I am so sad about this product. The formula is amazing, but the coverage is TERRIBLE. I bought it for dark circles under my eyes. My dark circles are really not even that bad, I just wanted to kind of even out the color and brighten them a little, but this did nothing. I couldn't even tell the difference. What was weird though is that it actually worked okay on minor blemishes, but not under eye darkness. The formula was a little drying, but it didn't crease which was nice. The color range and pigmentation is great, especially for concealers, but for some reason it just didn't give any coverage whatsoever. Such a sad disappointment!
Eyeliner -Rimmel - Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Nude

I never realized how hard it is to find a nude eyeliner until I wanted to try one it took forever to find any. Luckily, this is the first one I've found and I don't think I'll ever know how I lived without this! I didn't think it would have as big of an impact as it did in terms of brightening my eyes when I put it on my lower waterline. The formula smooth and incredibly pigmented. I tested the pigmentation and feel of the pencil to my Make Up Forever Aqua Eyes eyeliner pencils and I actually like this Rimmel pencil better! I also tested it against my MAC Pearlglide pencils and this formula is just as pigmented but much easier to work with and way less messy. I've heard the formula is almost identical to Urban Decay's 24-7 Glide-On pencils, but I don't have any of those. I will never spend $16-18+ on eyeliner again when this is $4.49 and just as good if not better. It's definitely a HG product for me now!
Revlon Colorburst is by far my favorite formula when it comes to lip gloss. I never wore lip gloss before I found this formula because I didn't like the heavy/sticky/greasy/tacky feeling. This formula is really outstanding though. Fire is smooth without being slippery and very hydrating. I like that it's thick without feeling too thick. I get really good wear time out of it. With Fire, I really found that the color is buildable and easy to even out. I haven't noticed any fanning problems. Fire appears to be more blue based, which works very well with my yellow undertones and doesn't make my teeth look yellow. The color is definitely wearable for daytime. Even my dad loved the way it looked on me! Overall, I couldn't be happier with this!
I'm really sensitive to the smell and feel of sunscreen, so using this all over my face did not work out well at all. The worst was when it would somehow get in my mouth and the taste of sunscreen would linger for hours. I find that I tolerate Kiehl's Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50+ very well on my face, so now for my face I use a moisturizer without sunscreen on top of the Kiehl's. BUT, I still like this Olay moisturizer because I can use it on my neck and chest. I find it works really well for those areas. That way, I don't use as much of the crazy expensive Kiehl's lotion or my moisturizer but my neck and chest are still taken care of.
I've tried SO many foundations. High end, drugstore and everything in between. I have pretty good skin, but I do have issues with redness. This has become my HG foundation. It doesn't look cakey at all, and my giant pores disappear, especially when I press in a setting powder with a puff. In terms of color, I really feel like I got a great match with 3.0. UD also seemed to really listen to what people actually want when it comes to packaging. The product is a very thin liquid and I've found a little goes a long way, so you have to be careful how much you press on the pump. The best thing about this foundation, by far, is the feel of it. It really is very light feeling and comfortable. You're not going to get heavy, or even solid medium coverage, but for anyone who doesn't need to do much more than even out redness, I would DEFINITELY recommend this. I haven't experienced any breakouts with it and it looks and feels more natural than any foundation I've ever tried. It's what all makeup should feel like!
Depending on what your needs are, this is actually a pretty good foundation. It blends well and has good coverage. My problem with it is that it's probably a little heavier than I really need and even when I pressed in my setting powder with a puff, it still looked very cakey for some reason. It's still my backup foundation, but I find that I don't have the cakeyness problem with UD's Naked Skin weightless ultra definition. The packaging with this NYX foundation is really good. The pump is cleaner and a little bit goes a long way. The size is great for traveling. I don't really notice a problem with oxidizing that I guess some people have, but I also use a setting powder and setting spray, so if you're having a problem with that maybe using those things will help. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this to people like me who don't need anything more than light coverage to even out redness. But, for people who want a solid medium coverage foundation and don't mind working out the cakeyness issues, I'd definitely recommend trying this out.
I don't know what kind of crazy black magic they put into this stuff but it is amazing. I've only been using it for about a week and all the redness on my cheeks is GONE. My skin is soft without feeling greasy under my moisturizer. I don't even know if I'll need moisturizer in the Summer anymore. I've been using a hot washcloth to get my face wet, rubbing a good amount of this onto my skin, using my Clarisonic over it, and then wiping it off with a hot wet washcloth. Massaging it in with my fingers and wiping it off works very well too on nights I don't use my Clarisonic. My skin looks completely different. I didn't even wear foundation today because my skin just looked so good without it. I've always spent so much money on skincare products and I can't believe this was sitting right in front of me all along for such a good price! I'm sure it won't be great for everyone, but I would definitely suggest everyone try it! Edit: Just finished my first tub, working on my second now. This is the first product I've EVER tried that I love just as much now as I did the first time I tried it. I haven't had any breakouts since I started using this and I love going to bed with soft, clean skin. I love that I can rub this around by eyes and it gets all my eye makeup off without irritating or burning my eyes like regular makeup remover tends to. I ran out of eye makeup removed a couple months ago and haven't bought more yet because this stuff works so much better. I LOVE that this product works so well for multiple purposes!
Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream

