Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear

I've tried this foundation numerous times and I always feel the same each time - yuck!! Upon initial application - the color looks great - skin looks flawless. (Make sure that you moisturize on dry spots because it will accentuate them as this is a heavy foundation.) Mid way thru the day - I can feel it sliding off of my face. By the end of the day - it just looks like a greasy, thick mess. I am NC20 and used Linen in the old shade and Sand in the new shade. By the way - EL redid the colors - but still no pump. (Another negative about this foundation.)

Pressed Powders -MAC - Blot Powder - Medium
rated 5 of 5

Total HG for me. I've been using this product for years. I am NC20 with very oily/acne prone skin and use medium. This does not get cakey and does not build up on my skin thru the course of the day nor does it cause breakouts. I have tried many other powders and none compare to this one.

Pressed Powders -Lancome - Translucence Mattifying Silky Pressed Powder

Based on the great reviews on this site - I had to give it a try. I just don't get the hype. I didn't even leave the house when I had to blot with my Mac Blot Powder. I am NC20 with oily skin and used Buff 200. It looked bad upon initial application - settled into every pore on my face. After 20 minutes and I was applying blot powder. Thru the course of my work day - it turned cakey and orange. I could not wait to wash this stuff off of my face. I know everyone is different - but this did not work for me - returned.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - pointed foundation brush
rated 4 of 5

I have tried all of the "popular" foundation brushes - including the one that everyone raves about - Shiseido. The Sonia Kashuk pointed foundation brush is my favorite foundation brush - its cheap and gets into all the tight spots on your face - worth every penny!!

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Invisible Fluid Makeup
rated 5 of 5

I had my doubts when I first tried this foundation - but this stuff rocks!!! I have very oily/acne prone/sensitive skin. This stuff does NOT settle into any fine lines nor does it settle into my pores. (Most of all - does not break out my skin.) It really gives my skin a flawless finish. I am a NC20 and use 1WN2. I use 2 layers and no primer (primers break me out). This stuff is so light - the first layer sinks into the skin and the 2nd layer gives the flawless finish. I use Mac Blot Powder to set and it lasts all day (may have to blot a couple of times during the course of the day - but thats typical for me). This one lasts longer than Double Wear and looks MUCH better on my 40 something skin. This one is totally HG!!!

Liquid -Urban Decay - Naked Skin
rated 5 of 5

I'm surprised by the low ratings. I have very oily/acne prone/sensitive skin and this stuff rocks. My 2 favs are this one and Estee Lauder Invisible Foundation. Naked Skin offers a bit more coverage and lasts all day (with no primer). I am NC20 and use shade 3.5 which blends right into my skin (Shade 3 was way too yellow.) Yes - this is a light foundation - but you can easily build it up by applying another layer. This stuff lasts all day and no new zits!! This stuff looks so much better than any of the long wear foundations on the market - and I've tried them ALL from high end to low end.
