Great color - dark but not too black, and lasts all day.
Styling Products -Garnier - Curl Shaping Spray Gel

Works really well at defining my wavy/curly hair. I used to blow-dry my hair straight, but wanted to quit that & work with the texture I have. My hair is just past my shoulders - I spray about 7 pumps of the gel into my hand & then distribute evenly through my hair. It helps define & hold the curl, and my hair stays soft. It'll take me a long time to use up the whole bottle. Good stuff!
Terrible stuff. Too much product comes out on brush, and doesn't go on smoothly - blobs of mascara. Just cheap crap.
Conditioner -Paul Mitchell - Super Skinny Daily Treatment Conditioner

Blech! This stuff leaves a weird film on my hair - it feels dirty. Doesn't smooth my hair or reduce drying time. I've tried using less product, rinsing more, etc. - still horrible results. Don't waste your money on this!!
Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Super Skinny Daily Shampoo

Horrible stuff! I bought the shampoo/conditioner together, and they make my hair feel like I didn't wash the conditioner out - yuck! I've tried using this several times - using less product, rinsing more, etc. Same nasty result each time. It doesn't make my hair any smoother or faster to dry, either. Don't waste your money!
Cheap & great for touch-ups - I keep one at my desk.
Concealers -Maybelline - Super Stay 24 Hour Concealer

Great stuff! Covers way better than more expensive stuff I have tried. If you apply lightly & build coverage it doesn't emphasize lines. Really brightens up my eyes. Works well as spot concealer elsewhere on my face, too. Lasts a long time.
The brush is horrible! Weird spiral shape - too big to reach inner lashes without smearing all over. And the mascara does practically nothing. Terrible stuff!
Just OK. Got the trial size. The mascara tended to clump, and I hate the curved brush. Lots better mascaras out there!
Concealers -L'Oreal - visible lift line minimizing concealer

Doesn't cover all that well, and it fades away in a couple of hours on me. Don't like the click-pen delivery - seems like it's either too much or too little. Still need to use my finger to blend it. Lots of better concealers out there.
Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

The color matched well, and the foundation blended well, but after a few hours it really emphasized my pores, and my skin looked greasy. I still have a lot of oil in my T-zone - maybe if your skin is drier it would work well. I'm sticking with Clinique Superbalanced.
The smell is HORRIBLE!! Hairspray is only so-so. I'm tossing this just because of the smell, though - I can't stand smelling like that!!
This is the only stuff I will wash my face with. I'm pushing 50, but still have oily T-zone and acne-prone (I never would have believed this at 16...!). My dermatologist recommended this, as well as the Cetaphil moisturizer. Since I've been using this, I rarely need to use moisturizer - everything else I used to wash my face with was just drying out my skin. It takes some getting used to - it doesn't lather like soap, or leave your face feeling squeaky clean. I didn't like the feel of it at first. And use a make-up remover for your eye makeup - this is just for your face.
I have been wearing Lancome liquid foundation for years. I have combination skin with a tendency to cystic acne - their foundations NEVER cause my skin to break out. This has a good medium coverage, and gives a good matte finish. The cost is worth it to me - just wait to buy it until they have a promotion going on, so you get something free. ;-)
Ulta has a great range of colors, and their lipsticks are fairly inexpensive, but they really tend to dry out my lips. The lipstick goes on feeling very moist, but after awhile my lips get very dry. Sometimes I layer a better lipstick on lightly first, and then use the Ulta.
