Moisturizers -Garnier - Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream

I really like this moisturizer. It's one of the few products that I've been dying to repurchase (this is rare for me since I'm really picky and rarely love a product enough). It is very moisturizing but somehow it's still very light weight and is oil-free so it doesn't make my oily skin extra greasy and doesn't break me out. This is perfect for for the harsh winters here in Canada for those with oily & acne-prone skin :) The ONLY down side for me, as others have mentioned, is the packaging. I wouldn't mind paying an extra dollar or two for it to be in a pump bottle.
i'm not a fan of it, i think it's too "slimy" if that makes any sense. it's definitely long lasting, as you can feel the layer of lip balm on your lips for hours, but if you decide to wipe it off or once it's gone from eating/drinking or whatever you lips will feel really dry and you'll be reaching for something else to put on your lips. i've given this lipbalm many tries over the years, this is probably by third tube but i've never been that satisfied with it. i don't recommend it, i like blistex mint much better :P
Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit

smells like peaches and tastes very sweet. :) it's fun to use and fun to have, but as a lip balm i don't think it's very moisturizing. it's worth a try just to see what the hype's about, but no repurchase for me.
Liquid -Shiseido - The Makeup Dual Balancing Foundation SPF 17

I picked up I40 and it looks very orange on me... I wasn't aware of the letterings and I thought it was simply the number "140". In hindsight I probably should have picked something in the "O" range... anyway aside from my poor choice of shade selection, I found this foundation to be very drying and highlighted all the dry spots on my face. I do NOT recommend this for anyone with dry skin. I'm going to try this again in the summer when I'm a little tanner and when my face isn't dry anymore. I have high hopes since it got so many great reviews on here! :)
Moisturizers -Marcelle - AC-Solution Oil-Free Moisturizing Regulating Lotion

Admittedly I bought my bottle at a warehouse sale so I may very well have gotten a bad/expired bottle, but man does it STINK! Nobody else except for one other person on here said it stinked so I'm not sure if she got hers from an outlet too or if other people are just ignoring the smell :P Anyway I have used it a couple of times and it really dried out my skin... note that the weather is still quite dry where I live so dry weather and this drying cream may not have been a good mix. For now I'm going to put it away until the summer time when it's a bit more humid. Aside from that, maybe because I've only used it a couple of times, I have also not really noticed any changes for my acne. But seriously.. back to the smell. Can other people who've used this send me a PM telling me whether your bottle stinks? If mine is the only one I'm going to need to throw it away asap.
Masks -Clinique - Acne Solutions Oil Control Cleansing Mask

This mask SERIOUSLY messed up my skin. Maybe because it's winter right now, but this mask made my skin SO dry. I normally have oily skin and somehow this mask got the worse of me. It made my skin look and feel very dry, however I was still producing oil on my face, and it was just so weird! It also gave me new mini pimples! The first night I used it I thought "cool, feels nice". The next day though I noticed my skin got very dry and the day after that it was even worse. And it took me about 2 weeks to get back to normal... This mask + harsh winter season + exam time = horror. I'm so glad I only got a sample of this.
I didn't enjoy this. I feel that there are very similar alternatives that are much better! The main reason this product dissapointed me was because it was more like a scrub than a mask to me. From Lush, I feel that the Mask of Magnaminty is a better alternative. It is VERY similar to Love Lettuce in appearance and function, except it's has better results, and the product itself lasts longer. I think that MoM smells much better too :) Alternatively, it's also VERY similar to the St. Ive's Apricot or Green Tea scrub! The texture is sort of between, less harsh than the Apricot but a little grainier than the Green Tea. The only difference here is that while the Love Lettuce is marketed as a mask, the St. Ive's is marketed as a scrub. I really think they're they're just the same thing though and produce the same results (not much other than short living smooth skin). All in all I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, but would recommend the other alternatives I have listed instead. The MoM because it has really good results, and the St. Ive's because it's cheap. :)
Moisturizers -Ren - ClearCalm 3 Replenishing Night Serum

I've been using this for about a month and it really hasn't done much for me :( It didn't break me out but it didn't do anything good for me either. Some people on here have written that it's a good, light moisturizer but for me I always need to use a heavy moisturizer after this because my face still feels dry after. Maybe because it's winter here. All in all I like the smell of it, it's very light and clean, and I like the packaging (pump bottle). I also like the idea of having this extra "night serum" step, but it just hasn't done much for my skin. So it was a waste of $30 for me!
I didn't particularly like this product when I first got it for reasons others have stated, 1) the smell and 2) the stinging. however i've resorted to using this multiple times due to it's convenience as i can just give it a few spritz when my face is feeling a bit dry and it would feel much better afterwards. definitely not a must have for me though. however, just recently, after dying my hair myself with box dye, my hair was left feeling very coarse and tangly and somehow i had the thought of spraying this in it to help. so i did, and it actually made my hair really easy to comb through and noticably smoother! so for the ladies who have this need a little help combing through their hair sometimes, try this! i would not recommend buying this product just for this purpose tho. :)
Lotions/ Creams -St. Ives - Oatmeal and Shea butter
kaaary 5/6/2011 9:34:00 PM
i love the smell but i don't find this moisturizing. i find myself reapplying this several times a day :( it does feel light and non-greasy on the skin though, like most st. ives moisturizers i've tried. i don't hate but but i don't love it. it will probably be replaced with another st. ives lotion in a different scent :P
Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship
kaaary 4/3/2011 10:07:00 PM
I've only used this two times and for me the problem is that smell is TOO overpowering! it's VERY florally smelling and not in the good way. it is VERY strong in the shower and the smell lingers for a while even after the hair dries, sometimes to the next day. i guess its good for those who like the smell but for those who don't, stay away! as for the actual results of the shampoo, i find that it kinda gave me dandruff or just dryness on my scalp too but it may be something else.. overall definitely no repurchase for me. though i do like other herbal essences products.
I have oily and acne prone skin but this made my skin WAY too dry. I don't recommend it for those who have the tendency to get dry skin with certain products even if you have oily skin because this will dry you out. I think soap cleansers are too drying in general though, so unless you REALLY need it, try something else!
the biggest problem with me is that i hate the texture of this scrub! it's very gritty and sandy feeling if you will :P it just feels weird and it really bothers me. it doesn't irritate my skin or anything, but i don't think it's doing anything special either. i used to use the apricot scrub (which i love, and like more than this one) but i just decided to try something new. i'll be going back to the apricot scrub for sure.
Moisturizers -Boscia - Oil Free Daily Hydration SPF 15
kaaary 3/6/2011 7:40:00 PM
i have very oily skin and this moisturizer completely controlled my oil throughout the day! however, maybe because of this, it left my skin very dry and hence not very smooth :( it's also really expensive for a very small tube so it's just not worth it for me. it might be a really good moisturizer for the summer though. it's winter right now and we have very harsh winters in canada :P i miiiight repurchase this for the summer
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Lip Care Stick - Cocoa Butter
kaaary 3/6/2011 7:35:00 PM
i had high hopes for this but for me it's not that moisturizing and the smell is a bit sickening. it smells really good at first (like cocoa butter and chocolate) but after using it for a while i got sick of the smell. the smell is REALLY strong too so you can't escape it. however, i do like how it looks on the lips.
