i have used this product a couple of times and it caused me to have a flare up of ezcema and my skin was red and dry and stinging. my face was even stinging when i only used water on my face. it also has a strange texture. my skin was not even very senstive. i have also had a reaction to a few other a'kin products. i would be careful if you have sensitive or ezcema prone skin.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - A'kin Rosehip & Shea Intensive Moisture Anti-oxidant Complex

i started using this when my normal/combo skin went drier. i do not like the fact it is very thick and in a pot. when i applied it to my skin it felt very greasy and did not soak in very well. i started getting very red and inflamed skin especialy around my eyes. which my doctor said was ezcema. i had never suffered from that before. i discovered it was this cream causing it as when i discontinued use my skin settled down. i think i am allergic to the rosehip oil as i am ok with most of the a'kin range . it also found the scent to be a bit strong which might be a problem for sensitive skin

it has a good content list including Essential fatty Acids vitamins a ,c e and b5 omegas 3/6/9. it is for all skin types for night time. i have normal/combination skin and it is light and not greasy and sinks in well but the smell is too strong and overpowering. i also found my skin was stinging after use. i definately do not recommend for sensitive or dry skins. i also did not feel it did much to improve my skin condition. also as in a pot container it is not very hygenic. i would have preferred a tube

this is a great moisturiser for day as it soaks in quickly and does not leave a greasy residue. it is ideal for all skin types. the smell is not really noticable. unless you have very dry skin i would recommend this. even though it is a light texture i feel that it provided me with the right amount of moisture. it makes a good base before makeup. it contains vitamins a b5 c & e and omega 3/6/9 Essential fatty acids also has ALA alpha lipoic acid

Toners -Unlisted Brand - A'kin orange blossom & chamomile toner

i like the fact it is chemical free. the smell i found nasty and very medicinal. i found that this was drying and did not leave the skin very soft. i felt it did not also clean very well. i felt it was a pointless product that did not really do nothing for my skin. i also felt that it broke me out the next day. i recommend for oily skin only

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - a'kin sandalwood & neroli cleansing gel

this cleansing gel for oily/combination skin did not do anything special for my skin. i found the smell a bit like furniture polish. after rinsing my skin felt quite dry. it felt like a cheap cleanser. it also did not remove my makeup very well. i also had a few spots when using this and it did not help to clear them. it was quite average performance wise. unless your skin is very oily i do not recommend. i think the rose & geranium is far better for most skin types.

I am now on my 4 tube of this cleanser. i love the fact that it contains no chemicals. it is also very economical. you can either rinse off with water or cotton wool. i prefer to take of with water or you get left with a rich feel. you only need a very small amount. i feel it smells natural but it is quite strong. if your skin is sensitive to fragrance this might not be suitable. it leaves my skin soft and it removes all my makeup and it has not broke me out.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - A'kin - Rosehip Oil
rated 5 of 5
juli086 9/7/2008 12:11:00 PM

i bought this as i like the chemical free products. i tried this as an alternative to decleor. i am very pleased with how this works. i use it after a spritz of toner as i feel it works better on slightly damp skin. you use it morning and night 3/4 drops. i had a bad pigmentation mark around my eye and after 3 weeks of using this it has faded a lot. i dont find the smell bad. i have acne prone skin and this does not break me out. be careful not to use more than 3/4 drops otherwise it will be to greasy. Update i have started having ezcema and i think the rosehip oil is to blame as when i stopped ithe rosehip my skin has cleared up. to get my skin right it has taken a couple of months. i had two bright red circles of very sore inflamed skin around my eyes

Gels/Soaps -Unlisted Brand - bentley organic / detoxifying bodywash
rated 4 of 5

i was looking for a good organic chemical free range that was not expensive and i came across this in my local ASDA for £2.50 for 250ml. it is called a detoxifying bodywash that has grapefruit, lemon and seaweed oils and spices and is %77 organic and has no sls/or parabens. it is quite thick and clear and it lathers really well and leaves my skin really soft and not dry. it smells like lemon curd and for the price is very good. it is a flip cap and the ideal shape to use in the shower.

Toners -Liz Earle - Liz Earle Instant Boost skin tonic
rated 4 of 5
juli086 5/14/2008 11:44:00 AM

i find this to be a really good toner and i can also use on my eyes without being irritated. i also find this very good in the hot weather in a spritzer bottle to refresh you face. i like the fact that if my eyes are sore i feel this helps soothe the area. i feel though that my bottle does not last very long. it does not sting my skin and does make my moisturiser easier to apply. i ilke the fact that it conatins aloe vera and vitamin e , cucumber.calendula, chamomile, and it also conatins essential oils of lavender, orange, rosewood and rose geranium. i feel that it smells lovely and leaves the skin refreshed and not greasy or dry.

Skincare - Face -Liz Earle - Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
rated 1 of 5
juli086 5/14/2008 11:33:00 AM

i used this for a few weeks and i started getting large red lumps and very sensitive and sore skin and i am normally combination and not sensitive. i thought at first it was another product but i then realised it was this. it took me weeks to get my skin back to how it was before i started using this cleanser. i think one of the factors of irritation is the eucalyptus this contains. i definately do not recommend this if you have roseaca or very sensitive skin. i also feel it does not clean your face very well. i also would not use near your eyes like they say is possible. i am really surprised that it keeps winning awards for best cleanser as i feel it is over rated. definately buy a small tube if you want to try this.

Toners -Elemis - Balancing Lime blossom Toner
rated 3 of 5
juli086 8/12/2007 10:29:00 AM

i like the fact that it is a spray and it is economical. i just found it a bit to scented and overpowering. i felt that my skin was a bit tight after using this and a bit dried out. i would recommend trying the small 50ml size first. i like the fact that it contains lavender. i will stick the the apricot one for sensitive skin as i found this more refreshing and better for my skin.

i had wanted to try this for a while so i bought a 50ml size. the texture is nice and it does smell nice but it is a bit too strongly scented for my liking. when i applied it it made my face sting and i have oily/blemish prone skin that is not normally sensitive to products. i usually use liz earle cleanse and polish. it is stated on tv demos that it my be used to remove eye makeup but i would not advise this due to the heavy scent and the fact it made my face sting. i found that it did remove my makeup but my face felt very tight after use. i do not recommend for women with very sensitive skin.

Bronzers -Laura Geller - Bronze-N-Brighten

I HAD SEEN ON QVC AND WANTED TO TRY IT SO I GOT A SMALL SIZE COMPACT AND I WAS GLAD I HAD. IT DID NOT EVEN MY SKIN TONE AS IS STATED AND AFTER ONE APPLICATION ANY MORE AND I WAS LEFT WITH A MUDDY AND ORANGE LOOK. I FELT CAKED AND LIKE THE OLD TANGO ADVERTS. ALSO I HAD A LAURA GELLER BUKI BRUSH AND IT IS POOR QUALITY AND IT DROPS THE HAIRS OFF ONTO MY SKIN AND INTO THE MAKEUP. I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED. ALSO SOME COMPACTS HAVE A LOT OF DARK PIGMENTS AND NO PINK SO GET EVEN DARKER LOOK BUT THEY ARE ALL DIFFERENT SO IT WOULD JUST BE LUCK TO FIND THE RIGHT COMBINATION.

Mascara -Smashbox - Thats a Wrap

i found this a terrible product. it gives me the spider lash effect and i get panda eyes and feel like my eyes cannot open. it does colour them but no body or lift. and after only 30mins it smudges. i did not use a primer so that might have made a difference but i have used a lot better products for half of the cost. i would advise buying it off the auction sites first before you spend a lot of money on this.
