I was buying another scent when the owner of my fave boutique suggested i try this, so i spritzed. it was very strange at first- very woody and sexy for the first 30 minutes, like nothing i have ever sniffed. it got lighter cleaner and crisper as the day went on, then by the end of the day was warm and clean at the same time. fresh and feminine, this scent is very difficult to pin down. it is modern and vintage at once- with complex florals as older scents are, yet it is so clean, woody, green and fresh at the same time. i always get compliments and am asked what i'm wearing (hate to tell!!) and my husband loves it. i like that it is not common and i have yet to run into anyone else wearing it. i absolutely LOVE this scent and went out the next day and bought the big bottle. the body products, if they are available, would be amazing. if you like crisp, woody green scents Ivoire is for you.
tried this on a whim, frustrated with Lancome Eternicils in Black (its grey!!) and was finding Great Lash Waterproof just not great enough, wanted a change from my other go-to, L'Oreal Voluminous Waterproof....MAC Loud is great! long spidery lashes, nice and black and i am a notorious mascara melter- no smudging, flaking from 9am until the end of last night's hockey game, home at 10:30pm. amazing for me! a nice natural look, long and soft- very soft for waterproof, easy removal with oil based remover. love it, will definately repurchase!
Narcisse Noir by Caron: i purchased this scent UNSNIFFED based solely on the MUA reviews i had read....and it is as beautiful, sexy & mysterious as i had hoped. i do get the sweet orange blossom, but it is not light & flowery at all- this is where the "noir" comes in and makes sure you are wrapped in dark smoky mystery. there is a nag champa accord, which i love, and this scent just gets warmer and "darker" as the day goes on. i will do what another reviewer said she does and spray my pashmina/scarves so i can wrap myself up in this heavenly scent. Caron creates complex genius scent like no other. now, on to Narcisse Blanc......
had read reviews on this scent- all positive...but was out to purchase a different scent. it wasn't what i wanted to i asked to sniff the Habanita tester....walked around for awhile and FELL IN LUST with this scent! and it is all lust, wow! powdery at first, don't be fooled into thinking this is a light powdery scent, because then it dries down to smoky, creamy (my husband's word!), sexy skin. this scent is all woman, does not cry out to be noticed but when they get close they will be at your mercy. a wrist sniffer that has me addicted. the black glass bottle ( a lalique design) is gorgeous and looks amazing on a dresser. the newer scents cannot match the complexity of the vintage scents.....be warned
so sad as i wanted to love this scent, wanted to have my signature scent a bad gal scent named Bandit! yikes, motor oil, rubber??was dying to smell the leather, something sexy..... i am not even sure what happened when i put this on ( the EDP) all i know is i had to get it off asap. yuk, gag worthy, reminds me of BVLGARI Black. the back section of Canadian Tire. i do not think i am enough "woman" to carry off this scent, would love to meet the lady that can, lol. pas pour moi.
thank you MUA-ers for your reviews of this gorgeous scent! i wanted a fig scent that would not compete with my daughter's LP Premier Figuier and based on the MUA reviews ALONE (!!) i purchased last night. It is fresh, then green/fruity (not too sweet) then warm, figgy and woody. Delicious, elegant and sensual- indeed like a warm European evening on the sea.....je l'adore!

Top/Base Coats -Rimmel - Nail Bright Anti-Yellowing Whitening Base Coat

Amazing product- I use it for a natural sheer colour, one coat, dries almost instantly, you can put it on, do your make up and run out the door. Perfect instant sheer manicure! I use Essie, OPI etc and this is the one I go back to. No yellow staining, actually does "whiten" the nails, has a slight ridge filling effect as well so it smoothes nails. Very good staying power, at least 5 days without chips or peeling. I give this to girlfriends, it is amazing, and at under 5$- wow!
First purchased this years ago when I was buying Eternicils for a wedding- I knew I'd be crying plus I am so oily waterproof mascara is the only thing that doesn't melt. The Lancome rep recommended this concealer for the tears, lol, and I have not looked back! Creamy, staying power (all day!) and a perfect base for makeup. I use it for spot cover as well with a little powder on top. Could not live without, this is my HG concealer. I started using it when I was without lines and even now with a few around my eyes it does not crease or settle in, a beautiful formulation.
This def plumped my lips- and also the skin around my lips- in red patches- like an allergic reaction. I found it really plumped so I tried applying the product only on the middle of my lips and yet still got red patches coming off my mouth in random areas, over an inch long in some places, like I smeared pink popsicle all over my face. Too bad too faced- will not repurchase. Better off with Olay Regenerist Lip, full soft and moisterized.
miracle product- chapped lips, cracked dry hands/cuticles, cracked dry feet- use it at bedtime and my morning you will be blown away. cheap and cheerful ($13.00 canadian) it moisturizes and heals- the healing most likely due to the sulfur. perfect for cuts, scrapes and sores, it also helps with infected pimples, esp the sore boils deep down. try it after waxing! a large tin will last a long time, my daughters and each have one on our bedside table- a winter hand staple you will never have another hangnail! the tin is cute and retro as well.

Voleur De Rose= Rose Thief, great name. Love and adore this, along with Drole de Rose, another gorgeous L'Artisan rose scent. Earthy and flowery and inexplicably powdery. It gets me tons of compliments- and usually when I think all traces of the scent are gone on me. I always think L'Artisan scents disappear, but I think they just blend so well with the skin. Men and women love L'Artisan scents and they always get a reaction, never negative.
