Blush -Lancome - blush subtil miel glace

This is my HG blush and this means a lot to me. I have a LOT of blushes and I'm usually drawn to younger brands like UD or MUFE and I always found lancôme a bit older. Oh I was so wrong. I love, love, this blush. I'm so glad for mua because it's not a color that I would have picked up by myself. I have fair skin prone to redness and a round face. This makes things complicated. I want some sculpting without looking overly red. This color is perfect. Combined with a neutral color foundation it gives me a warm glow that's not muddy, nor red. It stays all day and doesn't transfert. I use a mac 168 to apply it on my cheek bones. This costs 38$ in Canada. If you are a fair reddish girl you need this blush. My BF even commented on me looking pretty when I first put it on.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Deluxe fan brush
rated 5 of 5
judiness 4/1/2013 8:33:00 PM

This is a really great big size fan brush. It comes it the new reusable plastic pouch from ecotools that you can use for storage or travel. The bristles are incredibly soft and quite dense for a fan brush. Since it's a big fan brush it can be use for many purposes: to wipe off excess product, to apply setting powder, to lightly apply powder foundation, for applying blush/bronzer or cheek highlighter. I tried it with my most ridiculously pigmented matte bright fuchsia eyeshadow/blush as a blush with I could never do before and it gave my porcelain skin a nice doll look that doesn't look clownish. I bought it for 8,99$ in Canada, for that price you have nothing to lose. If you don't like it to apply products you can always use it to wipe off excess products.

Concealers -Maybelline - Fit Me
rated 5 of 5

I have Nw15 skin and the color 15 is perfect for me. It is pink so it's perfect for concealing blue around the eyes. (I don't have dark circles per say, just a lot of blue tint). I like to use a lot of concealer and applying it in a triangle shape to avoid the panda effect. It's really perfect, I said it with HD powder and it last all day. It's also a dream to blend and doesn't cost as much as my HG MUFE lift concealer.

Lipstick -BeneFit Cosmetics - full-finish lipstick lady's choice
rated 4 of 5

I bought this lipstick a long time ago, but I wasn't using it because it looked to brown on me. I know use it as a blush and it's a perfect color! I swipe the lipstick on the back of my hand and I tap a small stippling brush in it. It looks so good. It gives a perfect dusty rose colour to the cheeks!

Blush -Tarte - Cheek Stain in Tipsy
rated 5 of 5
judiness 2/10/2013 12:22:00 PM

I LOVE this blush. I have two stains, dollface and tipsy and I love both soooo much. These are two great sheer shades for fair skin. I tried various application methods and my favorite one is with a small stippling brush. I like to control exactly where I put the blush. This color gives a nice warm pink glow to my skin. I like to pair this one with a neutral eyeshadow look and coral lipgloss.

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Photo Finish Color Correcting Foundation Primer- Smashing Color Adjust
rated 4 of 5
judiness 2/10/2013 9:43:00 AM

I bought this primer two weeks ago and I wanted to test it before writing a review. My skin is very pink MAC NW15, MUFE HD 115, or maybelline fit me 115. I have a bit f rosacea and lot of redness on my tamples and cheeks. My skin is also dry and reactive. When you first put this primer it feels very soft. It has absolutely no smell which I love. It really neutralise most of my redness. Sure the brighter spots are still shinning through put concealer can take care of that. If it were any more green it would leave a green cast to the skin. The foundation glides through really easily. I even tested it on my boughtfriend on one side of his face and most of his redness was gone. Would I recommand it? Sure if you have larger red areas and you can afford it. Here it cost 48 can$ before tax and I live in the province with the higher taxes... I will probably try MUFE HD primer in blue for the summer since my skin i usually less red and save this very expensive primer for the colder months. I really love it though!

