Liquid -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation
jababy3 3/10/2013 10:41:00 AM
I have been a faithful user of Estee Lauder Double Wear or Revlon Colorstay for years... until both companies changed formulas. I still have half a bottle of the original Double Wear that I have been using and I haven't tried the new formula because it has gotten so many rotten reviews on the EL website and I HATE the new Colorstay! So... I started doing my research for a replacement. I read many reviews on the Cover Girl Outlast 3 in 1 and finally broke down and purchased. I am so glad that I did... It honestly reminds me of the original Double Wear. It goes on beautifully, covers all my imperfections, stays all day from 5:30 in the morning until I wash my face before bed at night. Because it lasts so well, so does everything I put on top of it.. I do not touch up throughout the day. My 43 year old skin loves it!! I have been using this for over a month now and have had no complications or issues. I want to thank Cover Girl for giving me the qualities that I love in a foundation but was sure I would not find again. And...from Cover Girl!!! Whodathunkit!!
Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - 8-pan Palette "Comfort Zone"

I have mixed feelings about this palette. It's everything I have come to love in Wet N Wild eyeshadows... Great pigmentation, blends like a dream... but, I find that when blending 2 or more colors from this palette that my look is just "muddy"... maybe it's just me.
Why did they change the formula??? Why? It was so perfect before. Have they never heard "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"? I am so disappointed... I used to alternate between the previous formula and Estee Lauder Double Wear, but looks like I will be giving all of my money to Estee Lauder now. Going to return the 2 bottles of this new formula to Ulta today. I am so mad at Revlon!!!
I use #27 Deep Rich Brown. Most of my grays are right in the crown of my head. My hair grows very fast so I have to touch up the roots once a month. I have never had a problem with this damaging my hair and as a matter of fact it is probably in the best shape it's ever been in and I have used this product for over 2 years now. The color does fade some which I don't mind because it almost looks like I have highlights in my hair. I love this stuff and I can't see spending so much more on more expensive dyes when this gives me just what I am looking for.
Love it! Thickens lashes, not too dry, not too wet, does not smudge. It is a little difficult to remove but works so well that I don't mind. Throwing out all my other mascaras because this is all I need.
I am reading people calling this old lady perfume... I call this classic, sophisticated and just like the name says... Beautiful! I wear this because I want to be percieved that way.
I actually like this. I only use this for my mid day touch up...the time of day when your makeup starts looking not so fresh. I apply it with my Bambuki brush all over my face and it gives my face a pick me up. I don't find it shimmery at all...just a nice nonchalant glow.
Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - ColorIcon Palette in #249 Vanity [DISCONTINUED]

Love it...I only wear the matte side because at my age shimmer just draws attention to the crows feet. I still think the shimmery side is gorgeous and wears exceptionally well, I just don't like shimmer. The matte side is perfect...middle shade on the lid, dark shade in the crease and light color as the highlight...it does not get any simpler than that... the result is classic and very pulled together. I got scared when I discovered it was being discontinued and went out and bought two backups. (my 23 year old daughter took one back to North Dakota with her). Dirt cheap and serves its purpose.
To be honest...kind of disappointing. I bought this with the expectation that it would be like the original Maximum Cover...It is sooo different. I want to like it because I normally love all EL products...but I get better coverage with Revlon Colorstay or Sally Hansen Your Skin foundation. I will be returning this and exchanging it for the regular Double Wear, which I LOVE.
For all of those that can't seem to wear this product due to breakouts... that is very unfortunate, you have my sympathy. For those of us that can wear it without the breakouts... we have struck gold. This is an amazing foundation. I have received so many compliments since I have been using Double Wear. All of the younger girls in my office want to know what kind of foundation I am using, I lie to them and tell them it's Revlon Colorstay. Don't judge me...they have the advantage of youth and I have Double Wear. This stuff seriously covers every flaw I have on my face and does not look "masky" at all... and the staying power, OMG the staying power. I put my makeup on at 5am and it doesn't budge til I take it off before going to bed, and because it lasts so well, so does every thing else I put on top of it. The only touchups I do throughout the day is my lip products. LOVE!!!!
Powder -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation

I love this stuff. This has been the only powdered mineral foundation that I have been able to wear...and I have tried ALOT. It doesn't oxidize on my skin and it does not settle into my fine lines. I don't care for the brush that comes with it...I use a flat top kabuki instead and it gives me a flawless finish. I would say that the coverage is better than medium...i find that I don't need a concealer when I wear this...but it still manages to look and feel ligtweight. Amazing!
Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Nail Color in Sparked / # 435F

I love this polish...it looks like Dorothy's ruby slippers...but pink!! Lasts forever. Because it is so pretty I just don't care that it is a pain to remove.
