Mascara -Kiss Me - Kiss Me Mascara
jazzy_chica85 2/1/2007 5:13:00 AM
I have used this mascara thrice and so far it has worked splendidly well. Finally a mascara that doesn't make me look like a panda in 30 minutes, doesn't irritate my sensitive contact-lens wearing eyes and boosts my confidence with eyelashes ever so pretty. Now the downside to this product is the hefty price tag attached to it (£18.50 for crying out loud) but I suppose it is definately a better buy than other mascaras I have tried such as Lancome Hypnose and Christian Dior Diorshow. Though I must admit that it may not create lashes as luscious as Diorshow but in order to compensate for this I use my Shu Uemura eyelash curler prior to wearing the mascara. As of taking the mascara off it was easy but quite irritating with the whole touching my eyes with bare fingers. But I give it five stars for giving me the chance to have mascara eyes again (I had bare eyelashes for a year).

Lip Treatments -MAC - Tinted Lip Conditioner - Summerfete

Please never stop making this product! My lips never dry whilst using this, unlike other lip products. It gives a very natural look and matches well with my olive skintone. It's perfect for those days when I don't feel like glossing up my lips and give it a hint of colour that keeps me feeling pretty.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm

I bought the tube version after being persuaded by tons of magazines and the lip balm's celebrities. I finally found the lip balm for me. I reckon it's the beeswax. I use to buy labellos, vaseline... but they made my lips more dry. The fantastic thing about this is that it's not petroleum based. Downside is that it can be a tad too "minty" at times. ***UPDATE*** Don't buy the balm in the tin version. You really have to dig in there to get a decent amount for your lips. Tube's the best!

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Mascara
jazzy_chica85 9/4/2005 4:36:00 PM
I loved the whole packaging. What sold this to me was its "theatrical" personality and its big a** brush. It's lengthened my usual short lashes. However it is not contact lens friendly and would somehow get "pieces" of mascara in my eyes, very annoying. I have not used mascara in a while and my lashes are more luscious, longer and curlier... healthier. I should have realized that before and would have saved a lotta cash.

Conditioner -LUSH - American Cream

a lovely juicy cocktail... lots of good natural stuff in it and it's just fantastic. smells lovely! makes my hair real smooth though i only apply it from ears down since i have long hair that tend to get oily easily. i like it better than other conditioners i've bought before because of its natural ingredients (strawberries, banana, vanilla pod......). it's just fantastic!!!

Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Lip Care SPF 15
jazzy_chica85 1/25/2005 6:25:00 PM
Not too mad about the smell. Wish it could be slightly better. Good in moisturising and a bonus that it has SPF too. I love that it's in a tube, unlike the lip butter (melon) that I used to have, I now always remember to put this on my lips and so it's not chapped all the time. I think the packaging's quite cute.

Highlighters -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat No 1
jazzy_chica85 1/25/2005 6:18:00 PM
It's not a concealer, it's an illuminator. So is repeated in various magazines. When my mom bought this I thought that she was being naive. But when I tried it on myself a few weeks later I loved it. I loved it because it really brightened up my face and looked so awake even though I was dead tired in my morning lectures. I put it from the inner corner of my eyes to the sides of my nose. Perfecto. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Now I know what the rave is all about. Price: steep but if you can afford it, go for it!

Treatments -Aussie - 3 Minute Miracle
jazzy_chica85 1/12/2005 9:03:00 AM
I only got one of those sachets that cost 99p. Wanted to try it first before I get the big tub. Con- the smell. It's very ehm overpowering. I didn't like it, made me feel sick but my mom thought it was wonderful so I guess that depends on taste. Pro- really made my hair soft and have a good shine not like its old dull self. I put on this treatment at night, so early next morning my hair looked lovely as if I had shampooed and blowdried it. I did not even brush my hair so I was able to get in time for my early morning lecture. Perfect for a lazy ars* like me. I think I'd buy it again despite the smell until I can find some other product that creates a similar or better result with a nicer scent.

Beautiful. Try before you buy by getting the travel pack for £12. I love it. Makes my skin feel really soft. You really do need a tiny amount on your palm.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose
jazzy_chica85 12/4/2004 1:11:00 PM
clumpy. my eyelashes does not have the 6x the volume as promised, rather just looks tinted so not worth the price then. though i like the packaging, cute bottle. but would not buy again because it's expensive for a mascara that works just like other cheaper mascaras i've tried.

Polishes -OPI - Coney Island Cotton Candy
jazzy_chica85 11/6/2004 8:39:00 AM
My first OPI nail polish and I don't regret spending £8 on just one bottle. What drew me to this product was the name, aww how cute!!! It's a nude color so I have to apply this product 3 times til I can see something. It makes my nails look clean that I can't help stop looking at them. It also got this french manicure look. If you want a nude, clean, cute look for you nails then this is it.

Moisturizers -Garnier - Pure Shine Control Moisturizer
jazzy_chica85 11/6/2004 8:17:00 AM
It was great for the first two weeks... made my skin clearer than it was before, reduced my spots but didn't clear them all. But after those two weeks my skin became dull and I have gotten more spots and the moisturizer didn't reduce it like it did before. Is this weird or what? It just became a gunk that I put on my face. I'm still not finished with my first one so I'm just gonna finish that and search for another moisturizer that I hope would be my HG.

Eyeliner -Lancome - Le Crayon Kohl
jazzy_chica85 10/21/2004 6:16:00 PM
The first makeup my mom bought for me after stealing her Lancome makeup set, one in noir and one in brun. I've not tried other brands in these colors but I don't think I will. I'll stick to these thanks. Ok why it's nice: it doen't hurt when I put it on and I have sensitive eyes as I'm a contact lens wearer, can be smudgy or create fine lines. Isn't that all you need in a good liner? The liner last ages. I've had it for 5 years. But I might throw it (sniff) to be hygienic and all... TIP: always sharpen your eyeliner every week to prevent accumulation of bacteria and all that that could ruin your eyes... read this somewhere now sharing to the rest of you gals!

Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Lip Butter
jazzy_chica85 10/2/2004 8:13:00 AM
My first ever "The Body Shop" product that from then on I became hooked on their products and like the fact that they're giving something back to many communities for their produce. I bought this Lip Butter in Melonseed cause I like the smell better compared to the others. It is moisturizing, usually apply this before sleeping and wake up with smooth lips. The packaging is cute. Though it is expensive it lasts a whole year. I've still got mine it's been more than a year and I have used (still use)it almost every day. TIP: Instead of buying expensive Benefit's Lipscription, just use St. Ives Apricot Face scrub on your lips and follow with the Lip Butter. Same results and cheaper.
