Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Raspberry Body Butter
jenjenx2 9/10/2012 10:35:00 PM
I got this from one of those sales... $5 for a small tub. I think I may have bought an expired tub because mine honestly smells... Sour. Like it doesn't smell good at all. Sour and plasticy. I love all TBS scents (in love with papaya and lychee for the scent and moisture but mostly coconut and shea butter for moisture after a shower). I need to find time to smell what the raspberry scent is "supposed" to smell like but then as per previous reviews, they don't make this scent as a staple anymore? I use it on my feet at night.. Sour plasticy feet...luckily the scent fades after while
Worked wonderfully when I first got it. Totally mattified my face, but soon my face became used to it and it doesn't wear as long anymore... It transfers more, when it didnt use to transfer at all. I like the packaging, portable. Not afraid it'll break etc. My skin IS worse.. this could be the culprit.. I haven't liked MAC foundations, for that fact alone.. skin breakouts, but decided to go back to it. Also in flash pictures, doesn't make me look like a ghost, like NARS Sheer Glow does.
Good for volume, for length, not so much. Definitely makes my thin lashes pop out though
One of the few non-pink, red shades I have lol. I wear two coats of this... It dried pretty quickly though. I like how this color seems semi "muted" Its not in-your-face blue with sparkles etc. Would repurchase
Got this from ebay. Have got a few tubes with the pump. I use this for travel or when I'm on the go and just want some light coverage. When it oxidizes, the product winds up meshng with my face well. For me, it does get kind of greasy.. but I need/want more coverage than some light wash will do, but I don't overcake my face (is it possible with this product). I would re purchase
Treatments -Clinique - Pore Minimizer Refining Lotion
jenjenx2 7/25/2011 12:14:00 PM
It was pretty cheap, like $25.. Right now I use it at night to try and repair the damage caused by Biore Pore strips, but this lotion doesn't really do much.. I might try and use it as a day lotion because it's not too greasy, and not rely on it to help my pores sigh
Treatments -Clinique - Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector
jenjenx2 7/25/2011 12:13:00 PM
Luckily, this product didn't break me out, but in no way has it helped minimize my dark spots.. I would definitely not repurchase, especially since it's also pricey and doesn't work..
Loose Powders -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Loose Powder
jenjenx2 7/25/2011 12:11:00 PM
I use my nars sheer glow foundation, wait until it sets and blot with a tissue, use my physicians formula transluscent set powder to suck up any more oil, then I use this MUF powder over it.. I find if I use it over my liquid foundation (before or even after I blot), it can get concentrated on certain areas.. I also use it with a flat top kabuki though.. not some fluffy powder brush, so that may be a factor.. I do like that it does give an air brushed look. Would definitely repurchase
I got this blush a long time ago. Honestly, I only use abit to give me some color. It doesn't match my skin tone I don't think.. but if I'm going out for a night out partying or whatnot and need a more oomfy color for pictures, I often go to this one.
I use this to set in my liquid liner as well as fill up some space on my monolids between my lashline and the liquid eyeliner. I used a slanted eyeshadow brush.. it takes some work for it to be black enough. For me i doesn't go on really smooth, and I don't know if it's really that blendable for me either. Might be just how it reacts to my skin.
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Line Stiletto liquid eyeliner
jenjenx2 7/25/2011 11:12:00 AM
This is my go-to liner. I like how it can give thick lines. It's not for thin percise lining though. The formula is ok. I have the blackest one, but it's not shiny glimmery black; it's a matte black. I would definitely repurchase. On my second tube already.
Moisturizers -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar - for all skin types
jenjenx2 7/25/2011 11:11:00 AM
I love this cream. Reason because is because it's not greasy. I use Nars Sheer Glow foundation which is a very moisturizing foundation, and I don't want another greasy layer of moisturizer underneath it. Hope is a very straight to the point moisturizer. I personally don't mind the scent, and I actually think it reminds me of something remotely citrusy. It is pretty pricey. $78 canadian for the larger jar, but for me, a little goes a long way. I just use this for a day cream, as for night, it's too thin. I would repurchase this as it works well with my makeup, and doesnt contribute to any melting off of it haha.
Gels/Soaps -Philosophy - Vanilla Birthday Cake 3-in-1
jenjenx2 7/25/2011 11:05:00 AM
Got this for my birthday gift to.. I tried it as as a shampoo last night. My hair doesn't really feel 'squeaky' clean. The scent doesn't linger, and even in the bottle, the scent isn't really strong.. but then is birthday cake a huge punch of vanilla in real life haha. I probably won't repurchase.. It's not a bad product though.
Polishes -Rimmel - Lasting Finish Nail Polish in Ash Rose
jenjenx2 7/22/2011 2:28:00 PM
I prefer to use this color on my toes. I usually use Rimmel's "Milk Chocolate" on my toes, but if I can't finddd the bottle, I use this one. It's a cheap products and the product is good for what you pay for it. Would repurchase.
I use this color on my toes. I don't really use it on my nails, but all year round.. my toe color lol.
