Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Fair Trade Foot Lotion
jetera21 5/10/2013 11:42:00 AM
This is a gift from heaven! I now work in a warehouse, where I'm constantly walking between 8 to 10 hours a day. After about six months, it started taking a painful toll on my feet. It was to the point where after taking off my shoes after work, it was extremely hard to walk, period! Certain parts of my feet were becoming numb and I even had a toe that started tingling. That really scared me to the point where I had to call my podiatrist. I couldn't get an appointment that worked with my schedule, so I continued to be in pain. One day shopping, I went to the Lush counter just to browse, when the SA asked if I needed anything in particular. I told her about my feet without thinking (because my feet were sore then) and she introduces me to Fair Trade Foot Lotion. This stuff is amazing!!!! I've been using it for three weeks now and my feet have completely healed. The numb parts are coming back to life and the pain is gone! Point. Blank. Period! I don't know how Lush did it, but this stuff saved my feet. Yes it's a bit pricey for foot lotion, but you get a good amount of product, that's going to last for a long time, seeing you don't need much. I'm actually considering giving this stuff out as Christmas gifts to some of my friends at work. If you're having foot pain, invest in Fair Trade, because your feet are precious and have to be cared for.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Prime Pot
jetera21 9/1/2012 10:38:00 PM
I purchased the Caramel shade as soon as it came out last year. The color is beautiful and is a great match for my skintone, but it dried out after the first use. Now if I try to apply it, it drags on my eyelid, which does not feel great. I'm pissed because I have MAC paint pots that I purchased in 2008 and they are still holding strong with no resistance. This is a total waste of money ($20). I saw that Hautelook had it on sale last week for $9, I almost bought but then I came to my senses.

Shampoo -Jonathan - Antiaging restorative shampoo
jetera21 9/1/2012 10:27:00 PM
This is the ONLY shampoo that keeps my hair from knotting. Lately every time I shampoo my hair, it has been a nightmare to detangle. I have chemically relaxed hair and it is extremely fragile when wet. I've used other sulfate free shampoos and for some reason the Antiaging Restorative shampoo is the only one that doesn't dry out my hair. My comb glides through my wet hair without knots or snags. It actually feels like it's putting moisture back into my hair. This shampoo is amazing and was only $5.99 at Marshall's.

Polishes -Essie - Meet Me At Sunset
jetera21 7/23/2012 8:28:00 AM
I bought this on clearance at Walgreens for $4, which I thought was a steal. Well I see why it was on clearance. As much as I love the color, the formula is too sheer. I had to paint three coats for a decent color pay-off and it still isn't the coverage I wanted. The color itself is a perfect for the summertime, but that's the only positive thing about this polish. I just finished a pedicure on myself and I'm not liking the results, it actually looks like I will need a fourth coat. No bueno!

Eyeliner -Essence - Gel Eyeliner
jetera21 11/14/2011 1:29:00 AM
I love this eyeliner! I purchased this at Ulta after reading a review on Makeup and Beauty Blog. It's really inexpensive and very comparable to MAC's Fulidline, which I have also. I purchased Midnight in Paris and it's very black and the application is smooth. I recommend this eyeliner, it's a really good buy.

Bronzers -Cover Girl - Queen Collection - Ebony Bronze
jetera21 11/7/2011 1:49:00 PM
I love this bronzer, but as a contour powder. I purchased this after watching lipSH0CK on youtube contour with it.. She is amazing btw. Anyway I had never contoured before and now I see it was the missing piece of my overall look. Ebony bronze is the perfect contour color for my skin tone (NC 45 for reference) plus you can't beat the price.

Concealers -Amazing Cosmetics - Amazing Concealer
jetera21 2/4/2011 10:50:00 PM
I've been wanting to try this concealer, but the price is too steep for me. I had been getting samples from Sephora, but Ulta finally had a BOGO free sale on the travel size and I quickly jumped on it. I LOVE, LOVE this concealer. I've tried several MAC and Stila concealers, but neither would completely cover my undereye circles or post acne scars. Amazing Cosmetics concealer is truly AMAZING!!!! It covers everything and blends flawlessly!!! For reference I'm an NC45/NC50 in MAC, I use the Deep Golden shade from Amazing Cosmetics.

Treatments -Aphogee - Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer
jetera21 12/4/2010 4:20:00 AM
I've been trying to find a good liquid leave-in conditioner and this it it! I've gone from cheap ( Infusium 23) and hated it, to expensive ( CHI Keratin Mist) and the Aphogee is by far the best. I have really seen a difference in the strength and condition in my hair. There's alot less breakage, so now I'm retaining length. I recommend this product to anyone regardless of hair type. My hair is longer and stronger!

Primer/ Corrector -Make Up For Ever - HD Microperfecting Primer
jetera21 11/19/2010 5:21:00 AM
This is a review for the Microperfecting Primer in #4-Caramel. I received a generous sample from Sephora and I really love it. I tend to look ashy in photos when I wear foundation, but when I paired the primer with the Mat Velvet Foundation, it was perfect. After looking at a few photos from Halloween weekend, I can honestly say my skin looked flawless with no white cast. I also didn't have any problems with my t-zone, which gets oily after a few hours without the primer. I'm going to have to go back and purchase this primer or get more samples! I truly love it!

Misc Beauty Tools -Gillette - venus embrace
jetera21 8/6/2010 10:07:00 AM
I didn't like this razor, I think 5 blades were too much for my skin. Everytime I shaved my legs or underarms with it, there was always a slight afterburn and irritation. Yes that was with a shaving gel sitting on my legs for a few minutes prior to shaving. I would never buy the cartridges again. I prefer the Venus Spa Breeze.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lustreglass - Venetian
jetera21 7/31/2010 5:13:00 AM
I bought this lipgloss after reading that it's the color Zoe Saldana uses. We're about the same skin tone as far as I can tell and I always love her makeup. So I really like the color, but the gloss is sticky. The color doesn't lasts long so I have to keep re-applying it. But it's the perfect color if you're hesitate about trying red lipstick. I will wear it when I'm tired of either a pink or nude lip.

Eye Primer -NYX - Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone
jetera21 7/31/2010 4:58:00 AM
I used this primer for the first time tonight. I absolutely did NOT like it. I normally use UDPP or Too Faced Shadow Insurance, but wanted to try something different and less expensive. At first it did intensify my eyeshadow, but after two hours alot of the color was gone. BTW I do not have oily eyelids and have never experienced creasing or fading before trying the NYX. I will try it again in the wintertime. I live in Houston and it's insanely humid right now.

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup
jetera21 7/19/2010 4:16:00 AM
I hated this product. I bought the Caramel shade which is the color I am for Colorstay. Totally different color! I looked very ashy and it gave zero coverage. I've heard other women of color say that they mix two colors or formulas to get the right match. If you have to do that, then you might as well spend the money to buy one foundation that matches your skintone. I'm just going to stick with my MUFE Face & Body foundation.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner
jetera21 7/19/2010 4:08:00 AM
I purchased this after watching a review from DulceCandy87 on youtube. I love the smoothness, the intense color, & especially the price ( $6.50 @ Wal-Mart). I've heard that it's comparable to MAC's Smolder, but I've never tried it. I do have Blacktrack Fluidline & Feline eyeliner and I find myself reaching for the Loreal pencil more.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - BEYONCE HEAT

I absolutely LOVE this fragrance!!! Some people complain of it's sweetness, but to each is own. I think it's a sexy scent and I can wear it everyday and night. I always get compliments when I wear this perfume.
