Concealers -Revlon - ColorStay Blemish Concealer with Soft Flex
judydd 3/29/2013 12:47:00 PM
Is this product being discontinued? I have used it for years, and now use it on T zone but not near eyes (use other Color Stay under-eye concealer for that--one w/o the salacitic acid). Foundations no longer look nice on my aging skin, but this stuff covers the worst with benefits. It fills pores, prevents blackheads and breakouts, plus it helps dry up any red bump. But it does go on with a drag unless one uses a moisturizer first, which I do. The color is just right--Fair, which is not always easy to find. Sometimes Light is the lightest shade on a rack, and it has too much yellow in it for my skin.

Cleansers -St. Ives - Make-up Remover & Facial Cleanser with soothing chamomile
judydd 3/20/2013 5:18:00 PM
I've used this product for years, and now can not find it in stores. Has St. Ives stopped making it? It's great because one can massage it into dry face, clean off with wet wash cloth, and not have to splash water all over the place. I hate those cleansers which require wetting face first, lathering, rubbing, then rinsing and most of the make up comes off on the towel instead of on the wash cloth/rinse water. It is gentle on my skin and does not require rubbing which is irritating.

Shampoo -John Frieda - Full repair shampoo
judydd 2/3/2013 4:54:00 PM
Have to write this review: my hair had become droopy, unmanageable, dead and anything I did or tried, failed. These reviews had some good comments about this shampoo, so I bought some along with the conditioner, and a complimentary sample size of Style Revival, which was/is nice but found the shampoo and conditioner worked well without additional products. I write this in case anyone else is struggling with hair problems. I hate to mention it but had been using Loreal Ever Pure products, which were fine for a few months, then hair became awful and this opinion was reinforced by my usual hairdresser who thought I needed an extreme cut to get rid of the "weight" to fix it. Turns out I only needed the Full Repair from John Frieda, and my hair has grown out from the needless cut. Now I get compliments and feel I have good hair again.

Bronzers -Rimmel - Natural Bronzer- 21 Sun Light
judydd 8/6/2012 5:45:00 PM
Having bought several bronzers which were not exactly what I wanted (too much shimmer, color not right), I tried one more. This one works well and I like it a lot. I use it for shading more than for a glow. It has nice color without shimmer. It helps shade my very fair skin under my chin where the skin is pasty white, it sculpts cheeks, and hopefully distracts from the cheeks starting to sag. It's good tool to sweep the color (Sun Bronze) across the neck area just below my face which gets no sun. Age aside, it brushes in nicely and blends well. Does not look obvious. The color is very nice and would work for any fair to medium skin to give a natural sun kissed look. Can't beat the price either.

BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium

Was looking forward to having this when I finally found it on store shelves because I really like Garnier Skin Renew with 28 SPF. BUT, this product looks like mud on my fair skin. The lightest tint has a yellow-brown cast, sits there like grease and feels gooey. I washed it off after a few hours, fearing a break-out because it felt so heavy and uncomfortable. A big disappointment. It might work better on darker, drier skin.
