out in the heat & humidity for about 2 hrs during lunch time, this foundation doesn't melt away. YIPPIE! - doesnt clog my pores What I wish would be different: - a see through bottle so I know how much of the foundation is left - the price hurts - BUT a little does go a long way! Would I buy this again: - YES! and i'm loving this.
Moisturizers -L'Occitane - Immortelle Very Precious Cream

Previously, I have been using the Immortelle very precious cream for the last 2 years. I got bored and wanted to try something else. I would buy this again too for its anti-aging benefits. My freckles have lightened A LOT since i started using it every night .. I used to go diving every wkend without using any sunblock - so u can imagine what kind of damaged i have done to my skin! This cream doesnt feel heavy and has a nice scent. My nose is usually very sensitive to scents but it was ok with this one. If u have to buy either one, I would probably recommend the immortelle very precious cream :) Btw, both come in jars, and i'm not particularly fond of dipping my fingers in there, but i do - making sure that my finger is clean and just dip it in once to get some product out. With daily usage, a jar lasted me almost 1 year.
Moisturizers -L'Occitane - Angelica Hydration Cream

Angelica Hydration Cream http://www.loccitane.com.sg/angelica-hydration-cream,27,1,2002,161646.htm I wanted something hydrating for day time usage and this is a new product launched in Singapore by L'occitane. First the scent is something refreshing. Since I have no idea how Angelica smells like, I would say this smells a bit like cucumbers? Its nothing pungent, but a little refreshing - took me a while to get used to the scent. So I apply this in the morning before my sunblock. It keeps my skin hydrated all day long. I dont see the fine lines in the middle of the day anymore, like i used to. Yes I have a compact mirror on my working desk :p This is a very light weight moisturizer and v hydrating. It doesnt feel oily but there is some oil in it. I would let it sink it (usually about 2 minutes since I am usually in a rush in the mornings) and use a piece of tissue paper to dab on my face very gently before putting on my sunblock. My skin feels very comfortable throughout the day and I THINK my foundation looks better too (after 4-5 hrs), at least i dont see fine lines like i used to. There is also a Milky Lotion which is rather "watery" in my opinion. I prefer the cream to the lotion for my dry skin. And yes I would repurchase all these 3 products again. I took a lippie off for (1) having to get used to the scent of the shea butter and angelica, but that's just me being fussy, and having to dip my finger into the jar.
This is my 3rd tube. I have been using this for a few years. I tried both the "even complexion" (beige) and the "anti dullness" (purple) versions. Since I'm living in the tropics, sunscreen is a must - after doing a lot of damage to my skin previously. This has spf 50+, PA+++ and against UVA/UVB. I would say I feel very "protected" with this on :) The texture isn't watery, but it is liquid form. The beige version looks and feels like a tinted moisturizer. I was using this beneath my foundation I get the impression that it makes me looks a tad more yellow? And when I used it alone without foundation, it rubs off. I would see beige on the tissue paper when I blew my nose or cleaned my mouth :( So I decided to switch to the anti dullness version. Its like purple in color and is supposed to brighten up my complexion. At least it doesnt rub off, or its not obvious. I use this as a base before my foundation, as it says on the packaging "moisturizing formula which can be used as a foundation base" (well something like that). Yes i would definitely be purchasing this again. and there is no funny scent which is definitely a plus :)
Moisturizers -L'Occitane - Shea Butter Ultra Rich Face Cream

I have dry skin and am usually in air-conditioned environment. I have been using this for the last 2 months and it is indeed very moisturizing. I use it at night; and in the mornings, my skin doesnt feel tight. In fact it feels very soft, smooth and moisturized. The texture of this cream feels heavier compared to the immortelle very precious cream since this is after all "ultra rich" face cream. I think this is a good moisturizer for dry skin. I would re purchase it but will alternate with the immortelle very precious cream.
Liquid -Shu Uemura - Face Architect Smoothing Fluid Foundation

Update/Review: I have been applying this foundation with my fingers (and i dont particularly enjoy having foundation fingers :p) but it works mcuh better - there is more coverage and i'm able to get away without using concealers under my eyes (i dont have very dark eye rings but it is there, so some coverage is needed). As with fingers, i find that it gets a bit "thick" so i use a dampen sponge to smooth it out after. I like how it looks and feels on my face; tho the coverage i would still say is light. you will still need a concealer for blemishes. Also i find that it stays longer when i use a tissue to press on my face after my moisturizer/sunscreen. Gossmakeup artiste has some good tips. Below are 2 links : http://www.youtube.com/user/gossmakeupartist#p/c/F2F410488CD443B6/3/S_9exY4F3ww http://www.youtube.com/user/gossmakeupartist#p/a/F2F410488CD443B6/2/8DcDNrzWD4U I will likely try the Shu Uemura illuminating moisture foundation next :p Hopefully it stays longer and has more coverage. Tried the Clarins extra firming foundation. There is a light scent to it - which made my nose run :p ------ Some background: I have dehydrated/dry Asian skin, some freckles, and acne scars,a little redness around the nose, living in a hot & humid country all year round, stuck in air conditioned office most of the time. I usually wash my face with mild exfoliator (dermalogica daily exfolant), then apply a moisturizing sunblock (loreal uv perfect spf 50 for uneven skin), then the foundation. I tried different ways of applying this foundation, but best way for me is applying this sparingly (half pump) and spreading it with a damp sponge. Effect is very sheer/light with a dewy effect (not shinny). It feels light on the skin and doesnt feel oily at all. It really looks like "my skin" (ie, without anything on). I have been using this for 2 weeks and did notice that my skin feels more moisturized. However, the nose and chin area tends to "disappear" after 3-4 hours. It cakes when I use a heavy moisturizer beneath my sunblock, or when I apply it with a foundation brush. Honestly, it doesnt cover any of my freckles nor my acne scars (and i dont have bad ones to begin with - thankfully), and i can still see some uneven patches around my cheek area. If u have no issues with freckles or acne scars and dont mind a super light foundation which has a dewy effect, then this might be for you. I will not purchase this again because I would like to try other foundations, but if i had good skin, and dont need to conceal anything, I would repurchase this :) p/s: I am using Shu Uemura #764, MAC NC 25/30, MUFE HD foundation #127, EL Nutritious intensity 3, Clarins Extra Firming foundation #108.