Blush -Tarte - Fantastic Foursome 4 Pc Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush Enthusiast Set
rated 4 of 5
judiness 2/3/2013 4:02:00 PM

This is a great set. The colors are all great except stellar which appears muddy on my skin and has not a great pigmentation. I love magic and fantastic they are so bright, you need to use a tiny amount on y fair skin. Angelic is also nice but not very unique. I wish they would add the to blushes to their regular collections. Unlike the full sizes, you can't depot thoese blushes.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Small Stipple
rated 4 of 5
judiness 1/18/2013 1:47:00 AM

I wanted to have a small stipple brush for a long time, but wasn't willing to spend a fortune on it. Let's be honnest a small stipple brush is more of a luxury item, it's not something you absolutely need in your kit. I'm glad I did though. This brush is nice and firm and the bristles are quite dense. You can use it in different way. When I apply my foundation with my Mac stipple brush I alternate with this one for my chin (where I need more coverage) and around my eyes. After foundation I spread a very pigmented cream blush (such as MUFE HD) and use the same brush to stipple it on my cheek. It's perfect for those dryer harder to spread type of blush. I sometimes apply my concealer as well with it but it's not the best use for it. You still need to blend with your fingers after all. Overall I am very satisfy with it and reach for it much more than I though I would!

Blush -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Dollface
rated 5 of 5
judiness 12/12/2012 10:42:00 PM

I love this blush. I has the most flatering shade of pink for fair to light skin. It's very creamy, well pigmented and the lasting power is awesome. It's a perfect dusty rose to wear with a cat eye and pale pink lips. I love it so much I wish every fair girl would wear it. For reference I am MUFE Face and Body 2 Mac NW15 with auburn hair and green eyes.

Blush -Maybelline - Fit Me - Medium Coral
rated 2 of 5
judiness 12/10/2012 10:34:00 PM

This is a poor quality blush, even for the price. I use a mix of high end and drugstore products and this is seriously one of the wost product I've ever bought. The blush is vert hard and poorly pigmented. Don't waiste your money. If you want a cheep blush buy Essence or NYC instead.

Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Face & Body Foundation
rated 5 of 5
judiness 12/10/2012 10:30:00 PM

I've been using this foundation for almost ten years and it's the absolute best foundation I've ever use. I have dry sensitive skin and this leaves the most gorgeous dewey finish. I've tried the HD foundation from the same brand and it's really not the same. I applied it for years with a latex free sponge, but I've now switch to a stippling brush. Whatever I use it always look flawless. I use number 2 wih is the perfect match for my pink skin. This is a light to medium coverage foundation which I love. I always though that make up is suppose to make people say you look good, not your make up looks good. I wouldn't recommand it for people with oily skin or serious scaring though.

Brows -Yves Rocher - Brow Pencil
rated 5 of 5

I also have this pencil in cendré and it's pure perfection. Every good eyebrow pencil as to be powdery and firm in order to do a perfect look and this one delivers. It does the most perfect natural look and the brush is awesome. I use it to filx my eyebrows with it with regular hair gel.

Skincare - Body -Yves Rocher - Monoi De Tahiti Gardenia Oil
rated 4 of 5
judiness 6/20/2012 10:47:00 PM

In Canada real Monoi is really expensive and hard to find. I tried monoi from the tiki brand which I prefer over this one but Yves Rocher is a good alternative on a budget. I got it at 2 for one. Mineral oil seals the cuticule more than coconut oil so this is a good oil as a leave in on my damp highlighted mid-back hair. It's useless as a pre-treatment though. I also use this oil after shaving. I took of one lippie because of the slightly chemical smell. Will repurchase!

Pressed Powders -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear® Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Powder - Creamy Natural
rated 5 of 5
judiness 6/20/2012 9:35:00 PM

I'm suprised about the bad reviews on this. I absolutely love this powder.I use it after moisturiser and a brightening primer on my eyelids and underneath the eyes. I start with a mineral concealer brush and put the beige color underneath my eyes, the pink one on my eyelids, the yellow as a highlight color on my brow bone and the green where i'm scared and red. I then take a powder brush swirl all the colors together and put it everywhere. It is true that the powder is pale so go darker than you think! It can be a bit chalky so use a very soft brush on it (I use the one from the body shop). It's a great summer product and great for traveling. LOVE IT.

Blush -L'Oreal - Magic Souffle Blush
rated 5 of 5
judiness 4/26/2012 11:43:00 PM

I've always been an HE snob and I owns TONS of products from make up for ever and MAC. Lately, I've been trying to cut down on my expenses and try some pharmacy brands. This blush is really a find. I bought it in celestial down and it's perfect. It's smooth so easy to blend, the finish is dewy but not sparkly, this is honestly probably the best blush I've ever own.
