Cleansers -DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil
jumblebee 1/5/2008 1:54:00 AM
I really wanted to like this, I like how it feels, how effective it is at removing makeup and the cost. But sadly it had a really bad effect on my mild acne. I started developing those deep cystic pimples on my cheeks which I've never had before and are really hard to get rid of. Some people say it works with their acne, this just didn't for me- it clogged my skin badly. No dice.

Primer/ Corrector -Rimmel - Recover Perfect Skin Primer - Brightening
jumblebee 11/23/2007 1:43:00 AM
I don't use this as an all over primer because I find it irritates dry patches of my skin but it is AMAZING under my eyes. i mix it in with a tiny bit of mineral powder concealer and dark eye circles are gone! I just make sure to moisturise under my eyes beforehand. Its also nice as a brow bone highlighter.

Blush -Bloom - Sheer Color Cream
jumblebee 6/22/2007 11:47:00 PM
I really like these sheer colour creams! I have rosie and glow. Rosie is a fairly intense pink but because it goes on sheer isnt over the top or fake looking on my skin (pale-medium), just gives a kind of healthy flush, especially when used under BeneFit's dandelion blush. Glow is a more neutral colour thats nice to highlight brow bones. They have a lovely scent as well. My only complaint is that they are a little too shimmery for my liking. UPDATE: purchase a non shimmery creme and I love it. Use it on my lips as well

Eyeliner -BeneFit Cosmetics - BADgal
jumblebee 6/22/2007 11:39:00 PM
Not so keen on this eyeliner. The colour is very grey compared to most black eyeliners and although it goes on easily, it comes off even more easily. Also as someone mentioned its very hard to sharpen, I accidentally killed half the pencil trying to sharpen it. Which sucks because its so thick that it works best when sharpened. Overall the greyness combined with smudginess doesn't really define my eyes or give me hot smokey look, just makes me look kind of haggard. Not to mention the price! Save your money :)

Skincare - Face -Jurlique - Herbal Recovery Gel
jumblebee 6/22/2007 11:23:00 PM
So far I have found this product to be fairly average. It's quite soothing but otherwise no glow, no evening of skin texture, barely moisturises. Most of my skin is fairly oily so I thought I might be able to get away with using it on its own but it leaves my skin quite tacky and makeup doesn't go over it properly, so I definitely have to wear a moisturiser over the top. It's quite nice as an eyecream because it seems to cool and soothe. Another use for it I've found is if I have caked on too much makeup/powder I'll lightly pat some over my makeup to look more dewy. Overall a resounding 'meh'

Cleansers -LUSH - Ultrabland
jumblebee 6/22/2007 11:13:00 PM
I love Ultrabland, I'm on my 3rd pot. Have tried other cleansers but nothing to topple this to use at night. I massage it onto dry skin and remove with damp cotton wool, it removes all my makeup and leaves my skin really soft. I don't moisturise afterwards because I don't need to. My skin is oily in some parts and with a couple of dry patches and mild acne and this is perfect for my skin. Seems to balance oil production and even slightly improved my acne.

Eyeliner -Rimmel - Soft Kohl Eye Pencil
jumblebee 6/22/2007 11:04:00 PM
Have repurchased this eyeliner several times and will again. It goes on really smooth, no tugging. The black is a really pigmented, blackest black and the price is very reasonable for how good it is. Took off one lippy because it smudges really easily and I have to fix throughout the day but I've never found a pencil liner that doesn't smudge!

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse
jumblebee 5/27/2007 6:55:00 AM
I have been using this foundation for a month or so but I'm desperate for a new one because this is rubbish. I have fairly oily skin with a few dry patches and spots. Pros- Perfect colour match, glides on nicely because of the silicone, decent coverage. Cons- Looks very artificial, goes horribly cakey on many areas, might look OK and matte for a very short time then it just dissappears! Very glad I bought this really cheaply on sale.

Lipstick -BeneFit Cosmetics - Lipstick in Flirt
jumblebee 8/1/2006 1:36:00 AM
Have this in the dandelion palette and will definately have to buy a full size one. It is seriously the perfect sweet pinky lipstick. I'm not really a pink lipstick kinda girl but this is a really subtle pink that is really flattering and complements dark, smokey eye makeup perfectly.

Styling Products -Redken - Smooth Down Heat Glide ] [DISCONTINUED]
jumblebee 7/10/2006 4:23:00 AM
Bought this on the strength of MUA reviews and I love love love it! I have fuzzy dry hair and it gave me a totally smooth, salon blow dry. Actually lived up to my really high expectations! Update- Like others have said it builds up really easily so I try to limit my use of it otherwise I'd have to use a clarifying shampoo all the time and I like my shampoo gentle!

Conditioner -LUSH - Coolaulin conditioner
jumblebee 7/10/2006 4:14:00 AM
I have very dry/damaged, coarse hair and this product isn't really moisturising enough as a conditioner for my hair. However I use a little bit as a leave in conditioner/ anti-frizz type serum after the usual wash and condition and it really smooths and softens my hair. If you're looking for a super moisturising conditioner from Lush I would reccomend jungle or retread instead of this! Update- After using this for a while I found it dried my hair out abit, I think it could be the SLS. I've found pure coconut oil to be more effective :)

Treatments -The Body Shop - brazil nut moisture mask
jumblebee 7/6/2006 10:20:00 PM
I have dry, damaged hair and wanted a hydrating mask. I wanted to use a natural product, so bought a tub of this. I was disappointed to find most of the ingredients weren't so natural after all. This is definately a mask that works better the longer you leave it on, when I was in a rush I left it half an hour and it made no difference, but when I left it overnight it made my hair softer. I try not to be put off by the scent but it really is so strong I cannot stand leaving it in my hair for that long. I haven't found any long-term benefits of using this, and overall I would definately not buy again or recommend this to anyone.
