Eye Shadow -Clinique - High Impact Eyeshadow Quad - Spicy

I originally went to Sephora to pick up a nice quad for my mom - but might go and get one for myself! What i like about this palette: - the colors are really pretty and flattering and for day time look. I applied the colors and went outside in the daylight and they were just so flattering - they blended pretty well - they blue eyes POP like crazy. - they made my face look very warm and pretty - the pigment was pretty good. This isn't lady gaga makeup, its taking your cat to the vet or having brunch with friends or going to class - natural and pretty

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - MegaLiner Liquid Eyeliner Dark Brown
juma2011 5/16/2011 1:06:00 AM
I really love this product for a few reasons: - the brush bristles are kind of soft which allows you to get a really great movement when the sweep the liner out at the corner of your eyes and gives a really nice cat-eye line - lasts a long time. i swatched this on my hand and it was still there 3 days later beyond workouts, work, showers etc! On the eye it lasted all day for over 12 hours - Color is lovely - dark brown. Makes my blue eyes POP! - It cost me less than 5 bucks..i think i paid $2.99. You just can't go wrong with that price - Packaging seems sturdy. Hasn't spilled at all and not too much comes out when you pull out the applicator brush. Most definitely recommended. I can't imagine paying $15-$30 for something similar when you can just pay $3! Once the snob factor wore off, i was glad i got this.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Jest Eyeshadow
juma2011 5/9/2011 11:25:00 PM
This is probably one of, if not THE favorite, eyeshadow of all time. Its so pretty and so flattering. Its a wonderfully pigmented coral/beige/pink with a deliciously face illuminating frost. I wore it today on my lid with just mascara and brown kohl liner on the top lid, and it looked fresh and natural It makes blue eyes pop. Absolutely perfect.

Highlighters -BeneFit Cosmetics - High Beam
juma2011 5/8/2011 1:50:00 PM
I'm on my third bottle of this product!! It lasts a long time and you use a tiny drop to get a great effect! I love this product! I was introduced to it by a makeup artist and didn't realize i even needed a highlighter until i got this. It looks like a nail polish with a little brush and goes on divine! It goes on a really pretty pink and dries to a beautiful glow. Its not drying and wears well. Love it.

Highlighters -Physicians Formula - Mineral Glow Pearls- Translucent Pearls
juma2011 5/8/2011 1:15:00 PM
If you want to pay $13 to create a dry spot on your face that looks like you have lots of wrinkles, then buy this product! This product was horrible. Scratchy and drying. It was hardly cheap too but was the only highlighter in the drugstore. Had very little pigment so you need to use a lot to build the sheen. I'm all in favor of lower cost products, but i'd rather just spend $22 on High Beam than $13 on crap.

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
juma2011 5/2/2011 1:27:00 AM
This product didn't work for me. It was really sticky going on, and all day my skin looked really tired and greasy...I just couldn't wait to go home and wash it off. It felt gross and looked gross. I had better luck with Bobbi Brown skin liquid foundation and Smashbox HD (fantastic)

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)

I don't get why this gets such rave reviews. I used this to go out one night and was horrified when i got home and i had the eyelids of an 80yr old!! YIKES! My lids were so dry, scaly and creased i was devastated. I've since tried elfs $3 version and its much better. Maybe this is just bad for dry eye lids.

Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Glossy Gloss - Berry Blush
juma2011 5/2/2011 12:30:00 AM
This is the prettiest, highly pigmented lip gloss i think i've every bought. Its so pretty and flattering and tastes and smells good. The text isn't sticky at all - more like vaseline. The color: Really natural, reddish pink and really looks like your natural lips are really flushed. So gorgeous. The packing is really good too, very solid and sturdy. Looks more than it cost a few bucks!

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Line Eyeshadow 'C' Brush
juma2011 4/26/2011 12:18:00 AM
This product is unbelievably good!! i've bought drugstore brushes before and they really are a load of cr@p - generally speaking. In my brush collection i have sephora, Eco tools, Sonia Kushik (?) Make Up Forever, and a couple of Mac brushes. This brush truly rivals any brush i have. Why i love it: - the bristles are super soft - the bristles are firm but not hard - the bristles are full and dense - the handle is thick with a matt black finish which looks really expensive - it packs on color like CRAZY!! I've never gotten such vibrant color from a brush before - it costed me 3 bucks!! 3 bucks people!! (from Target) - its really sturdy - it feels nice in my hand When i accidently discovered this product i was at Target to buy the sonia kushak brushes and when i saw and felt this brush, i ended up liking it better than the ones i went there to buy.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - ExpertWear Eyeshadow Quad in Chai Latte
juma2011 4/26/2011 12:10:00 AM
This such a nice quad. There are two really nice browns that look really nice on my skin, the lighter brown i use for my eyebrows or to blend in the crease, and the darker one i use either with a brush as a liner or near the last for a brown smoky look The rust colored shadow is definitely the star of the quad. It is smooth and silky and has a beautifully frosted sheen to it - absolutely gorgeous. The pigment is INCREDIBLE. I recently bought MAC in Mythology and its not even half the pigment of this color. I just did a swatch on my arm and i had to swirl around the mac one about five times to get any color whereas i slightly brushed my finger over the Maybelline ONCE to get full and vibrant color. Its better than MAC Mythology (mac is slightly pinker) - so much so that i don't even use the mac one! The lightest is color is okay. I'm not really impressed with it. It might be good for a light highlight on the browbone but not enough pigment to use as a base. I've use it over MACs Vanilla eyeshaw (which i love!) and it looked really nice. I sometimes go over the whole thing with Vanilla if it looks too dark. I pack on the color with the ELF C brush (which is absolutely incredible) btw; i'm not a make up pro, i'm just a regular person

