Eye Shadow -MAC - Scene Eyeshadow

I know you're not supposed to use greys for black eyebrows, but my curiosity got the best of me. I used to use Copperplate to fill in my very sparse black brows, but I found that it pulled way too brown. I am pale and I have jet black hair; having a hint of brown in my eyebrows looked weird and unnatural. I tried Scene to fill in the sparse areas (just the arch and the tail, not the inner corner of my brows otherwise I'd look too scary) and WOW it looked so natural. It actually looked like I had a full set of brows! I haven't used this as an eyeshadow yet but I highly recommend this as an eyebrow filler for Asians with sparse brows. Just make sure you blend well with an angled brush!

This is such a nice warm pink. It's a great colour for spring, and it leaves the prettiest sheen. It gives me a very natural glow on my NC20 skin.

I don't think I have ever received this many compliments in one day before. I wore this at work (retail) and so many customers complimented me on my lips! The colour looked absolutely amazing on my NC20 skin. Some of my coworkers said I reminded them of a geisha. This lip pencil is very creamy, pigmented, and easy to apply. I applied it straight from the stick and then used my lip pencil to smooth the edges. Then I put a bit of lip balm on top and it looked and felt awesome! The only thing that would make this product perfect is if it came in a twist-up form; I really hate sharpening pencils since there can be a lot of waste and mess.

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)

Purity is the only cleanser that I've used that didn't sting my eyes when used close to the eye area. It's gentle, yet it removes all my makeup! It does leave my skin a bit dry, so I took off a lippie for that. But this has become my daily cleanser/makeup remover. I got one of those huge containers so I won't need to repurchase for a while.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #116 Blush Brush

This brush is small enough to be precise, but fluffy enough that it doesn't leave a stripe of colour. It picks up the perfect amount of powder blush, and it blends the colour on beautifully. Very soft bristles. Would repurchase (though I doubt I would ever need to since I take very good care of all my brushes).

I love the brightness of this! I received tons of compliments while wearing it today. My only issue is that if you have any flakes on your lips, they will definitely show. It's as if the flakes absorb more of the pigment or something! Eek! Just make sure your lips are well exfoliated and smooth. After I washed my makeup off, the lipstick left a really nice dark pink tint on my lips; that was unexpected! I kept touching up the lipstick because I kept eating, so I am not sure about the staying power. Would buy again if I can still get my hands on this once I finish up this tube.

Masks -Soap and Glory - The Fab Pore Facial Peel

This product didn't do much for me. I left it on for 15 minutes and then rinsed well with warm water. My pores didn't look any different, and I still had the same blackheads that were there before I applied the peel. If the blackheads did get washed away a bit, it wasn't noticeable. I actually had to wipe my face down with some Clean and Clear blackhead astringent after I rinsed off the mask to clear up stubborn blackheads and dry skin flakes. Then I followed up with S&G Catch a Wrinkle in Time moisturizer. Hopefully tomorrow my skin will look nice. I wouldn't purchase this again, but I might try and use up the rest instead of giving it away. We'll see. The search for a blackhead removing treatment continues.

Lip Treatments -eos - Smooth Sphere Organic Lip Balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew

I got this because of all the hype (and the fact that I loooove honeydew anything). But after trying it on my lips, I was very disappointed. It didn't seem to moisturize my lips at all. What the heck? The container is cute and I don't own any other lip balm with that kind of packaging, so I didn't feel too terrible about this purchase. And it smells great. But that's it. I would not repurchase nor buy any of the other eos sphere lip balms.

BB Cream -Boscia - BB Cream SPF 27 PA++

The colour was too dark and too pink for my skin (I'm around NC20). But other than colour, I found that it really clung on to my dry skin. I exfoliated last night and I still had some flakes but the flakes weren't noticeable until I put on this BB cream. There are bits of sparkle/glitter, which is ok because it's not too glittery but I would have preferred it without any glitter. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with fair or yellow-toned skin, nor to anyone prone to flakes.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Soft Ochre

My eyelids are very, very oily. When I use Soft Ochre, I usually use UDPP underneath, and then powder or eyeshadow on top. Even after those two extra steps, it still creases within an hour. Even within a few minutes you can tell where the fold is in my eyelid because that's where there will be no colour. You know how sometimes if you have a photocopy of something and you fold the paper so much in one crease that the ink wears off in that crease? Yeah, that's how my eyelids look. Except worse because then the pigments bunch up right above/below the fold area where there is no more product left. Bah! I looooove the colour and how pigmented the paint pot is, but the consistency and staying power makes it impossible for me to wear this to any special occasion. If I didn't have such oily lids, I would love this product because it completely covers up the veins and purpleness of my eyelids. Sigh.

The sales associate at Sephora told me this was awesome for removing blackheads. He made it seem like your blackheads would be removed once you rinsed this product off. This didn't happen. It worked better on my chin than on my nose. It didn't seem to get rid of any on my nose. Another problem I have is the pump stopped working. Not really sure what's causing this since I tried rinsing the pump and nothing seems to be stuck/dried in the nozzle. I can't seem to fix it. Anyone else have this problem?

Wow, how did none of these colours match me?? The lightest one was too light, and the next shade up was too pink, then the next few shades up were all too dark. Beside the whole not being able to wear it because it doesn't match (or should I say, "fit") my skin, the formula was light. The staying power wasn't great but I didn't expect much, and the package could use a pump. I would not recommend this to anyone with NC15-20 skin. But then again, I'm freakishly yellow so it is already a challenge to match me. Bah!

I looooooooooove this bright lipstick! I have light skin with yellow undertones, and this coral-pink lipstick makes my lips look amazing. I apply it with a lip brush and if I'm careful while eating, it lasts for around 5 hours. It stains your lips so when it wears off it still looks good, just not as bright as before. I gave the packaging quality a 3 because it looks like the image of the evil queen would rub off the tube if I let it slide around in my lipstick drawer.

This colour looks sooo nice on me. I am wearing this on my toes right now. On a good day I can get away with just two coats, but three would make it completely even. I love it and I get compliments on it all the time :)

I bought the colour EH0141, which is a neon light pink; it's similar to China Glaze's Shocking Pink, but I don't think it's an exact dupe. The bottles are tiny, which make them automatically cute. The brush could be improved because the bristles are quite stiff and they leave streaks. The formula is thin, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing because it also dries very fast. I needed three coats to make it opaque and if I weren't lazy I would have added a fourth coat to make it perfect. It dries to a matte finish, which I'm ok with since I put on top coat anyway.
