Conditioner -Back to Basics - Sunflower Conditioner
jad211 7/5/2002 2:36:00 PM
As with the Sunflower shampoo, I am thrilled with this conditioner. It smells fantastic and leaves my hair looking amazing...shiny, healthy and knot free. This formula is very moisturizing so even though I have long, thick hair, I only need about a nickel sized amount to do my whole head. I absolutely love it and will continue to buy it as long as they keep making it!

Hair -Back to Basics - Sunflower Shampoo
jad211 7/5/2002 2:33:00 PM
I think I've finally found my holy grail shampoo! This shampoo smells heavenly and it leaves my hair soft, shiny and extremely manageable. I'm always a bit apprehensive using clear shampoo (usually creamier formulas work better for me) because they tend to leave my hair dry and brittle, but this formula is super moisturizing. I will buy this again and again and at $8.99 a bottle, it's not exactly dirt cheap but a pretty good deal. The packaging is also very nice =)

Moisturizers -Origins - NIght-A-Mins Cream
jad211 4/24/2002 2:33:00 PM
Iffy on this one...I did the whole Origins line a few months ago and my skin improved intitally but went downhill from there. This cream smells like a dream and I really wish it did not break me out because I loved it. However, I had more clogged pores than ever while using this and I have combo skin. Might be best for very dry or normal skin types.

Cleansers -Origins - Checks and Balances
jad211 4/24/2002 2:30:00 PM
Ugh...liked this at first but after a day or two, my skin was a dry, flaky mess. This is way too drying, even for combo skin. On the up side, it lasts forever because you only use such a small amount and it does smell good. Might be best for really oily skin.

Masks -Sage - MSSR Redefining Mask
jad211 4/22/2002 3:40:00 PM
I really like this mask. Yes, it's hard to wash off, but I don't mind. Usually, masks that tingle irritate my sensitive skin, but not this one. I leave it on for 8-10 minutes (do not let it dry!) then rinse it off with cool water and my skin is soft and smooth. I don't use this too much because I only have a sample size but the three times I've used it, I've been very happy with the results =) When I run out, I will more than likey repurchase.

Liquid -Prescriptives - Unmakeup Invisible Finish Foundation
jad211 4/16/2002 7:37:00 PM
Perfect, perfect, perfect. I love this! The coverage is sheer to light and goes on like a dream...it almost feels like you are smoothing on a moisturizer. It also blends amazingly well. I do have to use a bit of concealer after this though, but that is not a big deal. I'd rather use a light foundation and stick to coverage only where I need it (lots of red marks.) This is the first liquid foundation I've used that does not streak or look blotchy - it really does look like skin. I especially love the finish...slightly matte with just the perfect amount of glow. This is just right for my combo/acne prone skin...does not accentute dry areas and does not make me look or feel oily, however I think this may not be the best foundation for *really* oily or *really* dry skins. Sheer Cream is a perfect match for my fair, freckled skin. The price scared me at first, but after trying a sample, I have absolutely no problem dumping $32 for this fabulous foundation.

Moisturizers -Sage - Eye & Lip Balm
jad211 4/14/2002 2:26:00 AM
I have a sample of this and while I don't generally use it on my eyes, I do use it on my lips and love it. The name is deceiving, since this is definately not a balm...it's a very light pink cream. For me, this does not work well enough to use alone since it's so light, but I absolutely love a little dab of it over my regular lip balm. It's very moisturizing and makes your lips feel very soft. It also seems to have turned my lips back into their normal rosy color, if that's possible =) I also use it to make soft and pretty lip colors out of my loose mineral powders. Just mix a bit of the cream and a touch of the colored powder and apply with a lip brush. Works like a charm =) When I am done with my sample, which will not be for a long time I think, I will most likely purchase this item.

Skincare - Face -Sage - Combination Try-me pack
jad211 3/30/2002 10:56:00 PM
I too am speechless! I noticed a definate difference the very first time I used the products. I've been using the combo skin pack for a little over a week and my skin is sooooooo soft and smooth and my breakouts are going away FAST. I did however get a bit overzealous with the 20% gel and Fix Zit XX with sulphur and am still getting over some major dryness on my chin but overall, my skin looks pretty amazing! My holy grail products are the facial shampoo, old lady cream, fix zit 5% and 10% and 12% smoothing cream, but I love all of them and just purchased 8-10 months supply of almost everything =) Here is what came with my pack: 2oz Corrective Grains (regular) 2oz Facial Shampoo (regular) 2oz SPF 25 1oz Old Lady Cream 2oz Pink Gelloid 1oz(?) 12% Smoothing Cream 1oz(?) 20% Smoothing Gel Samples: 1oz MSSR Redef. Mask Fix Zit in all strengths MSSR 2%

