Herades on me is a light/nude peachy-pink with a creamy matte consistency. It's almost MLBB on me only it's a tad lighter than my natural lip color. Nice color to wear everyday but for me I'll be dabbing a bit of Wet N' Wild in Mocha Bean to darken it just an itty-little bit. (Great use for Mocha Bean which I never use because it's too dark for me ^_^) By the way I got this with a clear case not the round black one. I think I'm liking this case because you can see how much is left inside and it doesn't look too serious... lol. Also this color leaves a stain on my lips, for me that's a plus so I don't have to hurry to reapply after eating. The only thing I don't like about this is the taste, I don't mind it too much though. Lipsticks are for enhancing lip color, not for eating... hahaha. I will definitely repurchase when I'm half way through on my second lipstick, ^_^.
Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Colors Pure Sky 913B
jaluna 10/17/2010 9:47:00 AM
This is one of my favorite nude lipsticks. The color on me is mostly light beige with a touch of brown and a small hint of pink, it's true that it's perfect if you want to pair it with a smokey eye look. I usually use my nude lippies to combine or mix with my other lipsticks that are too dark to use for day wear, mostly brick reds and brown red colored lipsticks. The result is the best MLBB shade! Staying power is really good, well I usually layer this so I think that helps to make it last longer. I will definitely repurchase if I do get a chance to see it again. ^_^
Bronzers -Wet 'n' Wild - Bronzzer in Medium Dark 702A [DISCONTINUED]
jaluna 10/17/2010 9:21:00 AM
Okay, I don't use this as a bronzer. I use it as my 'no brainer' blush, this is actually what I always reach out for when I'm undecided which blush color to use. It compliments my skin tone really quite well, I love that it's matte and doesn't have shimmers, it gives me a natural sunkissed look. Packaging is okay, I don't really carry around blush-on when I go out so it doesn't matter. The brush that came with it is useless, don't use it unless you want streaks on your face. Staying power is really good on my acne-prone oily skin, 4-6 hours tops and no break outs from this product. Will definitely buy again, I actually already have an extra. ^_^
Bronzers -Wet 'n' Wild - Bronzzer in St Thomas Shimmer
jaluna 10/17/2010 8:09:00 AM
I really didn't want to purchase this particularly, it was just included in the lot of makeup that I bought online. I do not like shimmers in my make up because I have oily skin and shimmers tend to accentuate more shine that I don't need. I decided not to use this on my cheeks but will use it as a brow bone highlighter which for me works just fine. Sometimes I really don't like to use 'too obvious' highlighters, this helps me achieve a very subtle pop that works well with my khaki-green eye shadows. I won't be repurchasing because I think there's already too much product on the pan that would last me a really long while. I don't understand the sponge applicator that came with it, I mean this isn't a face powder or foundation that you would use a that kind of applicator with it. Oh by the way you can also use this as a highlighter on your body on night outs ^_^.
I happen to like the smell of roses, it's somewhat rare to find rose scented colognes out there. Delicate Petals is a true mix of roses and tangerines, with a very light musky scent to it. The overall smell is light and fresh, can be worn all year round. Packaging is very pretty and looks quite romantic. The only thing I don't like much is the staying power, you will have to re-spray every few hours. Someone said here that they smell beer in this scent, I also got a hint of it. My sister used to wear a rose cologne scent from The Body Shop, I already forgot the name though it was kinda the same with Delicate Petals but the beer hint on the TBS cologne was more prominent and anyway the beer smell doesn't last long and I think it has something to do with your body chemistry also. I will repurchase when I finish my bottle, and I fear that I will finish this quite quickly. I spray at least seven times before I'm contented with the scent on me ^_^.
I have this in 21 Medium Beige, which is a perfect enough shade for me I think this is the 2nd to the darkest shade they have. I bought this foundation because first there were good reviews and second I wanted a powder foundation that can give me enough coverage without looking cakey and would somehow hold the oiliness of my face. Coverage was decent if you don't have much to cover, I suggest a good moisturizer as a base for this for it to hold on to. I only use this dry though you can use it wet as well. I only became oily only after 2 hours I think which is okay but I would prefer it to be more longer than that. I did not break out from this so yay! I find the packaging to bulky for me to carry it around but I love that it has a separate sponge compartment which is very hygienic. Right now I use this to set my liquid foundation and it does it's job quite well. Also the SPF 28 is a huge plus for this foundie. I will repurchase when I ran out.
