Lotions/ Creams -Trader Joe's - Nourish Shea Butter Hand Cream

I'm surprised there aren't more reviews for this. I love it! So, I have a lot of different lotions, but this one is one of my favorites because it doesn't leave my hands greasy. I use it at work, where i am on the computer a lot, and I don't want my hands to be greasy when I type. This dries very quickly and leaves my hands very soft and with a slight sheen. There is no fragrance, which is also good in an office setting.
I love this soap. I am a lover of good soaps, and I think this one is pretty good. The best thing about it is that it's cheap! Other pros: it smells like oatmeal cookies, it doesn't get slimey/mushy, and it comes with 2 in a package.
BB Cream -Dr. Jart+ - Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45 PA+++

I have dehydrated, combination skin which is pretty sensitive. I use this product as a foundation, only on my cheeks and chin. If I apply it to my forehead, I do tend to get flakies (since my forehead skin is pretty dry). I apply a thick moisturizer before, let that sink in, then apply a Clarin's sunscreen. Finally I apply this product. I would say it provides light-medium coverage, with a satin finish (not matte, not dewy). One tube lasts me about 6 months. Overall, I really like this product! It doesn't make me break out or cause itchy red spots, which is a huge deal for me (and my sensitive skin).
Cleansers -Boots - Expert Sensitive Cleansing & Toning Wipes
jenniro 8/22/2012 1:12:00 PM
I bought these cleansing wipes because I was going to be staying in a cabin in Colorado and was unsure of the water situation. I used them for 5 days and my skin looked so good the entire time! Once I returned home, I decided that I want to continue to use them. My skin is very sensitive and weird, so I am always anxious about trying new things, but these do not cause any breakouts or weird allergy bumps. I do wish they were a little *wetter* but like someone else said, maybe that would affect how they work. You get 30 wipes for about $4.60 plus tax at Target, which is sort of a lot if you use them twice a day (just 15 days worth). But we'll see how my skin continues to look and I will post an update if I decide I don't like them. Also to note, I do use an eye make-up remover prior to using the wipes. I think the wipes would remove it all, but since the wipes aren't very wet, I like to use them for the rest of my face mostly.
Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Rose Lip Treatment SPF 15