Skincare - Face -Sage - 12% Smoothing Cream
jad211 3/30/2002 10:44:00 PM
Love this stuff! My skin is so even and smooth now...and it's only been a week! I did experience quite a bit of dryness, but I attribute it to the 20% gel I was using in conjunction with the 12% cream. I stopped using the gel a few days ago and my skin is looking radiant. I can't wait to try the 20% cream too =)

Skincare - Face -Sage - Smoothing Gel 20%
jad211 3/30/2002 10:41:00 PM
I do love this product, however I think it's just a tad too rough on my skin. I was using this and the 12% smoothing cream for a few days and really dried out, even on my forehead, so I stopped using the 20% gel and things are much better now. On the other hand, it's definately effective and FAST! Surprisingly, I only felt a very minor tingling when using it...but it still dried me out. I may try this again in the summer, but I think the creams work better for me and I am looking forward to trying the 20% cream I just ordered =)

Treatments -Sage - Fix Zit 10% Regular
jad211 3/30/2002 10:35:00 PM
I love this stuff. I use both 5% and 10% for area and spot treating every single night and my breakouts have subsided dramatically. Any pimple I do get either comes to a head very quickly and then dies within a day or two (where it used to take months), or it just gets zapped completely before it even has a chance to surface. It does tend to dry me out slightly when used alone...but not when I buffer with Old Lady Cream. I will definately repurchase this!

Treatments -Sage - MSSR 2% BHA Solution
jad211 3/30/2002 10:31:00 PM
I don't think MSSR 2% did anything for my face either...I now use Paula's Choice 1% BHA in place of the MSSR and am having much better results. This is the only Sage product I've used so far that I would not repurchase. Update: I feel my original review was unfair since I only gave the MSSR a week. I decided to try this again a few days ago, using it only at night since it does not work well under makeup and it seems much better this time around. I stopped using PC wabout a week before I started using this again and I have not had a single zit since so everything seems A-OK. I will keep my PC just in case though.

Treatments -Sage - Fix Zit XX with sulfur
jad211 3/30/2002 10:29:00 PM
Holy burned skin! I used this on two stubborn "big mothers" I had on my chin a few days ago and yes, it killed them REALLY fast (about two days and they were completely gone), but I look like I have a 2nd degree burn there now. I've been slathering on gelloid and old lady cream for a few days and it's healing nicely...it should be absolutely fine by next week, but wow, I am peeling and flaking something terrible. I will use this again, but more sparingly (I was really globbing it on a few times a day - a big no-no!) and not on my sensitive chin again. I use it on my forehead almost every night - the zits are almost gone and I've had no problems with drying. It's definately effective but please be careful when using it on sensitive areas of your face!

Masks -Sage - Gelloid-Pink
jad211 3/30/2002 10:23:00 PM
I only use the pink gelloid as a mask in the morning. I have very dry skin lately and apply the gelloid while I'm in the shower. I let it soak into my skin while shaving and rinse it off with the grains and facial shampoo. I feel very soft afterwards. I do still need Old Lady Cream afterwards because my skin is SO dry. Gelloid is definately moisturizing, but I find it too oily looking to use as a regular moisturizer unless I'm just hanging around the house. It also just seems to lay on my skin no matter how much I try to rub it in. Sometimes I do mix it in with Old Lady Cream and it works well that way. Perfect as a mask...just decent as a regular moisturizer. I'm trying out a sample of the orange right now and will send in a review soon.

Moisturizers -Sage - Old Lady Cream
jad211 3/30/2002 10:17:00 PM
This is one of my favorite Sage products and I have so many! I absolutely refuse to leave the house without it. Old Lady Cream is a light, but somehow rich moisturizer that feels like air on my skin. It absorbs immediately, never feels suffocating and makes my skin feel extremely smooth and soft. I use it regularly and have absolutely no problem with breakouts...a major plus! Like most Sage products, this is very concentrated and you only need a very small amount for your whole face...I currently have a 1oz size and have barely made a dent in it after slathering it on twice a day for over a week (I'm having a bout with very dry skin right now - see reviews of Fix Zit and Smoothing Gel...)
