Lip Gloss -Essence - XXXL shine lip gloss

I think the reviews here differ so much because it totally depends on the color you buy! I just bought the colour Red Blossom and it's so pretty! I've been craving red lips lately but didn't want all the opacity of a lipstick. When I found this gloss at SDM I snatched it up right away and sprinted to the checkout. I was a little worried it wouldn't show up on my lips at all, but that wasn't the case! It's a beautiful, wearable red. Definitely worth the $2.49 I spent on it! On the other end of the spectrum though, the lighter colors won't really show up on your lips at all... My sister owns two, Sparkling Papaya and a fuchsia one (stickers been removed, I don't know the name) and their is no pigment at all! Which is okay if you only want to use it as a sparkly topper over lipsticks, but on it's own? No colour, just shine and sparkle. So all in all, I recommend trying some of the darker shades, but unless you're in the market for another clear lip gloss, don't bother with the lighter shades.

Concealers -Essence - Cover Stick
rated 4 of 5

This is the best concealer I have ever tried... Then again, it's only like the second or third. Despite my lack of experience, this is a great product. It covers everything and the packaging is very convenient for throwing in a makeup bag since its small and not bulky. However, this does have it's flaws. If you put to much on, you really have to blend... And then blend some more or it will look cakey. I bought the color 05 Matt Beige and it's a pretty good match for my medium-yellow toned skin. For the price, it's definitely worth a try. I just wouldn't repurchase since I'd like to try some other concealers out.

Blush -Maybelline - dream boucy blush in peach satin
rated 4 of 5

The texture of this product is SO WEIRD! It's not really bouncy, more like play-doh, but slightly firmer. The colour is a peachy-coral with a satin finish, just like the name suggests. It gives your skin a perfect glowy flush. I like the sheerness of the blush, now I don't have to worry about putting too much on :)

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear - Pacific Blue
rated 4 of 5

This is the only blue creme polish in my large stash... Yes I realize how sad that is, but it means that this polish gets a lot of love from me :P Love the colour, it's bright and saturated without being over the top. My go-to colour when I'm in a bit of a nail polish rut!

Eyeliner -Essence - Eyeliner Pen
rated 2 of 5

I have this in waterproof as well and LOVE that version! However, the non-waterproof isn't nearly as amazing. The eyeliner fades quickly, it's gone by the 3 hour mark. The packaging gets a 4 from me though, I love the convenience and application of the pen. Wouldn't repurchase, I finished it and bought the WP version instead.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Bad to the Bronze / on and on bronze
rated 5 of 5
jenrose98 1/13/2013 1:47:00 PM

I bought this after buying Pomegranate Punk because I loved the formula, but wanted a nice neutral base. Bad to the Bronze is a beautiful cool toned bronze with shimmer. It applies smoothly and lasts all day, whether I use it on its own or as a base. I wear this everyday to school and get compliments on my eyes from my friends. Definitely will repurchase.

Lipstick -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Honey
rated 5 of 5
jenrose98 1/13/2013 1:23:00 PM

I love this product! Perfect MLBB colour, lasts all day and is moisturizing! The colour is a mauvey-pink, but the stain it leaves is more of a bright redish-coral-pink if that makes sense. The packaging is adorable yet functional, my one complaint is that the tip gets flat pretty quickly. I just bought Charm and compared the new to the old, and the point is so much sharper! I took a lippie off packaging for that. If I ever run out I will run to Walmart to repurchase :)

Lipstick -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Charm
rated 4 of 5
jenrose98 1/13/2013 1:15:00 PM

I bought this because it looked like a perfect nude for school, and I wanted something that would last longer than my Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee. It was a bit expensive considering it's from the drugstore, I paid CAD$9 at Walmart. While I love the formula, the colour is a bit pale on my lips and washes me out. To fix that, I apply my Nivea Pink Guava lip balm over it. I love the combination! Perfect pinky-nude without being too pale. I took two lippies off though, since it takes a bit of work to get me to like the shade. Overall, I probably wouldn't repurchase. My search for the perfect nude continues! UPDATE: I've recently been loving this product and using the heck out of it! I seem to have gotten a little paler since my original review, and the color no longer washes me out at all! Perfect for when I want a light, peachy-pink lip!

Blush -Rimmel - Blush in Pink Sorbet 018
rated 4 of 5

Gorgeous colour for everyday use. As others have said, it gives a nice, natural glow without too much shimmer. And it's inexpensive. That's about all there is to say. Just go out and try/swatch it and you will not be dissapointed.

Lotions/ Creams -Korres - Body Butter - Guava
rated 5 of 5
jenrose98 3/29/2012 7:44:00 PM

I recieved this as a gift from a friend. She has amazing judgement! This lotion is thick but quickly absorbs into my skin and leaves a nice scent. I use it only on my hands and I have no idea why! It's great for daily use and leaves my hands so soft. I would buy it again if it was on sale...

Shampoo -ABBA - Nourishing Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
jenrose98 3/29/2012 7:40:00 PM

This is quickly becoming one of my favourite shampoos! I have oily hair and this keeps the oils at bay(until the next day). It's pretty expensive though. I think I bought it in a big, crazy fill a bag for $20 sale. I would buy it again if it wasn't so expensive!

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Creme Brulee
rated 3 of 5
jenrose98 3/29/2012 7:37:00 PM

Meh. Bought it on sale at SDM for $4. I'm in love with the formula, but I barely like the colour on me. It's so pale, it makes me look washed out. Then again, I've never really found my perfect nude- Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Charm is the closest I've ever come. I'll finish this, but won't repurchase.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - 080 Strawberry Shortcake
rated 2 of 5
jenrose98 3/29/2012 7:33:00 PM

I love my other lip butters but this is my least favourite. I swatched it on my hand at SDM and fell in love. But when I used it on my lips it looks awful! I'm too tan to pull this shade off. It is a cool, light pink which is not something I would recommend for us warm toned girls. The formulas great though. Mosturizing and smells a little bit like vanilla mint? It wears off after about 2 hours so you do have to reapply. Maybe in the winter when I'm paler it will look better... UPDATE: I have come to the reality that no matter how pale I get, this is a product that just won't work for me. The super cool, very light pink clashes with my warm skin. Sigh...

Liquid -Maybelline - SuperStay Makeup - New Version
rated 4 of 5
jenrose98 1/6/2012 8:53:00 AM

I bought this in the shade Classic Ivory which is too pale for my skin tone. I have medium to tan Asian skin and this is way to pink and pale. I love the actual foundation though. Great coverage, light feel and long lasting. Not that I have much to compare it to, since it's the only foundation I've ever used. Took a lippie off since I wish the packaging had a pump but all well. If it was between a good foundation vs an ok foundation with a pump I'd definitely go with the first option!

Mascara -Revlon - Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara
rated 3 of 5
jenrose98 1/6/2012 12:38:00 AM

Best mascara I've ever used, without a doubt in my mind! It lengthens and holds a curl wonderfully. I'm cursed with perpetually stick straight Asain lashes, so the fact that it actually keeps my lashes curled is a miracle. It doesn't volumize your lashes that much, but I don't mind since I like a more natural look. As for the claim that it helps your lashes grow, I would say that Im part of the 96% that saw longer lashes. They do seem longer and thicker so that's an added bonus. :) UPDATE: While I still like this mascara, I've now tried others and can say this isn't my favourite. It isn't waterproff, so it can smudge easily if I yawn(I tear up A LOT!) With so many mascaras on the market, I wouldn't repurchase.
