Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear
jayadore 1/26/2011 6:44:00 PM
After years of looking for my HG foundation, I've definitely found it in Double Wear! I have extremely oily skin, to the point when some foundations would literally melt off my face due to the amount of oil (gross!). DW allows me to apply once in the morning and it'll last me well into the night. Not only this, but I only need to use the slightest amount for flawless natural skin. A lot of friends and family have even commented on how good my skin looks nowadays! :) As highlighted by others before, the packaging is definitely the let down with DW. I really wish there was a pump for the bottle! This plus the price in Australia is the reason I took off one lippy!

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Corrector
jayadore 7/23/2010 11:20:00 AM
This is definitely industrial strength concealer. Trust all the other MUA girls when they say this is insanely pigmented and a little goes a long long way. The corrector absolutely covers the dark circles under my eyes and most of the discolouration I may be experience at the time. It is very thick so the trick so it pick up the smallest amount and to blend, blend, blend. The only time I've ever had this product crease on me was when I accidentally picked up too much of it on my finger. And yes, I do use my fingers for this product because the heat seems to help with the blending for me. Otherwise, my only problem is with the packaging. I've always disliked products that "popped" open since a girlfriend once accidentally dug her nail into another one of my products. Just remember to be careful and to blend! Think this might be my HG concealer. :)

Treatments -Sally Hansen - Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Daily Nail Growth Treatment
jayadore 7/23/2010 11:10:00 AM
Really like this product. I randomly picked it up one day at the drug store because I needed something as a bottom coat. Although I don't think it makes my nails grow longer, it definitely made them chip a lot less. It also made my nails harder, which helped a lot against chipping and breaking. The only problem with this product is it's so.. gunky and thick. That put me off from using it once I used more thanl.. 3/4 of the bottle. And it takes quite a long time to dry. For some reason, mine seemed to stay in this semi state of stickiness after more than a minute.

Eyeliner -Lancome - Artliner
jayadore 7/23/2010 11:02:00 AM
This has to be my favourite liquid eyeliner out of the hundreds I've tried. The applicator is easy to use especially if you want the cat eye or winged look. Also, it has the longest staying power out of all the liquid liners I've tried thus far. I can have it on for most of the day and it'll be fine. The only reason I gave it 4 lippies out of 5 is because the liner isn't as opaque as I like. I find myself applying and reapplying the liner to get the perfect colour I'm after (even after shaking it, yes). I think that might be a personal thing though, since I also reapply the MAC fluidline. This would definitely be my HD liquid liner, losing only to MAC fluidline.

Mascara -Napoleon Perdis - Black Rush Mascara
jayadore 11/20/2008 9:27:00 AM
When I first got given this, I thought it was just a random sample Napoleon was given away. The packaging just looks dodgy and untrustworthy. I accidentally spilt some water on it and whilst wiping the mascara, I swear some of the ingredients list came off! Now I have a black smudge where the writing is suppose to be! The product itself is okay, it extends my lashes a lot but if you apply too much, it will clump. Plus it's very thick and I generally have excess on my brush. Not worth it compared to other brands!

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
jayadore 11/20/2008 9:23:00 AM
I really love this mascara! It's probably the only mascara that doesn't clump my lashes. It really lives up to its name as "full and soft". My lashes were longer with no clumps and I felt the mascara had a nice softness to it other mascaras didn't. I recently got given both the Clinque's High Impact and Napoleon Perdis' Long Black. Both extended my lashes really well but were clumply and felt heavy. Also for some reason, they'll always smudge whilst Full&Soft didn't at all! I use this almost every day and will definitely buy it again!

Hair Removal -Nair - Sensitive Formula, Gel Cream for Body Hair Remover
jayadore 11/20/2008 8:58:00 AM
This is probably the worst hair removal produce I've ever used. It smells HORRIBLE. All the past reviewers are right, the cream reeks and lingers. Intially I thought it smelt fine, then after a while the ammonia smell hits you like a bat! I would have given it more lippies if the cream did its job, but it doesn't work too well. It works okay on my face, but no where else. By the way, I didn't get the pump bottle version as Nair repackaged the product and it now comes in a tube. Never buying this again, ever.

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Aspirin Mask
jayadore 11/10/2007 6:06:00 AM
I know a lot of people have said this mask is awesome etcetc, and the fact that is costs near to nothing makes it even better. I've tried this mask twice now, and it's just HORRIBLE on my skin. My skin goes red within SECONDS of applying the mask, even after adding vitamin E to the mix. I think this mask is really good depending on your skin's sentivity/reaction. If it starts to sting, this mask isn't for you. I've read a lot of reviews, for people like me, the mask will sting and then your skin becomes inflamed. Also, don't use too much aspirin as your skin absorbs it into your system and it's possible to overdose on the mask. It'll be exactly the same if you've just downed a bottle of aspirin. Be careful!
