Powder -Prestige - MultiFinish Wet Dry Powder Foundation

I like this product while I used it, but now that I have ran out I will not be repurchasing it. I found it at Ulta and I believe some rite-aid stores carry this line as well. The pros are that it is a decent price and it lasts a very long time and it sets in vary nicely so you don't get that powdery look, yet it is not cakey. It is very average at controlling oil. A major con is the shade selection. I believe Ulta had 4 I'm not sure if there are more than that. I got it in wheat, which looked like the only one with a warm/yellow undertone and I've used this both when I've been NC20 and NC25 and it blended nicely. However, I could never use it wet because when I did the color looked waaaay too light/ghostly IME. Also, the lid on my compact broke when I didn't even have it for very long and it's not a deal breaker for me,but it is annoying.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single in Brulee
rated 3 of 5
jessadores 10/6/2012 7:49:00 PM

I really enjoy this shadow it is so versatile and it really is a staple for me. This is so affordable and works just the same as more expensive shadows. There is not much I can say that has not already been said. The problem however, is that because it is so soft, it always crumbles, even if I dont drop it. I've noticed wet n wild powder products IME are very likely to crumble once you expose the pan even a bit. So, IMO its not worth it to me because of the hassle and even if it's so cheap I replace it more often than it should be.

Treatments -Clearasil - Ultra Rapid Action Pads
rated 3 of 5
jessadores 10/6/2012 7:40:00 PM

These really help to dry up breakouts when added to whatever your normal routine is. These ones I believe are $7-8 and are better than the daily cleansing pads they have which are cheaper. The problem is that they are so strong the fumes sting your eyes, they may slightly bleach your eyebrows (when I occasionally touched my eyebrows with them they had a slight orange tint) and if you have sensitive skin I don't know if I would recommend them because they might make your skin more likely to scar. So although they do a good job and I notice their effects, I'm taking off a few lippies for all the cons, but I would repurchase them in a pinch because my skin is not very sensitive and its hard to know what will work and what wont at the drugstore, unless you have tried it.

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-liner Gel in Waveline
rated 3 of 5
jessadores 10/6/2012 2:58:00 AM

This is a very pretty dark blue color that I don't reach for very often, only because I usually stick to black, however you might have to go over the line twice to make it opaque. Its very creamy and I have had mine for over a year (is that bad?). I wish blacktrack was like the two colored fluidlines I have tried, because this one has stayed consistently creamy where as blacktrack gets drier and drier. It is not horrible, but if someone was looking to buy a fluidline I would recommend dip-down

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish Heather Silk
rated 5 of 5
jessadores 10/6/2012 2:36:00 AM

I don't know why I haven't written a review on this yet. All I can say is if you have not tried it you should. Its only $3 and even has better pigmentation than some of my more expensive blushes and it is very pretty. It looks like a dusty rose/ berry color to me. It is a matte blush and a light hand is needed for this. It is especially perfect for fall and winter. The only thing I don't like, which is true IME about wet n wild in general, once you get closer to the pan or even if you drop it once the products crumble. However, I am far from hitting pan on this and if it ever does crumble I would replace it without hesitation.

Gels/Soaps -St. Ives - Oatmeal and Shea Butter Body Wash
rated 5 of 5
jessadores 10/6/2012 2:24:00 AM

I really enjoy St.Ives body washes they are not too expensive and they don't have parabens, I always repurchase them. I usually go for this one in the cooler months and the citrus one in the warmer months but it doesn't really matter they are both great. The only one I don't like is the sea salt one, the sea salt gets everywhere and dries up in clumps and it clogs the bottle and I don't recommend it.

Eyeliner -Clinique - Brush-on cream liner in TRUE BLACK
rated 3 of 5
jessadores 10/6/2012 2:14:00 AM

I was really hoping that this would end my search for the perfect gel eyeliner but I was wrong. It wasn't horrible, but I will not be repurchasing. I liked that it lasted all day, it even hung on through a nap. It also didn't transfer on my eyelids or under-eyes. It is very creamy and did not seem to dry up in the pot (the reason why I don't stick to mac's blacktrack, it gets drier and drier in the pot and eventually tugs when I apply it). I did not like that because it was so creamy it would kind of streak when I applied it, so I would have to put on one "coat" then another to fill in the streaks. The main reason why I don't like it is because it looks more like a muted or washed out black and I like my eyeliner to be really black. As for the brush, its okay in a pinch. I used it just to try it out and it worked, but it made a thicker line and I prefer my own brushes.

Blush -NARS - Sin
rated 5 of 5
jessadores 10/6/2012 2:00:00 AM

This blush is so pretty and unique there isn't much to say about it that hasn't been said already. To me it looks like a light plum-beige color. It does have shimmer in it, but once it is on I don't notice it very much. It is very pigmented so I use a stippling brush with it and it gives me the perfect application that I can easily build up. I am a NC25 going into NC20 and I can see this being my everyday color all year around, especially for fall. I will try hard not to neglect my other blushes now that I have this one. NARS blushes are little on the pricier side IMO, but this blush stands out and I had nothing like it in my stash and I have not seen anything from another brand that I could say is similar, so I feel it is worth the price tag.

