Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips in Cherry Me

at first i didn't think this was anything special, but it's really grown on me and now i use it at least once a day. first, it does an excellent job of moisturizing without being waxy, shiny or sticky. second, the pinkish-red color it leaves is subtle and flattering--great on its own or for refreshing/evening out a dark pink or red lipstick. third, it's really cheap and you get a lot of product. highly recommended.
Eye Makeup Remover -Nivea - Daily Essentials Extra Gentle Eye Make-up Remover

this has nice packaging and a pleasant smell, but that's about all it has going for it. after about 5 minutes and 5 cotton pads about 50% of my (non-waterproof) mascara still remains on my lashes with this stuff.
I'm surprised at how bad the reviews are for this eyeliner. I've had mine for two or three months and I haven't had any problems with it drying out or with the packaging. As far as ease of use and staying power, I would compare this to L'oreal's Lineur Intense, which is my other favorite liquid eyeliner. However, I actually find the Eyeko a little easier to use than the L'oreal because you don't have to dip it back into the base between eyes and it can make a more even faint line on the lower lashes. And it really does last all day--I haven't had any problems with smudging or fading.
i LOVE this eyeliner. this is the first taupe/light brown eyeliner i found that doesn't drag and actually leaves a strongly pigmented line. it's a very flattering color and it's perfect for pairing with red lipstick. lasts almost all day and doesn't smudge once it's set.
this is great as a subtle highlighter. i use it under the arch of my brows and slightly above my cheekbones. slightly iridescent, but still natural-looking. i recently got into urban decay shadows and ordered abc gum and blunt, thinking that one of them could replace this shadow. but neither was as good, and i find myself continuing to use this everyday instead.
a beautiful poppy red which is perfect for any season. definitely one of my top 3 favorite polishes.
Cleansers -Ponds - bio-hydratante dual cleansing lotion

i was very excited to find this product (esp. for only $5!), because i LOVED pond's now discontinued bare and repair eye makeup remover and i was hoping this would be a similar product. and this does work very well as an eye makeup remover. but unfortunately it smells HORRIBLE. like a really strong cheap men's cologne. when i was using this i would close my eyes to go to sleep and feel like i was on the night bus. i would suggest giving it a sniff in the store before purchasing.
Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast in Purty Persimmon

i just use a little of this as a stain, and it goes on evenly and looks very matte. it's a really wonderful reddish-orange color that is striking but not TOO crazy. long-lasting and seems to fade evenly. my only issue is with the packaging--the cap came off in my make-up bag and the lipstick (which doesn't retract) got all over everything. but other than that, highly recommended.
Eye Makeup Remover -Lumene - Absolute Away eye makeup remover

this is a first-rate product, and the only acceptable thing i've found to replace the excellent-but-discontinued ponds bare and repair eye makeup remover. this removes everything, waterproof mascara included, with minimal work/cotton. it's oil-based, but doesn't leave your eye area greasy or your vision blurry or anything. plus it's cheap (ish) at $6 and has a nice turquoise bottle. highly recommended!
wow, this stuff is great! although i have no problem waxing my legs or bikini area, i have been scared to try my upper lip again after some bad experiences a few years back. but this was super easy and fast to use, removed almost all the hair, and didn't leave any redness or irritation after the first hour. highly recommended! Update: the oil it came with made me break out. the next couple of times i used almond oil instead and everything was fine.
Styling Products -Wella - Liquid Hair Brilliant Spray Gel

i am on my second bottle of this and i adore it! i have medium-length thick hair that is somewhere between straight and wavy and has a tendency to look poufy and/or frizzy. consequently, it used to spend a lot of time locked in a ponytail. but then i got this stuff, and now i just spray 10 or 12 squirts of this all over when my hair is damp, run my fingers through it and leave the house. it dries slightly wavy, not poufy and with a nice texture. yay!
Treatments (Eye) -Kiss My Face - Eye Witness Eye Cream

i realized how attached i was to this the other day when i went to a store to buy my 2nd tube of it and i actually felt offended when the woman who worked there suggested i try another brand. WHY would i buy something else when this stuff is so good? among its virtues: feels good and smooth going on, very moisturizing and absorbs quickly, great tube packaging (i hate sticking my fingers in tiny jars of eye cream), long-lasting (1-2 applications a day and it lasted 6 months), and has a faint lavender-shea health food store kinda smell that is oddly appealing. i haven't noticed it working magic in the de-puffing department, but it's still top shelf.
the best eye make-up remover i've ever used. takes everything off, not stinging (even with contact lenses in), neutral-to-cute packaging, moisturizing but never greasy. also--i could be imagining this, but i think it's made my lashes thicker, or softer, or more full or something.
Eyeliner -Clinique - Cream Shaper for Eyes-Egyptian
jeannex 10/31/2006 10:14:00 AM
i love this. it is easy to apply and is a really rich color that i think is more flattering on my pale skin than black liner. like other reviewers have said, it's a brownish-black-olive w/ very subtle gold sparkles. (don't see the teal that some have mentioned, though.) it does lose a lippie for staying power, which, while not terrible is also not great--by the end of the day my line is a little smudged and/or missing. for this reason, not recommended for the lower lash line.
if you're going to buy just one lipgloss that you totally can't afford, i recommend this one. i have 15 or 20 glosses, and i figured even while i was buying this that it couldn't be THAT different or much more amazing than all the ones i already have. but i was wrong! BEAUTIFUL color, perfect for cool-toned girls, somehow manages to look both bold and sheer at the same time. lovely tacky texture, applies very evenly, good staying power--and--v. importantly--wears off evenly, too. no worries about walking around with red pigment only on the outside of your lips.
