This is the worst Rimmel product I have ever tried. Here are the reasons why: 1) colors/tints/gloss do not stay, they fade within 15 minutes, I still feel the heaviness of something on my lips, but when I look in the mirror, there is zero evidence of any type of color or shine. 2) stick is horrible applicator, it is very flimsy which leads to no control and gloss getting outside of lip line. 3) on both of the glosses I purchased, the colors leak and run all over the place. I have to wrap the gloss in a fresh paper towel each time after I use it so it doesn't get all over my other makeup. This product is total junk. I only use it for work, bc I hardly care what I look like. The only reason I keep using it is bc I don't want to be wasteful. But I will not be repurchasing.
Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Lilash - Purified Eyelash Stimulator

I have used two tubes of this product and will probably continue to do so. When I first purchased, I used as instructed every night. I saw results within 1 month, so I went from nightly application to every other night due to some of the cons. First - the benefits: quick results in length of lashes; easy to apply. The cons: did not impact thickness/density/volume of lashes; serum leaks/drips to other parts of your face and makes some of that baby facial hair darker/more noticeable - so I end up having to tweeze in unconventional places. Some recommendations for product use: apply before bedtime (if I apply in morning then apply makeup, it sometimes gets stringy and mixed up into my eyeshadow); apply to very clean eyes (I have noticed that if my eyes are not squeeky clean, the Lilash will make my eyes itchy).
Loose Powders -E.L.F. - Studio High Definition Powder

I get compliments on looking good every time I use this powder. I use this powder at night only - its my special evening powder - not everyday work wear. I have never used a translucent powder before bc I did not understand the purpose of it. I always thought I needed coverage and pigmented powders. This translucent powder illuminates my face and brightens me up. It def is a matte finish, so I dont get a dewey look with this. I prefer dewey bc it looks less "made up," but I cant seem to pull off a dewey look due to my acne scars. So I will accept with the fact that I have to settle with matte if I want to look decent. But with the help of this powder, atleast I can pull off the bright and light face look. Additionally, it sets my makeup really well - even on hot/muggy evenings, it minimizes making sliding and melting off. I suppose the only area they need to work on is the packaging - packaging needs an upgrade, product gets everywhere.
Styling Products -Jonathan - Product Create Volume Thickening Foam

Unfortunately this product did minimal to no volumizing. I tried the foam on semi damp hair and dry hair. Neither way produced the appropriate results. If anything, it made my hair worst off bc it made it look greasy after a couple of hours of use.
My favorite powder to date. Great color, sets my makeup without doing that weird coagulating mixture with my foundation or oily skin, doesnt settle into my lines to make my look old and dry, ...what more could I ask for! Pretty solid go to powder.
Still trying to finish my expensive bottle of argan oil, even though i dont love it. Its feels ok to apply and wear when I go to bed, and in the morning, my face looks more hydrated than if I were to have worn nothing at all. However, there are much better moisturizers out there. I love the idea of this product being so natural/chemically clean, but I just dont see any real results or improvements.
In my quest for full coverage foundation, I tried the Silk Cream foundation. Big let down. It seems as if these full coverage foundation make me look worse than the light or medium coverage. This made me look super cakey and did nothing to cover my scars. Im better off wearing light - medium coverage, atleast my skin will look smooth. Either way, my scars show.
The first issue is that the color choices for this product is very low. The color they matched me with is too dark. Besides this issue, the product makes me look cakey and accentuates all of my pores. I didnt realize how pore-ish I was until this product. And on top of all of this, I dont feel like the coverage was any better than a $10 bottle of foundation from CVS. If I had to say one good thing about this product, it is that it goes on easily, it is easy to apply. Other than that, it does not offer the coverage I am hoping for to cover my red acne scars. Disappointed!
Treatments -Ole Henriksen - Enlighten Me Pigment Serum
jlonghorn2002 2/10/2012 9:47:00 PM
I am on my second bottle of Ole Henrikson Enlighten Me. I rarely spend this much on one product, much less do it twice. I started noticing two dark spots on the left side of my face a couple of years ago. I came home from vacation and despite wearing a cap and spf 50 religiously, my two dark spots darkened. I also noticed tiny, faint spots on my hands. I was freaked out. I applied one squirt of this serum every night, then applied the leftovers I had on my fingertip to my hands. The faint spots on my hands disappeared. The two spots on my face have faded significantly. As I start my second bottle, I am optimistic that they will fade further. The smell of the serum was great, citrus-y. It is slightly sticky so I made sure I applied it right before falling asleep - with no chances of anything else but sleep occurring next.