Moisturizers -Alpha Hydrox - 10% Enhanced Cream
juma2011 4/25/2011 11:56:00 PM
This is undoubtedly one of my favorite products of all time. I'm on my 6th tube at least. Why i like it: - Its so instantly soothing and smoothing, it just makes my skin feel like its oozing with moisture (though not oil!) - my skin feels super-hydrated after i put it on. Ahh....blissful! - once its sat on my skin for a while, it feels really hydrated and plump (its feeling particularly good right now because my skin is irritated from trying a bunch of other products) - it prevents breakouts! I know, weird. Apparently, from what i've read, alpha hydroxy acids both slow the production of sebum and slough off the top layer of skin which mixes with the sebum to block pores - my derm told me that alpha hydroxies are the best thing you can put on your skin to slow the aging process. it dislodges dead skin which reveals newer, plump skin. i genuinely notice the difference when i'm wearing it. Notes: - it smells weird! i can't really smell it but an ex boyfriend would wince when i wore it to bed and say that it smelled like something i won't repeat here! - it stings when you first put it on (or the first time you wear it) this is normal. Because its fruity acids, its like lemon juice on your face. However, the more you wear it, the less it will bother you. i've worn it for over 10 years and it only stings me for about 10 seconds - its perfectly safe to use. don't let the word 'acid' make you think chemical - its just fruity acids! - don't wear it for day, its strictly night cream. wearing it during the day will ensure a nice sunburn!! alpha hydroxies make your skin more sensitive to the sun. - i do'nt necessarily use this every night coz i'm afraid my skin will 'get use to it' and stop working!! haha. I do go through phases of wearing it most night, but lately i wear it about once a week to exfoliate and moisturize. lately my skin has felt irritated and greasy as i've been trying out a lot of new foundations, so i'll use this every night this week to calm down my skin and cut down on the greasiness that all those new products are causing - i used to buy it from duane reade and rite aid, but haven't seen it there lately. last time i bought it from bed bath and beyond for about 8 bucks. extra info: i am pale skinned, slightly sensitive to anything too harsh. I also just turned 40 but definately don't look it!! I've used this product at least since my late twenties

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Bronzer Brush
juma2011 4/25/2011 11:08:00 PM
This is probably the softest brush i have ever felt!! I think i paid 5 or 8 bucks for it!! Its nicer than anything i have. The bristles are freakishly soft, its super thick and densely packed and the handle is nice and chunky. The only problem i have is using it for only i thing!! I always want to put my foundation on with it because it gives such an airbrushes finish. Then i want to also put my bronzer on with it because it really blends well and feel good. I also want to use it for my blush because it has a not too large head which is great for blush, and then when im done, i want to use it to buff on a little face power. Wow...this is probably the best drugstore purchase ever. I will probably go out an buy a few more so i can use them for various things.

Moisturizers -Kiehls - Ultra Facial Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 - Light [DISCONTINUED]
juma2011 4/25/2011 9:44:00 PM
I absolutely LOVE this product. It a tinted moisturizer but the coverage is more like a foundation and it has an amazing staying power!! The light is too light and the medium is too dark, so i have both and i mix them. Actually this works out well because in summer i'm darker anyway because of my fake tanner. I has the most beautiful, dewy look. I've been a bit of a Sephora whore recently and trying out samples of everything; Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, Make up Forever - and i keep going back to this product because it looks so beautifully healthy and natural.. If you want 100% this is not the product for you. If you want to LOOK like you have make up on, this is not for you. If you want to feel comfortable, with medium, soft coverage and look heallthy and clear skinned, then this is for you.. ps. I usually wash my face, add a moisturizer and then with my hands still moisturized i put a little in my palm, rub it around and rub onto face. voila. pps the bottle is a bit messy because it has a screw top and a spout. though, its so nice i just put up with it.