I have such mixed feelings about this. I don't like the way it feels on my skin, so the giant tub is way too much for me. Having said that, this is my HG lip conditioner. I've tried so many things to smooth out my lips. I don't have a problem with them being dry or flakey or anything, I just have never had great smooth lips and nothing has worked. Not vasaline, not chapstick, nothing. I put this on at night once though and the next morning I literally had perfect lips. They were so smooth I couldn't believe it. I like the way it feels light and not super greasy. It absorbs really well but doesn't dry my lips out. All my lip products actually look good now and apply so much easier. It's definitely worth trying.
Treatments (Eye) -Bobbi Brown - EXTRA Eye Repair Cream

I just turned 24 and I have pretty good skin, but I live in the Northwest so the climate here really dries out my skin and I have to really moisturize. I really like this eye cream because it moisturizes very well, lasts a long time, and looks great under makeup. Reading through the reviews, I can't believe how many people either don't read instructions or just don't know how to properly use eye creams. If you find this cream to be too thick or you think you're pulling on your eye too much, then YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. What you need to do is take a little bit onto your ring finger and TAP it in between your other ring finger to warm it up so it becomes thinner and hence more spreadable. Then, you TAP it onto the area around your eye. You don't tap it right into your lid or right under your eye. The cream travels up to an inch and if you tap it right under/above your eye, the cream will spread into your eye and irritate it, making it puffy and watery. SO, you need to tap it about 3/4 of an inch under your eye and like a quarter of an inch under your brow bone and around your eye. Don't rub it in, just keep tapping until it's absorbed enough so that you don't see any white. I think if people apply this product correctly, they'll see the benefits of it rather than the negative problems of incorrect application.
Scrubs -Vasanti - BrightenUp! - Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator
jjay7381 11/25/2012 3:12:00 PM
I've been using this for a few months now and it is definitely the BEST exfoliating cleanser I have EVER used. I use it on the days I don't use my Clarisonic and it leaves my skin so polished and clean. I live in the pacific northwest and the colder climate here really dries out my skin so a good exfoliating cleanser is essential. I can't honestly say whether it brightens my skin or not because of the other products I use that claim to do the same thing, but I'm on my second bottle and this is definitely my HG exfoliating cleanser now. Having said that, I'm really upset about the packaging because the bottle comes and it's only about 2/3 full, and it's not that big of a bottle for the price. If getting stiffed on the amount of product you get for the price is something that really bothers you, you're really going to be upset about this one. Be warned now!
Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
jjay7381 11/17/2012 6:38:00 PM
I am so bummed about this product because it looks absolutely amazing, but the ingredients are TERRIBLE. There are 5 different parabens in it, and I just don't feel comfortable having that on my skin. Having said that, if parabens do not concern you, this is DEFINITELY the product for you! I find that it looks best if you press it on with a thick velour puff. The product is very buildable and leaves your skin very soft and smooth. Pressing it in leaves my giant pores hardly noticeable. It does a great job of keeping my face from getting oily or shiny. Like I said, I am so sad about all the parabens. Otherwise this would be a HG product that I would repurchase again.
Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
jjay7381 11/12/2012 3:13:00 PM
The formula is great, it glides on really well and has good staying power. Very smooth. The only thing I noticed about this eyeliner is that it isn't as black as I would like it to be. It's not as dark black as other gel liners I've tried.
Moisturizers -Algenist - Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer
jjay7381 11/4/2012 1:20:00 AM
I've been using this for a couple months and I've noticed a huge difference in my skin. I'm only 23 and I have pretty good skin, so I wasn't expecting much beyond a decent moisturizer, but I am completely blown away by how much better my skin looks overall by using this just once a day. It absorbs really well and doesn't feel greasy (and I'm really sensitive about greasy products). My skin looks smoother, my pores look smaller and I have this awesome glow that I've never seen in my skin before. My only advice would be to make sure you wash your face before using this, otherwise it WILL feel greasy. But, if you apply it to a clean face, it feels light and soft.
Moisturizers -Algenist - Overnight Restorative Cream
jjay7381 11/4/2012 1:15:00 AM
I'm sure this will work wonders for other people, but this is just too heavy and greasy for me personally. Algenist's Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer is by far the most amazing skincare product I've tried, so I thought I'd branch out and try another of their products. Unfortunately, this one just didn't do it for me. I'm taking it back tomorrow and exchanging it for another jar of the Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer.
This is part of the Glamour Daze Holiday 2012 collection. It's $22, but it's one of those super rare products I would be willing to pay a lot more for. The color payoff is amazing, so be careful how much you pile onto your brush right away. A little bit goes a long way on my NC25 skin. I've been looking for a blush that could double as a contouring color and I really feel like this does that PERFECTLY. I put it in the same place I would normally put my contouring color with a 168 brush. The brown in it makes my cheek bones pop while giving a really beautiful subtle rose tint to my cheeks. I swear it looks good! The color is VERY buildable and blends very easily. It finishes flawlessly and doesn't come off powdery. I've been getting about 6 hours of wear out of it, but I also use very little at a time. It is incredibly wearable and works for both day and night, depending on how much you build up the color. It has a satin finish but really seems more matte. This is the first product that I actually intend on buying a backup for. I usually don't touch MAC's holiday lines, but this will definitely go down as one of my best makeup purchases EVER!
