Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Unlisted Brand - Tomato ketchup

I had a hair disaster on Monday. I bleached my hair as usual and used an anti yellowing masque that was included with the bleach. I thought it was very a very strong blue when I slathered it on my hair but I left it on for the recommended 3 minutes. When I rinsed it off, my hair was blue! I was horrified. I washed and coditioned my hair again and some of the blue faded but it was still horrible. I was desperate. I had heard that ketchup removes the green tinge that chlorine gives when you swim in pools. So I covered my hair in ketchup. I was nervous it was going to turn orange, so I only left it on for five minutes. I washed and conditioned my hair again and it was now an acceptable shade albeit still rather grayish blue. I repeated the ketchup treatment today; this time I left it on about 7 minutes. My hair has been restored to its platinum glory! I am ecstatic. If you have overdone the blue/violet shampoo or conditioner or if your highlights are too ashy, I thoroughly recommened a ketchup treatment. Put it on damp hair, leave it on for a few minutes, then wash and condition as usual. You'll be pleased with the results. You can always repeat the process until you are happy with your colour. And as far as I can tell, ketchup is not damaging to bleached hair.
I am always on the lookout for organic products since I can't tolerate putting chemicals on my skin. I'm also not afraid to use a product for different parts of my body and face other than what they are specifically intended for. This is a serum for stretch marks but I find it works extremely well on my face. It's packed with great ingredients, it is incredibly affordable - about £5.00 - and it has a firming and toning effect. I use it at night after cleansing and before moisturising. I only need a small pea size dollop for my face, neck and chest. I also use it in the morning if I can't be bothered to make my diy vit C serum. It is a great product which can be used from top to toe!
I use pearl powder as a primer before I put on my mineral makeup. I brush it on right after I have moisturised. It mattifies my skin , makes pores less visible and helps my mmu adhere better. It somehow gives my face a subtle glow but no shimmer. I also use it mixed in equal parts with silk powder as a finishing product. It works much better at getting rid of shine than any commercial powders or mineral veils I have tried. The added bonus is that it is a pure product and I have noticed my skin is more even toned since I have been using it.
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Homemade Vitamin C Serum

I have been using vitamin C homemade serum for over two weeks and I love it. I bought a large size of pure ascorbic acid from the health food store and the first time I mixed 1/8 tsp of ac with 2tsp of water and I applied it to my face, neck and chest. It dried to a whitish powder and I rinsed it off because it felt really gritty. I also noticed a dark pigmentation spot under my eye got darker and I was reluctant to use it again. After a couple days the spot faded somewhat so I thought I'd give it another try. This time I mixed the ac with Reviva Rosewater spray. This really worked because the rosewater spray has glycerin and hayaluronic acid plus lots of other really good ingredients. The serum glided on my skin, did not leave a gritty residue and I did not have to rinse it off. I was able to use my moisturiser on top of it. I make the serum fresh every day. It's so simple; 1/8 tsp of ac and 2tsp of Reviva rosewater spray. My skin has responded extremely well. It's glowing and the texture is much more refined. I also make sure I rub some serum on the back of my hands. It is an excellent treatment.
Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Earth friendly baby eco baby wipes

These wipes are great for taking makeup off including mascara. They are organic with camomile and calendula. They leave my skin soft and cleansed. They come in a pack of 72 and they are very cheap about £2.80. Absolutely no nasties unlike most makeup wipes.
I have had freckles all my life but whilst they looked cute when I was younger they are unsightly on my older face. I tried rubbing lemon juice on my face a few times but it made my sensitive skin red and blotchy and stung very badly. I now mix a tsp of juice with a tsp of milk and it works much better for me. I leave it on my cleansed face 10 to 15 min and rinse off the moisturise as usual. My skin glows and my freckles are fading. I have taken one lippy off because it is too strong on its own for me.
I mix this with my vitamin C powder to make my daily serum. I use 1/8 of a tsp of vit C and 2 tspns of spray. I find it disolves the powder really well and it has glycerin and hayaluronic acid in it. The smell is a bit strong but it does go away after 20 minutes or so. The new formula has no parabens.
What a great brush at an amazing price. I was looking for a replacement for my discontinued Paula Dorf smokie brush which I lost:-) and this is an fantastic substitute. It works great in the crease and it gives an excellent smokey eye. Great quality!
I use this on my eyebrows and I have noticed a difference. Like many women if my generation I overplucked in the past only to end up with sparse brows. This has made them fuller and longer. However I will not buy it again unless they change the formulation and remove the parabens.
Pure broccoli seed oil is miraculous for my bleached, dry, frizzy hair. It smooths my hair like the expensive "cone" ladden serums I used in the past. I have gone "cone" and sls free for a couple of years due to severe allergies and was so glad when I discovered I can have smooth hair from a pure product. The oil has a light consistency and it's not greasy. I use it after my blowdry; just a few drops and I get lovely smooth hair. It is also great as a facial oil. A super versatile oil!
This is a horrible product. I was given a sample by my hairdresser who said it was pure oil and great for my bleached hair. I tried it twice it made my hair lanky but worst of all my scalp itched like mad. I should've checked the ingredients before I used it. The two main ingredients are silicones. Ugh! It took me over two weeks to get rid of the horrible itch.
Powder -Unlisted Brand - Miessence-Mineral Foundation Powder Fair

This is the purest mineral powder I have ever come across. It's organic and has no titanium dioxide. The coverage is sheer but you can build it up to a more heavy coverage; still I would say it is suitable for people with fairly good skin. I love the lightness of it and how it feels on my skin. It gives me a glow but it's not shiny. Really lovely product.
Mascara -Kiko Cosmetics - Kiko Top Coat Lengthening Mascara

I discovered Kiko in Berlin and bought just one eyeyeshadow. I was impressed with the quality and was annoyed with myself for not buying more stuff. Now there is a Kiko in London and boy am I really glad! I really like this brand. High quality, nice packaging and so affordable. This mascara does exactly what it says. I use it on top of my regular mascara on the outer corner lashes and it gives me fluttering eyelashes as if I had extensions. Really love it!
I don't like this mascara. It clumps and flakes like mad and the brush is so unwielding. Yes it gives some volume and length but so do other mascaras. Nothing special about this one.
I was told to use this by my dermatologist. I bought it online and used it a couple of times. It made my skin dry and irritated. I then checked the ingredients and it is made with SLS and full of parabens. I can't think why this is supposed to be a gentle cleanser and why would a doctor reccommend it. Really nasty stuff.
