I bought it because it's a true black, and I like that of it. I wanted it to set my eyeliner... and it did look wonderful after I applied it. Nevertheless, a couple of hours after, marvelous black was gone!!! It's staying power is really bad, and since it's one of the most importart issues for me, I think I will not be buying it again.
Loose Powders -Clinique - Blended Face Powder and Brush

If I use it alone, it looks quite well and natural, and controls shine -of course, I do that during weekends, when I don't work and I'm not constantly near A/C (it causes my skin oilier). If I use a brush for setting make up, me face becomes cakey, really horrible so I use a puff instead. At first it looks ok, and after 3-4 hours I become tremendously oily. I blot and then use a pressed powder -which is not Clinique btw and sets better. I still have a lot of powder but don't know what to do with it, I don't like but I can't return it here. :(
I don't really have really dark circles, I just need a moisturizing eye treatment since my lids tend sometimes to dry. I feel my skin softer and it hasn't dried.
A nice peachy blush... I love it because it looks so natural. But, be careful, because if you apply too much it can be really orange. One of my favorites for summer.
Moisturizers -L'Occitane - Rice Ultra-Matte Face Fluid

I got a couple of samples, and then decided to buy it. It does leave my face matte. When I use it alone, I need to blot my face like 5-6 hours after applying. When I use it with foundation, the time reduces to 4 hours, but it's still pretty good since before it had to be every 2-3 hours. The container is not very confortable to use (glass and it's heavy) and you get a small amount for the money you pay, but I like the results.
One of my favorites!!!! I was my everyday blush for more than a year!!!! It is a subtle blush, that doesn't look cakey.
Not yet my HG foundation, but pretty close... it's the one that lasts the longest before I become sort of a shiny shiny disco ball. I found a pretty close skin tone match, so I'm pretty happy with it. Nevertheless, it does need a pump cause it's not that easy to get it out. A bit pricey for a d/s foundation, but not as expensive as h/e ones.
People at Benefit Counter sold me this as an e/s primer... definitely it isn't!!!! It's more of a concealer in case you have blue, purple, etc. on your lids... since I don't, I don't really need it. Actually, it makes me look more yellow, and my skin tone has already strong yellow undertones :s
Lip Gloss -Victoria's Secret - Beauty Rush Gloss -all
jaguayanflawer 5/4/2011 4:28:00 PM
My overall favorite lip gloss. I don't usually wear lipgloss since I find it too sticky, so I rather use lipstick. Nevertheless, this one is almost permanently in my purse for more than 6 months. I got mine in Passion Fruit and I really like the way it looks, on my bare lips or over lipstick. I bought mine in BsAs Duty Free Shop so I found it tremendously cheap.
I sometimes use it in combo with Benetint, but definitely use more Benetint than this. I does make my lips look natural, but I already have dark lips, so I don't see any added color. There are plenty of better Benefit products to buy.
I have long and thick lashes, so my main concern is to hold the curl and add a bit of drama (false lashes effect). This mascara holds the curl and lashes look quite well, but... IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE WITHOUT TAKING MANY LASHES WITH IT!!!!! Any make up remover seemed to work, so I used baby oil... that worked, but still it took many lashes with it. Definitely NEVER buying it again.
Mascara -Max Factor - False Lash Effect Waterproof
jaguayanflawer 5/4/2011 12:58:00 PM
This is the first Max Factor product I buy, and I think I will never buy any other again. I have naturally long but straight lashes, so I'm mainly concerned about holding the curl and adding a bit of drama. This one, does hold the curl, but makes my lashes look shorter than any other mascara I tried -even as if I wasn't wearing mascara. I heard the water bases one is really good, but since I don't use those ones cause they can't hold the curl, I think I will never try it again. In the meantime, I will use it for my lower lashes, it does work well on those.
I was looking for clinique's black honey dupe, and I friend told me that I should try this shade. It isn't really a dupe, but she was sure I was loving the shade, and she was right!!!!! It's a red burgundy matte lipstick, perfect for work days!!!! I use it with very natural e/s, and it looks wonderful in a pinup look -sort of Dita Von Teese style, which I love. The first day I wore it, my husband told me I looked really good and so did the people at my job. It's becoming one of my favorites!!!!
Eyeliner -BeneFit Cosmetics - Badgal Waterproof Eyeliner
jaguayanflawer 5/3/2011 7:29:00 PM
I bought it because I love really dark black eyeline and cause I hate my line to dissapear as the day goes by. Well, this one isn't that dark and it dissappears and smudges as if I was wearing khol!!!! (I have oily lids). I didn't want to go for liquid liner, but since I haven't found a pencil eyeliner that works, I thing I will go for crayon, gel or liquid.
I like it, I actually find it fun!!!! The color depends on your mood/heat of your body. Since for health issues I should maintain myselft calmed down, I find it very useful. For me, the color usually keeps almost clear or a slight pink. Anyway, one day that I got very upset at my job, I applied it and it inmediately turned magenta. Of course at that moment I was still upset, but afterwards that I thought about it, I found it fun!!!! It does smell and taste weird, and feels a bit sticky... but, I found that almost all lipglosses feel sticky, smell and taste weird -that's why I prefer to use lipsticks. The packing, it's not luxury... but since I carry it in my purse, it works fine. It's not heavy nor I feel like I can break it.
