Fragrances -Marc Jacobs - Daisy

The reason so many people wear this perfume is because it truly is a beautiful scent. It is light and unassuming, not trying to be an instant classic or even dominate a room. It is a great scent for spring and summer and smells of watermelon and daisies (duh) to me. Not a great stand out pefume, but still a good scent, one that isn't going to burn any perfume bridges in your mind. Heard it might be good as a layering scent, so will report back once I try out some combinations.

Fragrances -Paris Hilton - Fairy Dust

I hated the cloying gardenia top note so much that I had to rub my wrists raw under hot running water until I could no longer smell it. It has such a fake plasticy artificial quality to it, if compared to a bouquet it would be the fake one rotting away in storage while the real flowers are on display. Might just be my body chemistry but from my experience I truly recommend looking to another floral perfume instead. The sillage is crazy and it lasts forever, I mean for. ev. er. Doesn't evolve in the slightest besides a slow transition to a powdery flowery old lady smell. All in all, Paris Hilton failed us once again, but is that really that big a shocker?

Mascara -New York Color - High Definition Volumizing Mascara
jbmakeup 11/7/2012 11:31:00 PM
Great mascara! I feel like it's not my HG but it is closer to it than I have come before. Makes lashes long and volumized while also seperated. I do quite a few coats because I like it a liitle more wham bam thank you mam. It goes from daytime to nighttime easily with layering and is very adaptable in that sense. The brush is not my favorite, but then again nothing is ever truly perfect. I reccommend this to any and all looking for a cheap new mascara that may not change your makeup world, but will give you some fine a** lashes!

Fragrances -Comptoir Sud Pacifique - Vanille Abricot

First off, not the prettiest bottle but who cares when it smells so good! It definitely will not be sitting beautifully next to some classic Chanel perfume on a display in your room, it is a scent not to be taken too seriously. It smells so sweet and fragrant that one to two sprays is plenty. althougth the lasting power isn't terrific, do not overspray because the sillage is pretty grand in the beginning before fading and you don't want it to be too cloying. Some friends tell me the scent is like a marshmellow and some say its TOO sweet while even one guy tells me I smell good every. time. I wear it. So I think the appreciation for it really is an acquired sniff, and I happen to love the smell of it. It reminds me of pure sugar cookies and even a hint of some peach jam, so delightful and so naughty, in a way, to smell so delicious;) I wear it mainly in the winter, opting for a lighter frag in the summer months as sweet gourmandy perfumes can turn sickly in the heat no matter how amazing. Overall, I highly reccommend this perfume if you love to smell like food and happen to have more than just a bit of a sweet tooth!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Beauty Tubes
jbmakeup 11/7/2012 11:10:00 PM
I was excited to try this mascara out because my inner geek loves the idea of tubes on my lashes, but this sadly dissapointed on its own. It creates a natural long lash look which is admirable, but I prefer more volume as well as length and this really doesn't provide that. However, when I layered my rimmel scandaleyes flex on top once dry, concentrating on the tips of my lashes and then really wiggling the wand at the root to add volume, they looked fake! Not the best quality looking fake lashes, but the slightly spidery kind ha, but fake nonetheless! Layering didn't halt or make removal difficult, the mascara on top simply came off with the little flexible rubbery tubey strings that I pulled off of my lashes after rinsing with warm water. Voila! No raccoon eyes and soft lashes. Pretty freaky but pretty cool.