My sister brought 2 bottles of this from the States and gave me one. I'm not very much into too sweet scents but this one I can handle I guess. It kinda reminds me of grapefruit but there's no grapefruit on the ingredients. I don't mind the tangy scent it's actually what I like about it. It lasts quite long enough you might need to reapply after 4 hours or so but not too much or you might get sick of the sweetness in it. I won't be repurchasing because the big bottle will last quite a long time and I have other 7 BBW scents to alternate it with.(^_^)
Eyeliner -Rimmel - Extreme Definition Two-tone Eye Definer
jaluna 11/1/2008 8:52:00 AM
I bought this in London Girl shade which is a nice dark forest green that's almost black on one end and a metallic shimmery olive green on the other. I love this eyeliner because it doesn't tug on my lids. Application is so easy the and it lasts quite a long time on my lid no smudging. I use the dark color on my upper lash line and the metallic olive green on my lower lashes for a nice soft effect look. I already bought me an extra because I just love this color on my eyes. Also be careful because the product itself is quite soft it can break off easily. (^_^)
Palettes -Coastal Scents - 78 Piece Makeup Palette
jaluna 10/6/2008 7:49:00 AM
This is my first Coastal Scents Palette and I must say I am impressed with the pigment and they're not chalky at all. I'm still not able to use all the eyeshadows included in the palette but all of the eyeshadows that I have used are nice and beautiful. Staying power is pretty fair but if you have oily lids like I do a good eye primer is needed not just to prolong but also to make the color pop but for subtle looks you can do without the primer. About the blushes since I'm Asian and have a bit of a tan I can't use much the lighter shades but those the ones that I use are really nice and pigmented as well and stays on pretty long also, I have not broken out with the use of the blushes so it's great. I'm thinking of getting the 28 palette if it becomes available to one of our local resellers here in the Philippines. (^_^)
I have this in Apricot Flush and it looks so well on me, it gives me a healthy natural look. Staying power is pretty good too and I think for it's size it's going to last me a long time, the best thing about it is I never broke out from this. This beats Maybelline's mousse blushes. I will definitely repurchase this maybe even try Peach Mousse next time.(^_^)
Powder -Cover Girl - Fresh complexion oil control makeup (powder foundation)
jaluna 6/3/2008 12:34:00 PM
I have this in Soft Honey and it's perfect for my tanned skin. I only use this as a face powder to put on top of my foundation. It doesn't really help with controlling oilies on my face but this doesn't make me break out which is 'yay' for me. By the way I use a powder brush when applying this, the color looks more even. I may repurchase if I can buy it at a cheaper price.(^_^)
I got this in Warm Beige which I must say has pink undertones that doesn't quite suit me but I use this along side with my Pocket Powder in Soft Honey to tone down the pink. The liquid foundation was sheer so it only provides medium to light coverage, if you have little to hide then this is perfect. I'm not sure about its 'oil control' aspect but this foundie did not add to the usual amount of sebum on my face. I have postponed my using of this product since it's hot and humid where I am, I'll probably resume use when the weather is a bit cooler and when my tan gets lighter. I'm not sure about repurchasing because for me there's a lot of product in the bottle that would last me months and months.(^_^)
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - White tea and ginger body lotion
jaluna 6/1/2008 11:54:00 AM
I'm reviewing the lotion variant, I love this scent and product. It's non-greasy and is easily absorbed by the skin but the scent doesn't last quite long. I love to use it in the summer because it doesn't get sticky. I have the big bottle so I placed some on a small pump-container and use it as a hand lotion when I'm out. I also have the body splash and will be buying this again when I ran out. (^_^)
Mascara -Avon - Astonishing Lengths *Waterproof Lengthening&Defining Mascara
jaluna 6/1/2008 11:44:00 AM
I like the Avon wash-off waterproof mascara better than this one. This clumped on me and smudged, I had to use a clear mascara as a base for this just so I can use it. I was really disappointed and I will not be buying this again even if it's on sale, I'm just going to finish this one tube and move on.
If you want simple lashes like a little definition without lengthening or thickening this is quite good enough. Does not clump, doesn't flake, doesn't smudge on me and stays the whole day. I would continue buying but they're not holding this product at the local Avon stores where I am at the moment but I'll definitely buy again. (^_^)
