Lotions/ Creams -Soap and Glory - The Righteous Butter

I got a couple of samples from Sephora and was excited about it because of the great reputation this product has. Unfortunately, any strong scent is going to be pretty polarizing and this one did NOT sit well with me. I find the scent very masculine and heavy. It reminds me of aftershave. Strangely, it also reminds me of the Dove body lotion that I bought in Spain (I'm from the US - makes me think American lines tend towards lighter/sweeter smells). The formula is definitely wonderful, I would just recommend that anyone tempted to invest in this get a sample first or at least sniff in-store.
Very unhappy with this. I bought it because I was looking for a better color-match than I had with my Maybelline Dream Matte powder. I saw Fresco and it seemed perfect. It does look really good when first applied, but as the day goes on, it oxidizes like crazy! I don't know that I have "acidic" skin as another reviewer claims, but something is going wrong. My whole face turns a yucky reddish orangeish hue. It's also kind of hard - I had to really dig my brush into it to get any product. Into the garbage it goes...
Wow... after owning this for a few years and just purchasing OPI's Midnight in Moscow, I just realized this is a total dupe. It's an almost black base (imagine the outside of a black olive) with burgundy shimmer. Considering the price difference, I'd stick with this one! Formula is great, 2 coats.
Lotions/ Creams -Trader Joe's - Coconut Body Butter

To the person that said this has no noticeable smell: Say what?? This is super coconut-y, so if you are planning on buying it, you had better like that. The formula is wonderful and rich, and like everything from Trader Joe's, the price can't be beat. I do hope they keep this formula but rotate the scents simply because this is so strong that I'm not sure I could use multiple jars in a row... would love to see some variety!
Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Clump Crusher mascara

Well, it IS clump-free... but this mascara just does not wow me. I like Cover Girl mascara, and particularly the "Blast" line (or anything with the plastic brush) so I thought I would try this. My disappointment comes from the volume that this product gives... or really, what it does not give. If you like a very natural, subtle look, this would probably be a great choice for you. I, on the other hand, have naturally thick black lashes that I really like to pump up. My eyes are always my focus when it comes to make up, and this mascara just does not do anything for me. I am a HUGE fan of the Lash Blast in the orange tube - my HG of all time. It clumps a tiny bit, but nothing I can't fix. I'll stick with that.
Skincare - Body -Vaseline - Cocoa Butter Gel Body Oil

Eggghhh I really don't like this at all. I thought since it was a gel it would sink it to my skin better, but it just sits there for hours and makes me all greasy and shiny (my fiance commented when I had it on, "ewww you're all greasy!) I have only been using for a few days, but I'm concerned that it may be breaking my chest out as well. I am not a fan of the smell... it's a thick sweet smell that makes me think of chocolate frosting (I hate food scented personal products!), but maybe that floats your boat. It's not obscenely expensive, but it's certainly not cheap compared to most drugstore moisturizers. Would never purchase again... maybe I'll save it for beach vacation use or something.
Wah! I am so disappointed. I was using Pantene's Nature Fusion prior to this, which I really liked, and I thought that the Beautiful Lengths would be just as good or better. So wrong. Nature Fusion shampoo is clear, and leaves my hair soft and clean. Beautiful Lengths shampoo is white (looks like conditioner) and leaves my hair heavy with residue that I can feel as soon as I start to blow-dry. It makes my hair look oily and stiff. Honestly, I can't imagine this working well for anyone. Will never, ever buy again. I'll probably have to chuck it and buy something else :(
Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner

I don't understand how this has good reviews! I bought it for my Cleopatra Halloween costume. It worked well enough for that since i was drawing giant triangles on my face, but beyond that it was junk. The brush quickly got mangled and clumpy, the "black" color has a greyish, blueish tint to me, and if you even LOOK at water it runs like crazy. It's cheap, but I would never buy this again.
I am in love with this! I happened to stumble across it in a clearance bin at Target, and almost passed right over it because I thought it might be a little cool for my warm skintone. To my surprise, it is basically a tinted clear polish - not opaque at all. It's slightly pinkish with a beautiful blue shimmer and it looks awesome! Goes on smoothly, too. What a fun and easy alternative to a clear coat for some shine. I would recommend this to anyone and would definitely re-purchase!
Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Target Brand Moisturizing Lotion

I am reviewing the Aloe Fresh Up & Up lotion. Pretty basic, but great stuff. I like to keep a "nice" lotion and an "everyday" lotion in my bathroom, and this is the everyday pick. The scent is present but inoffensive... it more or less smells like what you would expect from a moisturizer with aloe. Nice texture, good price. I do find that the pump stops picking up product when there is still a lot left, so shaking out the last 20% is a little annoying but worth it. I'll buy again and would recommend.
Lipstick -Physicians Formula - Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Lipstick

Oh wow... this is bad! I got this free with in a bronzer package, luckily. The formula is so dry and the color that I ended up with, "nude," is more of an orange-y pink, that shows up sort of chalky and bright on the lips. Sort of like I had colored them with a melted crayon. This went straight into the garbage.
I bought this to use as a finishing coat over Pull Over, Sinful's opaque yellow. For that purpose, it looks great, but again I am disappointed in the formula. This one dries to a grainy finish - it's not really shiny. It's almost as if the polish is too thin for the shimmer particles? I solved the problem with a top coat, but after needing 2 coats for the opaque yellow and 2 coats of Let's Meet to try to even out the consistency, I feel like I've had to do a bit too much work to achieve the look I want. All that said, my screaming yellow nails do look pretty rad...
GREAT color, exactly what I was looking for. This is an opaque, bright sunflower yellow. I absolutely love Sinful's colors, but their formulas are so inconsistent and that makes me sad. This one was pretty streaky and dried to a tacky finish... almost like it never fully dried even though I only used 2 coats. I'll use it this summer, but I don't expect it to last beyond that and I don't think I'd repurchase.
This is THE BEST orange nail polish. Ever. Period. I love to wear it on both fingers and toes all spring and summer long. It is sooo vibrant, and cheap as heck to boot! It is a stunning bright (but not neon) rich color. If you are looking for an orange polish this is IT.
Meh. OPI can charge a premium for their polish because the formula is typically rich and long-lasting, but I don't find that to be the case with this particular color. Long-lasting, maybe... but even after 2 heavy coats this polish is streaky and not quite opaque. I would not purchase again, as I am sure there are white polishes out there that cost a lot less and do a better job.
