Ok so I have thick curly hair that is fine, not coarse. I have never tried a BKT, and my hair is not colored. I had a friend do the treatment on me, and I kept it for maybe a little less than 48 hours (had to go to work!). We ended up using almost the whole bottle, but I have a lot of hair. I was confused about whether we were supposed to try to blow out my hair after the product was in it or just blow dry it, in any case my friend used a big round brush to try and dry it, as if she was blowing it out. My hair was really greasy and it was a pain keeping it the whole weekend, I didn't even want to go out because it looked like i had a helmet on. Once I washed my hair it turned curly but it felt different, somewhat heavy but smoother maybe? the curls were more compact. I let it air dry and it was less frizzy than it would have been before, not a whole dramatic difference. I then proceeded to iron it, and I expected it to take like 10-15 minutes based on the reviews I've read but it took like 30 but it did look really nice. Normally it would have taken maybe 45 to an hour. Im not sure if Im supposed to be using their flat iron spray but I used two pumps of Kerastase serum ONLY and my hair came out super shiny and straight. I did not have to section it off even, I just kept going over the hair. I know I shouldn't be expecting a dramatic difference but I am happy with my hair. It has stayed virtually the same the whole day, and hasn't frizzed out on me. I have heard some reviewers say that when you apply it a second time it works even better, so I am contemplating doing it again.
I have long full curly hair that takes about 1 hour and half to usually straighten with an iron alone. I have used the Hai, Chi, and Solia in the past. My Solia recently has started to break down after two years of usage. By breakdown I mean that it takes a while to straighten my hair now, whereas in the past it was a lot quicker. The GHD iron does the job in terms of straightening, and is quick. It also does not snag my hair often. I have the 1 3/4 inch iron. The only issue is that it does not get my roots very well, which i think is probably due to the size of the iron. If i could I would possibly get a smaller iron, but then again would I lose the difference in straightening time? Another issue is if the price is worth it for this iron, considering it is more expensive than some other popular irons out there.
I have continued using this body wash through three bottles. I used to develop acne on my back and this has eliminated them. (knock on wood!) In the past ive tried stuff with salicylic acid, and other acne soaps, as well as more natural soaps. There has never been any other body wash that has done this for me, and I definitely feel that it is the charcoal because ive never used a product with charcoal. I know that the Japanese have used charcoal in their baths and it is supposed to be cleansingIt could also be the zinc, but who knows. Anyways, i would definitely recommend this to anyone with problem skin who wants a more natural body wash to use.
I use this in combo with Kerastase oleo relax serum and the oleo relax maquinese. This combo works really well to straighten my hair. I am mixed and my hair is curly and of a coarse texture. When I use an iron my hair comes out really smooth, and when it's blow dried straight it comes out nice too. Ive used another product in place of the redken in the past, and the results aren't the same.
I keep seeing reviews that say that it smells like fruity mall perfume, but i totally disagree. This is the kind of scent only a young person should wear, and it really depends on your personality. It's fun, fruity, delicious..makes someone want to take a bite out of you. Sometimes the smell will change on you because of your own body oils, so it won't smell the same as it would on another person. Personally I don't like smelling like old woman musk, so you really shouldn't even look at this line if u want a traditional scent.
I don't understand the packaging; the dropper thing is weird. I'm not even really sure if this did anything to my scalp, I felt like my head felt the same either way-not any better.
Absolutely a great product. It's expensive yes, but it does great things to your hair-particularly if you're looking to straighten afterwards. It makes a big difference. I don't personally care for the packaging, im always afraid that it will tip over in the sink and spill my $40 down the drain.
This is a great product to use to straighten your hair, either with a straightening iron or blow drying. I don't use it alone however, because I'm not sure that it protects hair from heat. I usually use the oleo-relax treatment in the shower and then put 2-3 pumps of the oleo-relax serum and Redken 05 straight; this is a superb combo to get your hair straight and smooth-particularly for anyone with a lot of curl.

I really expected a lot out of this product after everything that I read about it. I have extremely sensitive skin so i was hoping for a product that could cleanse my skin without overdrying it. Maybe it is the fact that it has to be rubbed off, but my face turned red after using it, and totally dried out. So surprising!
