My HG of lip balms! I can't say I've tried everything on the market, but I've tried several kinds, including Chapstick, Burt's Bees, and dollar store brands (especially when I went on Accutane and my lips were CONSTANTLY dry, and I'd bought several to always have with me. I wish I'd bought this one during that time). This is really creamy and moisturizing, and is a huge help during the dry winter months. It's also really cheap, and sometimes you can find it on sale for cheaper (2 for $1.99 at SDM)! The only drawback is that it can melt really easily, so better not to keep this in your pocket all day.
My favorite Lush soap! If you're not a fan of citrus smells, this is not a product for you. But if you are, then you need to snap this up during the holiday season! I love the strong grapefruit/ lime scent, it makes my bathroom smell so much nicer! It's also a really beautiful soap in general, with its blue-green blend and chunks of white.
I have found my HG face cleanser! I've used so many cleansers before; several drug store brands, Mary Kay (velocity), Lush... they weren't all bad cleansers, but nothing comes close to this! Although I didn't see results as fast as some of the other reviewers here, the results I saw were great! Acne hasn't been a huge problem for me, especially after using Accutane a few years ago, but I wanted something to control the occasional zits I'd still get, especially around that time of the month. Not anymore! My skin is brighter, and even some hyperpigmentation scars I had from old zits have lightened! My guess my skin is a lot oilier than I thought it was, because I didn't find it too drying it at all, I used it twice a day with no problems! Only now during the winter I've cut back to once a day. The only drawbacks I have are that it states it would clear away little skin bumps too, which I haven't seen results with. I also can't find it at Wal-Mart like some other users here, and I've looked in a few different Wal-Marts! I think I'll try a beauty supply store.
Moisturizers -Lacura - Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream

I bought this based on the excellent reviews I read here on MUA. I paid about $12 CDN on eBay (no Aldi in Canada), and I love it! It's so incredibly moisturizing! The product hasn't made me break out either, but that's rarely been an issue for me. The only drawback is that I haven't noticed a difference in my hyperpigmentation scars. Also,I wish it came in a tube, but the issue of the "antioxidants breaking down in the presence of air" is not that big an issue because you're not leaving the jar open at all times, only when you need it. And remember to close the jar tightly! I went on a trip to Ireland at the beginning of July, and in Killarney, I walked almost 20 minutes to Aldi and picked up 4 jars for 2€ each!! Considering it would cost at least $30 for a VERY similar product under the name of Clinique or Estee Lauder, etc, any drawbacks I have with the product are null.
I've been using this cleanser for more than a year now. I think it's the best cleanser I've used, but I don't feel that it's good enough. I went on Accutane a few years ago, and that helped clear up a lot of the zits I got (would never get many, but I would always have one or two that were HUGE), and wanted something to clear the zits I'd still get occasionally. I find that this product helped, and I love the price and that I can find it anywhere (Canada doesn't have all the cleansers available in the States!). I'd buy it again, but I think I'll also try something new.
I was using Tea Tree Water in the evening after I washed my face. I didn't find it very effective at removing excess oil and cleansers as I have with previous toners. Also didn't see much difference in how my skin looked. But after re-reading some of these reviews, maybe I need to try it again. I'm also used to applying toner onto a cotton ball and then wiping it over my face, so I'm not too fond of the spray bottle, although it does feel refreshing.
I don't buy many bath bombs from Lush, mainly because I don't usually have time for baths. But I really liked this one! Loved how it turned the water red, and I liked the scent, too! It also made my skin very soft. One lippie off because the scent was a bit too light. I don't need it overpowering, but I felt like there was hardly any!
I also got this during the post-Christmas sale. It is edible, and it does taste really good, but I don't find it very good at exfoliating my lips. I find it works better once I've already rubbed my lips with a towel and then used this after. I expected it to have a bit more of a liquid consistency that you can actually spread over your lips, but this is like sugar crystals mostly stuck together in the jar and then mostly falls off your lips while you use it (now I use it over my bathroom sink). I'll finish my jar, but won't be buying a lip scrub from Lush again. I'll stick with my towel.
I've used Cosmetic Lad for over a year. I really like the smell (as another reviewer said, orange creamsicles!), and I think it moisturizes very well. When I finished my pot, I switched over to an Olay facial moisturizer with sunscreen to use over the summer. I found it okay, but I was nearly finished the bottle when I went back to Lush a few days ago. I was originally planning to buy Imperialis, just to try something different, but the Sales Associate said that Cosmetic Lad is more brightening, which I find more beneficial! As soon as I put it on again, I realized just how much I've missed it! I might mix it with the Olay over the summer, but this product really works for me! I personally did not get any residue from this product, and it didn't make me break out. Not the cheapest moisturizer out there, but it's the cheapest of the Lush moisturizers, and it lasts for a long time, about a year (don't use too much each time!)
Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - The Soft Touch Body Butter

I really like this product!! I usually apply it to my legs and knees, since they get so dry they look disgusting (to me). If I put it on in the evening (I put it on dry skin- if you use it after a shower, dry yourself first, then use it) my legs are not ashy and gross the next morning! I highly recommend using a body butter tin for storing this. I'm really glad this worked for me, because I've used other Lush products, and they aren't always effective (e.g. some of their hair stuff). As for the greasiness, yeah it's a bit weird and gross, but if it means I don't have to keep reapplying throughout the day, I can definitely overlook it. :)
I had previously tried Trichomania, and that didn't work for me. So I decided to try a different solid shampoo, and went for soak n float since I have a dandruff problem. I've finished the bar, and it's lasted a few months, but that's using it about 3-4 times a week and only on the scalp. But I used it along with Curly Wurly shampoo. This did not eliminate my dandruff, it just reduced it. But now that I'm done with the bar. Also, about the smell, I could smell it, but it wasn't really strong for me. Overall, I liked it, but no miracles. 3.5/5
I really wanted to love this product. It gets a 2/5 for effectiveness, since my hair was still very frizzy (I noticed many reviewers said they blow-dry their hair, but I usually wash my hair at night, then tie it up and sleep with a small towel across my pillow- could it make a difference?). I didn't find it difficult to take the pieces out of my hair, but I would be a lot more accepting of it if it actually worked for me. And I went through the entire tub. Overall, 3/5 because it smells so good I want to eat it, and I've been tempted on a few occasions. Maybe I'll try it out again when the funds start coming in again. ;)
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Deep Clean Facial Cleanser

I really wanted to like this product. I decided to try a more gentle cleanser because I've been using (different) cleansers with some kind of exfoilant for years. I read online that I should use a gentle cleanser on my face, so I decided to try this. Smells a bit weird, and doesn't lather that easily. The first few days were pretty good, I must admit. However, after about 5 days of use, it was irritating my skin when I used it. I've NEVER experienced this with ANY cleanser I've used before. I used it the next day just to make sure it wasn't just a fluke. Nope it wasn't. It was back to my old cleanser.
This was pretty good for my skin. I bought it new at a garage sale, so it was pretty cheap for me. Though it says to use "a thin layer" it makes it harder to peel off. No miracles here, but it does leave my skin smoother.
On my very first trip to a Lush store, I was intrigued by the idea of a solid shampoo. The store assistant told me to try this one. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. Before using it, my hair felt likie there was a lot of build-up, but I didn't feel that way after using this shampoo. It also reduced (not eliminated) my dandruff. But it didn't do much for my frizz. I'm wondering if I should switch my conditioner, too, and see if I get better results.