This is one of the best lip balms I've used in a while. I love the smell and the color. I have very pale skin, so the color really pops on me. It makes my lips look healthy and juicy, hehe. I do agree that the consistency is a little soft for a tube lip balm, but I am just very careful that I don't twist it up too high before applying.
I really love this shampoo. I have gone through an entire bottle and am saving up to buy another one... yes it expensive. I think the average price for the medium size bottle is $35 dollars. But it is the best shampoo I have ever used for my troubled scalp and I tried many. I have an itchy, flaky scalp that drives me crazy. I don't like to use coal tar shampoos. I don't like to use a lot of the other medicated shampoos because they dry my hair out. This shampoo doesn't dry my hair out and it doesn't smell bad! Both of those things are really rare for a anti-flake shampoo, so this shampoo is a winner! It is not perfect, as I do have a pretty bad scalp and it doesn't clear it up completely but it comes really close and that's better than most shampoos can do.
I really like this lip balm, and I am a hard person to please when it comes to lip balm. :) It is not one of those lip balms you buy that dry out your lips (you know the ones) instead of hydrating them. It smells good and leaves a nice sheen. That being said, it is insanely expensive for the amount that you get. I paid close to 17 dollars for something that I think only lasted 3 weeks. I opened the pot and was like.. that's it??? I will definitely buy this again if I can find a good deal on it. If not, I think Mac lip conditioner is a better choice for me.
I hate to rain on the parade, but I have to be honest of course. I ran out of my favorite moisturizer (Dermalogica's intensive moisture balance) and needed to find a substitute, so I picked this one based on the great reviews. One reason why I love the Dermalogica moisturizer is that it is so deeply hydrating and a little goes a long way. This one... not so much. I felt like I had to really put a LOT on, which makes this moisturizer very expensive if it will only last me a couple of weeks. My skin is sensitive (I get eczema sometimes), very dehydrated, and prone to weird itchy red bumps that aren't really zits. I feel like I got a few more of those bumps while using this moisturizer, which seems to happen if i stray from the Dermalogica (the exception being Atopalm's creme). So I will have to say that I won't be buying this again.
Lotions/ Creams -Aveeno - Active Naturals Intense Relief Repair Cream
jenniro 1/29/2009 2:54:00 PM
I have extremely dry/itchy/bumpy skin on my legs right now. I also tend to get eczema. I bought this the other day and after putting it on, right away my legs felt soothed. It reminds me a little bit of cetaphil cream, but i like it better. There is a very faint smell to it, kind of almond-y, which i really like. I have used it for 3 days now, and my legs are not totally healed (I still have a lot of red itchy bumps on my legs) but I think this cream will really help. I have tried so many other lotions and this one does a great job at moisturizing. Feeling my legs right now, 15 hours after applying, my legs still feel moisturized.
Gross. I bought this today because the color looked nice in the tube (fig) and it seemed like it would be somewhat MLBB. However when I put it on, the color was much more opaque and the texture was thicker than I expected and it just highlighted any sort of dryness that my lips had. I could see cracks and flakes! Not exactly sexy, haha. I would return this if I could. At least I bought it at 50% off, but still ... that was a waste of 4 dollars.
Masks -Pangea Organics - Facial Mask - Japanese Matcha Tea with Acai & Goji Berry
jenniro 1/7/2009 10:48:00 AM
Wow, I love this mask. I used it the other night and the next day my skin really looked great, even after a long day of work. It looks like dirt and poo but I think it smells gooood. Even the box it comes in smells good. Using this mask makes me feel like I am really taking care of my skin. I left it on for about 20 minutes and used a washcloth to wipe it off. My skin looked radiant and fresh!!! LOVE IT.
Scrubs -Ren - Jojoba Microbead Purifying Facial Scrub
jenniro 9/29/2008 10:07:00 AM
This scrub is decent, but I don't think I will buy it again. One little annoyance: I seem to get the little beads stuck in my eyelashes which hasn't happened with any other scrub I've used before. If this scrub were under 10 dollars, I would probably buy it again but it just costs way too much for what it is. It smells good though and I like how it is pretty gentle.
Moisturizers -Kinerase - Ultimate Night Moisturizer
jenniro 5/16/2008 11:09:00 AM
I rated this a 3 because sadly I just dont think its worth the money. I would repurchase it if it was 75% cheaper or if I were rich :) I like it because it doesnt cause any breakouts, it has a nice & thick consistency, and my skin feels pretty hydrated. I cant say that it does anything special, though. I've used it for about 6 weeks now and havent noticed any change in my skin. I'm still searching for my HG moisturizer (dermalogica's intensive moisture balance is pretty close).
Skincare - Face -Jan Marini - Antioxidant daily face protectant SPF 30
jenniro 5/8/2008 11:17:00 AM
I bought this based on the high ratings, but was a little disappointed. i tried it after cleansing and it was just NOT enough moisture for my normal skin. my skin felt tight and makeup didnt go on very well. i had to use a moisturizer underneath. i do love the smell because its not that traditional sunscreen smell. i probably wont buy this again because i have been looking for a more moisturizing sunscreen.
Sunscreen -Dermalogica - AGE Smart Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF 30
jenniro 3/27/2008 10:55:00 AM
I was excited to try this, but now see that I should have viewed it as more of a sunscreen and not so much as a moisturizer. I dont have especially dry skin (more normal), and I found that I had to use a separate moisturizer underneath or else my skin felt tight. This was a big bummer because I wanted to get an all-in-one product instead of having to use two. And this stuff is SO expensive for such a small amount. I like that it didnt leave a white cast on my face, nor did it leave my face greasy. This might be better once summer rolls around, so I'll have to update if my opinion changes. As of now though, I will not repurchase. I can buy Banana Boat Sun Wear Faces which is almost 50 bucks cheaper!
