Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)

I absolutely ADORE this powder! I've tried soo many mattifying powders for my super oily t-zone and nothing has been good enough! I've mostly been looking at high-end brands, since I thought they would have better products - but nothing. Then I decided to try Rimmel, and just.. WOW! It stays put ALL day! I don't have to touch up at all, just slightly blot a little if it's been particularly hot that day. It's amazing and I'm so glad I found such a great product for an even better price! I'm pretty dry in other parts of my face and the powder doesn't look cakey there adn doesn't settle into lines och flakiness. Amazing!
I've tried the colour Aurora, so the review goes for that one. While the colour is bold and very beautiful, I don't like this product. Firstly, the smell. It smells absolutely horrible - a mix of chemicals, glue and something else equally nasty. Secondly - the feathering. It's EVERYWHERE but my lips, where it's supposed to be. I've tried using it with a lip primer underneath, and even a lip pencil, but it still feathers outside my lips and gets on my teeth in two seconds. Lastly - the staying power. Just no. It comes off in less than an hour, which is terrible for a lip product.
I really wanted to like this product, because I fell in love with the consistency when I tried it at the store. It really makes my face feel silky smooth, but sadly, that's all it does. It doesn't make my foundation stay on longer, which is why I really need a primer. And it doesn't help keep shine away form my face - I have a super oily t-zone, but the rest of my face is quite dry. I will give this one more try though, now that my skin isn't as dehydrated and flaky as it was during the winter. Perhaps it'll perform better on healthier skin.
I have this in Nearly Nude, I think, and honestly, it's not very good. It's VERY drying, much more so than other matte products I've tried. I also find it hard to work with. It doesn't go on smoothly and just feels like a weird layer on my lips. And I absolutely hate the smell. Not buying again.
Mascara -Sephora - Outrageous Volume - Dramatic volume mascara

This isn't the best mascara ever, but I think it's pretty good for dramatic looks. It's very heavy, so you actually won't need much. I don't use it for everyday, just for that reason. I'm also not too fond of the packaging - the tube is so BIG and kind of bulky. I prefer thinner tubes that fit into my makeup bag better. Before buying it, I had a sample of it and I like that so much better. But it doesn't smudge when it's dry and doesn't flake during the day, so that's always good.
Lipstick -MAC - Mineralize rich lipstick Lady at Play

This colour is gorgeous. I'm somewhere between NC15-20 and it looks good on me - I get complimented on it a lot. The Mineralize Rich lipsticks are different from MAC's regular formulas, and in my opinion, much better. It's actually pretty hydrating and doesn't settle into lines. The wear time is OK, not the best, but then again, this isn't a stain. The packaging is also different from the regular ones- this comes in a tube with a magnetic seal. I love this and will definitely try more colours!
Lipstick -Sephora - Rouge a Levres Sephora Rouge - R16 Rendez-vous

I've been using this lipstick non-stop for the last couple of days. It's not drying and the colour is pretty. The staying power isn't ideal, but then again, this is a lipstick and not a stain, so I'm happy. I'm happy with the formula - it's pretty creamy and the finish is great too. Overall a very good product, so I'm curious about trying some more colours.
It's nothing amazing, really. I use it as preparation for lipstick and other lipproducts, to get rid of the dead skin on my lips. But honestly, I'm not sure if it does much. I'm sure you could make a much better DIY scrub at home. At least it smells good.
I got a sample of this in my last Glossybox and since then it's become a must in my skincare routine. This is the only lotion that has had such an effect on my skin - it get's super smooth every time I use it. It's a must after I've showered, because water always dries me out, especially in the winter. The only things I dislike is the smell - it can be a little off-putting, but the product itself is amazing. And the packaging - I prefer cremes and lotions in tubes, rather than tubs.
Toners -Clarins - Extra Comfort Toning Lotion for Dry/Sensitive Skin
jealouspony 4/15/2013 8:59:00 AM
I have used this toner twice a day for about two weeks now and so far it's been great for my skin. I have pretty sensitive combination skin and it's pretty dried out after the winter (still super oily T-zone though), so I was looking for something to hydrate my skin again. The toner goes on smooth and doesn't dry out my skin, like a lot of toners do. It's a bit of a gel consistency, which I like. Also, it smells amazingly and just feels fresh on my face. It's nothing extraordinary (no WOW-factor), but it does the job so I'm pretty happy with it.
Moisturizers -Avene - Cleanance Antishine Regulating Lotion
jealouspony 4/15/2013 8:51:00 AM
I love this! It really does regulate the shine. I started noticing a difference in my skin after one week's use already. It leaves a matte finish without feeling dry. Perfect for oily/shiny faces.
This is my all time favourite eye shadow palette. I adore every single colour in it and probably my most used product. The colours are gorgeous and the texture of the shadows is lovely. The only negative thing is the massive glitter fallout. Urban Decay has this problem with all of their shimmery shades, which is too bad, because it's really annoying and lowers my overall impression. Other than, it's money well spent!
I adore this product! I have oily lids, so I have to use a primer underneath, but that's not really an issue for me. The colour is gorgeous to use on it's own as it is or I sometimes use it as a base for other shimmery shadows I'm wearing! Makes the colour really pop and just look better! The texture is super smooth, almost buttery and goes on smoothly. I apply it with a synthetic brush, as natural hairs can get ruined by cream products. Definitely going to re-purchase and also check out the rest of the colours.
This was the first lip primer I ever tried and after that I was under the impression that lip primers were the spawn of Satan, ascended to Earth in the shape of a horrendous product, deceiving me by wearing the face of one of my favourite brands. I didn't even go near lip primers after that. It was so drying on the lips that it made me want to cry. Applying lipstick over it looked horrible. I have, however, since then changed my mind about primers and happily use MAC's on a daily basis.
This mascara is seriously on my top list along with Lancôme Hypnose mascara. They basically perform the same way, but this is way cheaper - amazing! I have it in Carbon Black and the colour payoff is great. With just two thourough swipes, I get lots of volume. I have pretty long lashes naturally, so that's really all I need. Definitely going to re-purchase this when my current one is dried out!
