Concealers -Laura Geller - Real Deal Full Coverage Cream Concealer
jess54 12/2/2012 11:32:00 AM
This is my first Laura Geller purchase and I'm pleased with the Real Deal Concealer. Even though I am a budget buyer, I am willing to shell out a bit more for a good concealer or foundation. A little bit of this seriously goes a long way. All you need is a tiny dab. This concealer blends well and covers well. I have found that it applies best with using my fingers. The amount you get for the price is really good in my opinion. It may not look like a lot at first but once you realize how little you use it's totally worth it. The packaging is great too! The squeeze bottle with a flip cap ensures you'll get all the product out. My only concern is that it is super creamy so it does tend to sink into creases. Just make sure to blend well and set with powder.

Polishes -Sinful - Island Coral
jess54 8/22/2012 11:14:00 AM
HG coral nail polish. This is the perfect coral - the right amount of pink. Two coats to opaque. And price is great at $1.99 (or .99 when on sale at Walgreens). I can ususally wear this a few days before I get any chips (which is normal for me with any decent polish).

Misc Beauty Tools -Palladio - Rice Powder Blotting Papers
jess54 8/22/2012 11:04:00 AM
At first I thought I was going to love these because they are a lot thicker than your average flimsy rice papers. But then I realized that the powder comes off as orange when my skin is really oily. Also the powder flakes off everywhere and makes a mess. I got the "natural" powder color but maybe the translucent is different. I would even be willing to try these out again with translucent powder just because they are cheaper than Clean & Clear (I go through over 1 pack a month) and the rice paper seems to hold up well. I'm just not a fan of the powder part. I would say the paper itself is comparable to the Starbucks napkins (but more convenient and sanitary). Giving this 3 stars because I would give them another chance in translucent.

Lotions/ Creams -Badger - Cuticle Care
jess54 8/8/2012 3:39:00 PM
My new favorite for cuticles. I got this last weekend and I've been using it multiple times a day. I like it even better than Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Cream! The consistency of this is more oily than balmy but it soaks in pretty quick. My favorite part is the smell - lemon grass. Bought for $5.99 at Whole Foods.

Misc Beauty Tools -Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets
jess54 7/17/2012 2:46:00 PM
I don't know what I would do without these! I have the oiliest skin of anyone I have ever seen - I sometimes use two sheets at a time to get all the oil. I go through at least a pack a month but it's totally worth it because they're the only thing that soaks up the oil properly. If I use an oil sheet then powder my T-zone I'm good for a few hours. I can barely remember a time when I didn't use these and I would totally be lost if they ever stopped being made.

Shave Products -Aveeno - Positively Smooth Shave Gel

This stuff smells like Play-Doh and shoots out of the can like Silly String. Did nothing more for me than regular shave gel.

Shampoo -Suave - Professionals Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo
jess54 3/28/2012 2:11:00 PM
HG dry shampoo! Love this stuff. I would compare it to Batiste dry shampoo - just cheaper and therefore my favorite. The smell is strong (not as strong as Dove) but doesn't bother me. It makes my hair oil-free without the stiffness or dryness of other brands I have tried. And a total steal for under $3. I may be buying all of them I can find.

Shampoo -Dove - Refresh+Care - Invigorating Dry Shampoo
jess54 3/14/2012 9:55:00 AM
I feel a little indifferent about this product. It works ok - not great. The smell is wonderful and fresh but performance-wise I've used better (Batiste). I'll use the rest of my can but will try another dry shampoo once it's gone.

Shampoo -TRESemme - Fresh Start Dry Shampoo
jess54 3/14/2012 9:50:00 AM
This is the worst dry shampoo I have used. The smell is absolutely awful and it really didn't do much for my hair. I would use this then still need to use baby powder because the oiliness of my hair didn't go away. I'm about done with Tresemme completely - it seems like all of their prodcuts I have used lately are just bad.

Polishes -L'Oreal - Pro Manicure Nail Polish How Romantic
jess54 1/25/2012 2:37:00 PM
Awful!! My life's mission is to find the perfect pink-nude that does not streak or pool up on my nails and this is NOT it. I bought this because of the great reviews but I am highly disappointed. This is the same thing as Essie Ballet Slippers in my opinion. Too sheer and very streaky. I don't have 10 hours to paint 20 coats with an hour drying time in between.

Eyeliner -Jordana - Fabu Liner Liquid Eyeliner Pen
jess54 1/11/2012 1:30:00 PM
I love this liner! First off, it's cheap. And it's great for everyday use - not too dark. I can swipe this on a lot quicker than regular liquid liner. Will buy again! EDIT: I am taking off 2 lippies because this has totally dried out on me. I also wasn't getting the color coverage I wanted.

Foundations -Almay - TLC Truly Lasting Color
jess54 7/1/2011 11:31:00 AM
I bought this because I ran out of my Estee Lauder Double Wear camouflage makeup. With the Estee Lauder I am used to everything being covered up and not really even needing concealer. When I put on the TLC I was very disappointed. It doesn't cover anything! I might as well not wear foundation. If you have awesome skin and just want a sheer coverage this would probably be good for you. If you are wanting full coverage this is not it!

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - supermodel
jess54 8/20/2010 6:39:00 PM
Honestly? I LOVE this perfume. It smells different from anything else I have and you can wear a fair amount of it without being overpowering. Supermodel has decent staying power - I do wish it lasted a little longer. I never totally use up bottles of perfume and I never buy the same one more than once because I usually get so sick of it. But this is different - I have used one bottle completely and I'm on my second. Two things I DON'T like: the name & the bottle. It's kind of embarassing to tell people you're wearing "Supermodel". The bottle looks kind of juvenile. But besides that I love this perfume and would definitely repurchase....again!

Fragrances -Versace - BRIGHT CRYSTAL
jess54 8/20/2010 6:33:00 PM
I like this perfume a lot at first but i realized when I smelled it later that it has kind of a "sour" smell to it. It's a little generic and I think this would definitely give me a headache. At the same time, I think it probably just doesn't work with my chemistry and may smell better on someone else.

Fragrances -Chanel - Chance Eau Fraiche
jess54 1/13/2010 10:41:00 PM
First off, I got this as a gift. I wouldnt usually spend that much on perfume for myself...but I may buy more when I run out if this bottle lasts a long time. I LOVE this scent. When I first put it on it kind of reminds me of men's cologne (which I love). The dry down smells beautiful too. It gets floral-y but not too sour-smelling like some florals. Eau Fraiche does not give me a headache like a lot of perfumes do and I don't get fed up with the smell like I usually do with other scents. It also lasts really long on me. I can still smell traces of it by the end of the night when I put it on in the morning. I love the bottle - it's so chic! As a sidenote, I really don't like the original Chanel Chance...too old lady for me. Something about doesn't really strike me as "special". But the Chance Eau Fraiche is definitely a unique, fresh scent that doesn't smell like something you could just buy in the drugstore. So overall...LOVE the perfume...don't love the price but if it lasts long I think it's worth it.