Eye Shadow -Sonia Kashuk - Instructional Eye on Neutral Palette
rated 5 of 5
jessadores 9/22/2012 5:50:00 AM

This palette is sooo awesome. Yes some of the colors can be a little powdery and the lighter ones especially, but they are pigmented and last (I've always used them with primer). I've been wanting an all matte palette for quite some time. For awhile I was considering either too faced's or thebalms and decided on this when I saw it at target. I'm glad I got this one because the neutrals are soo versatile and it has shades from light to dark. I know preferences vary, but it is definitely worth checking out IMO. It comes with instructions, but unless you are brand new to makeup they are a waste. With this and the naked2 I won't be needing another neutral for along time (but that probably won't stop me from buying some). They packaging is decent except for one of the pans was loose but crazy glue fixed that and the other palettes on the shelf were really busted and messed with and its never fun having to deal with that (mostly a drugstore makeup problem). If I ever run out of at least half of the shades I would buy again, but I don't see that happening soon (I have a small stash for mua standards, but I have way too many eyeshadows to be able to finish any...makeup problems)

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Gentle
rated 5 of 5
jessadores 9/22/2012 5:13:00 AM

This blush is so so so pretty. I'm not usually drawn to shimmery blushes, but the mineralized blushes have drawn me in despite the slight sheen they give. Now whenever I go to the mac counter its hard for me to look at the regular blushes, don't get me wrong there are still some I want to try and I love the ones I have, but I am in love with the mineralized ones I have tried, especially this one. Anyways, I have a a lot of peachy shades and I still enjoy them, but this raspberry color is so beautiful. I purchased it this past summer and it looked beautiful then and I feel like its a color that will look good all year. Another plus is the pigmentation, I am on the light medium side (NC 20-25), so I use my stippling brush for the perfect application.

Mascara -Rimmel - Sexy Curves
rated 3 of 5
jessadores 9/22/2012 5:00:00 AM

I bought this mascara for mainly 2 reasons, the first was because it was on clearance at CVS and the second reason is because Rimmel's lash accelerator mascara is my all time favorite (thus far). Well it turned out to be very average, I didn't hate it, but was glad I only paid a few bucks for it. It didn't really clump on me which was a plus, but it also did not add much and the wand does poke a little. I will definitely not re-purchase.

Tinted Moisturizer -MAC - Studio Moisture Tint SPF15
rated 3 of 5
jessadores 7/21/2012 2:35:00 AM

For a tinted moisturizer this has decent coverage, its not a foundation so more than that cannot be expected. So when I need something for no fuss for errands or a short time, this is it. It evens out my skin nicely and even though I have combo skin does not get oily very quickly without powder. I will however not be buying this again. I realized that tinted moisturizers are just not for me, but that is at no fault of this product. The reason I only gave it 3 lippies is because for 30 dollars this is just too average. Mac has a few foundations that are cheaper than this and are more worth the price. Not to mention other products and even other mid-range brands that are more worth spending 30 bucks. If I do decide to buy another t.m it will probably be from the drugstore and will probably be just as good. It also has a slight scent that I can still smell even after a few hours in. It is nothing offensive and I don't mind, but I know that some people out there are more sensitive to scents.

Concealers -Smashbox - Photo Op Under Eye Brightener
rated 2 of 5
jessadores 7/8/2012 5:45:00 PM

Its an ok brightener/highlighter it is very subtle, but it works just the same as ones from physicians formula or e.l.f, so for the price it is not worth it and I would definitely not buy it again.

Bronzers -Too Faced - Chocolate Soleil
rated 5 of 5
jessadores 7/8/2012 5:35:00 PM

Love love love! I was new to bronzer when I had bought this, the only ones I had tried were BM warmth because it came in a kit and a few drugstore ones that all were shimmery or pulled orange. Before I bought this I was debating between this and benefits hoola bronzer. I have never actually tried hoola and the reviews here and on yt were very close and I believe they are the same price. However, a few reviews on hoola said it could look muddy, but again I never tried it. The cute practical packaging was also a factor in my decision. I'm around NC25 right now and use it with a fluffy brush so it does not look too dark or harsh. My face is lighter than the rest of my body and this helps to even my color. I had purchased this before I had knew about the milk chocolate which I hear is better for lighter skin tones, because this one is so dark, but I'm glad I bought it. In the winter I can use less or lighten it up by blending it out after. I also hear that there are some new cheaper matte bronzers out there now like nyx and revlon, but I don't need more than one, I know this one will last forever, plus I love it. ***Update*** I wrote my original review in July and it is now December (almost Jan.) and I still love this even in winter. I have to say I do not wear makeup everyday, but everytime I do wear makeup this bronzer is a must have! It is especially essential becasue my face has become even more pale than the rest of me. I also wanted to add that it is still going strong and I have not hit pan, if I ever run out (I'm sure I will), I would re-buy over and over! I just love the ways this pulls together my look it gives me a sunkissed color, but nothing too outrageous for winter.

Shampoo -Dove - Refresh+Care - Invigorating Dry Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
jessadores 7/8/2012 5:15:00 PM

I had used the suave dry shampoo for a really long time and liked, but I like this one better! This one is a few dollars more, but I don't mind because it is totally worth it. It really soaks up oil for my hair and really refreshes it. Unlike other dry shampoos it does not leave any residue or white cast, you can't even tell I used anything. A few times I even forgot to brush/work it in and it soaked in on its own and was not noticeable. This lasted me just as long any other dry shampoo I have used, at the least 12 uses (I marked it each time I used it to be sure and have 11 tallies and still more in the bottle) and I use a generous amount and I maybe use it 1-2x a week (depending on how lazy/busy I am). There is one huge downfall for me and it is the smell. It does smell really fresh and fades away a bit throughout the day, but the smell reminds me of bathroom air freshener that my grandma used to buy all the time (country woods maybe), but that is just my experience. Also, I have noticed it is not as easy to find at target where I usually buy it so I'll have to keep an eye out. When I re-purchase I will update if my bottle does not last as long as this one, which I know is a problem for some people.
