Yes, I too have tried all mineral makeups out there....BE, La Bella Donna, true, Phy Form, you name it. I love the level of coverage...very buildable....some days I need more, some less, and this always works beautifully for me. I personally use my own Trish round flat face brush to apply for more coverage, a fluffy brush for less. My skin looks like skin, and I really really do feel as if I have NO MAKEUP ON MY FACE! I am a normal/combo skin type, and minerals always have a tendency to look and feel heavy on my skin as my natural oils come through during the day...but this performs well. I still blot with shine papers and use a little BE mineral veil on top to control shine during the day, but it really does not cake up and feel heavy like other mineral powders, despite the small amount of shea butter in the product, which, some feel is a minus, but I feel is a very def. plus, considering I live in a very arid climate, and minerals can dehydrate skin a little sometimes..the shea butter gives a nice slip,,,,a kind of "buttery look" to the skin if you will....my boyfriend told me my skin looked glowy, like I had no makeup on...."like before"...I was wearing BE and all the others before. Now, they are in the trash! Thank you Pur Minerals!!
I am a freelance makeup artist that works for many higher end lines, and am lucky enough to get "Gratis" or free makeup, a lot, but I really think that this new product from maybelline is of the highest quality and is a wonderful, beautiful coverage product. If you have oily, or combo skin with Med to Large pores, you will be esp pleased. If you generally look to drugstore brands only for staples like lipstick and makeup sponges, please do yourself a favor and look again at this new product. ! This is a fabulous inexpensive find! I have oily skin, and makeup slides right off me, esp in the warm summer months, and I usually have to powder and rice paper blot like crazy, but this one minimized that a LOT!! It covered beautifully with a light application with my Trish Mcevoy Foundation brush, and I only powdered my T-zone and HOURS later, only did a T-zone touch up! My skin looked very smooth and soft, and even my boyfriend commented that for a makeup- it looked very glowy and Un mask like! If you have blemishes or need more coverage, just lightly layer after the initial morning application and just add concealer where needed, and you should be pleased. Don't worry about what another reviewer said about this showing flakes if you have them...if you do, just make sure that you gently cleanse, exfoliate and moisuturize before application. If you are concerned about the jar packaging being hygenic, just remove a small amount with a clean q-tip each time you dip into the jar... A great new product! I got it at Target on sale for 5.99 too........

Like most women, I have tried pretty much every mascara under the sun, from Maybelline to Clinque. I actually stumbled onto this product- it came as a free gift after ordering Lauren's wonderful face disc on HSN. I was really impressed! I wasnt too sure if I would even like the color (It was dark brown- and I always wear black) but I am now hooked. I have FINALLY found a mascara that holds and keeps the curl from my beloved Shiesido lash curler- ALL DAY! This mascara isnt even really marketed as a curling mascara, but it should be! AND I have actually taken a liking to the dark brown color- it is very natural with my brown hair and eyes, and lets me reserve her Black color formula for when I go out in the evening, for a special touch. If you have had a problem with long, but straight lashes which never hold a curl, then give this a try. When you pair it with a quality lash curler, you will never go back!!
