WOOOOOW, it's been a while since i've written a review but this definitely warrants one. This is some pretty cool stuff! Super cheap (3-4 dollars), the shade range is limited admittedly.... But maybe if it gets popular enough theyll wise up and add more? :/ I use medium and it fits my NC30ish complexion nicely, tone isn't too pink like those of colorstay. Also the fragrance is great, hardly detectable, and drugstore foundations are notorious for having disgusting, over-fragranced products. The texture of this stuff is interesting, gel-like! But it dries to a very beautiful, semi-matte finish. Coverage isn't heavy but medium-buildable. Also the packaging is adorable and super sanitary, i definitely reccomend :D ________________________ UPDATE kay folks jk this stuff is not the bees knees. Beautiful yellow undertone considering its a drugstore foundation but man this stuff SLIDES off my face like theres no tomorrow. Coverage is okay. Makes me look like a greasy monkey within the hour. NOPE. I like using it when im gonna go to the beach or somewhere else where i want to look put together but not too worried if it lasts or not LOL

Liquid -Kat Von D - Lock-It
rated 5 of 5

So although I had been using MUFE mat velvet+ and liked it, I noticed the coverage wasn't really where i wanted it to be. I had read about the kat von d foundation's excellent coverage and was intrigued. I picked this up in medium 54 and matches me pretty well! Now first of all the packaging is SUPERB. By far one of the best looking bottles and most efficient pumps I have ever used. You can dispense as little or as much as you need! I don't detect much of any scent- which is good! Now the coverage on this stuff is FANTASTIC. First truly heavy coverage liquid foundation I have encountered. The finish on this stuff is matte and when you first put it on, I will admit you look done up. Not as bad as other matte foundations, but definitely detectable. However, the magic happens maybe 10-15 minutes after you apply this foundation. When your natural oils come through it softens up the matte-ness and turns into this beautiful demi finish! You look very polished without looking incredibly done up. Its AWESOME considering you dont even need to use concealer with this stuff! It also manages to keep feeling lightweight! Of course despite my love for this foundation, im pretty sure someone with dry skin would HATE it. So definitely do not tread near this foundation unless you have normal-oily skin. Also this foundation is fairly expensive but considering how little you need from how pigmented it is, itll last foreverrrrrrr. Also the staying power is very good even on my oil slick face :D RECOMMEND

Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Mat Velvet PLUS Matifying Foundation
rated 5 of 5
itsiliii 8/5/2012 4:47:00 PM

My FAVEEEE foundation thus far. Once I realized my colostay foundation was looking way too pink and mask like I knew it was time to head back to high end formulations that actually catered to yellow based skin tones. I had always read about MUFE mat velvet but somehow never actually gotten around to try it. And let me tell you, this stuff is the bee's knees for oily skinned gals. PROS -Good coverage, not heavy but definitely medium buildable. I dont find myself having to use concealer on any spots! -Good lasting power. Almost nothing lasts on my oily skin, but this stuff definitely fights to stay. haha nothing too crazy or miraculous but its good for me. -Beautiful texture! You cant feel it, and it leaves your skin all velvety and smooth, you dont have to powder, but i do add some powder to my extra oily areas -I love the bottle! It makes it so easy to apply to my face and is super sanitary :D -Good color match, I hate it when foundations pull pink on my skin...talk about fake -Hasnt irritated my skin and although there is some fragrance in the formula its nothing overpowering -Doesnt cling to dry patches too fiercely considering its a matte formula -Looks so natural again despite the matte finish :) CONS -I wish it had a tad more staying powder on my skin, but i guess my skin is too oily for almost anything :( Close to perfection, I will DEFINITELY repurchase :)

Liquid -Urban Decay - Naked Skin

Uhh okay, since when is something like this considered medium/full coverage? MUFE HD foundation covers more than this stuff and looks just as natural! Demi-matte finish that somehow manages to highlight every dry portion of your face- and im oily skinned! Gorgeous packaging...and that's about it. This stuff doesn't minimize a single imperfection on my face. In fact I find it barely evens out my skintone. And my skin isnt even that bad! So any ladies with real hyperpigmentation to hide- run away from this stuff!

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

UPDATE: After using this product even after breaking out I have realized that the powder wasnt responsible! YAYYY :D Breakouts stopped happening after i stopped using another product. I love this stuff and do recommend it! Lovely lovely powder foundation! -EXCELLENT coverage for a powder, once you spray it down or let it melt with your natural oils it looks like you applied liquid foundation -Beautiful matte finish -Good shade match -Nice portable compact, decent pricing for a high end compact So why only three lippies? Unfortunately ive been noticing all the areas where I focus this powder on (only apply this powder to) have been started breaking out. Now I know I have acne prone skin but my skin had been behaving for a pretty long time. All of a sudden it starts freaking out. Unfortunately I think it might be this :/ Also this stuff doesn't last too long on oily skin. Ackkk, would definitely reccommend for combo/normal ladies. Also tread carefully if youre acne prone!

Dang I had heard of this gem a while ago but for some reason had never thought of actually buying it! WOOOO this stuff actually makes me wanna go back and retest some foundations with this stuff as a primer to see if they actually stay on my face and i actually like them when they can stay on my face!!! :O After going through tons of so called mattifying lotions and foundations and even more primers I finally went out and bought this stuff. HECK YESSSSSSS. Okay this stuff does NOT keep me oil free all day. However it does dramatically reduce how quickly my face becomes oily. It becomes oily at a slower rate and the oilyness looks like more of a glow than the oil slick I had going on before. BUT the things that most impressed me about this stuff is how much longer it kept my foundation/bronzer/blush on my face. This stuff has got to be THEEE best primer for oily skin. Here I am 5+ hours later and my foundation still looks good. Something that has never happened to me before. In fact today my foundation lasted all day ANDDDD I worked out and when i wiped my face clean I still had a TON of foundation on. Keep in mind i was wearing POWDER foundation today too no hardcore 24 hour liquid foundation :) I RECOMMEND :D

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear

I really don't see what the big deal is about this foundation. Reviewers say this is the HG for oily skinned ladies... so i said LETS PUT THIS TO THE TEST. As you might know my skin is OILY. With a capital O...yes indeed. Almost nothing lasts on my skin. Wooooow this stuff looks bad. It clings to any dryness with a passion, and looks so matte and unnatural in sunlight. Not to mention it didnt last any longer than any other foundation ive used. Revlon CS is just as good as this stuff. Also...eww this sinks into fine lines and makes me look old. ew :(

UPDATE: IS THERE SHIMMER IN THIS TOO???....i thought i was going crazy but i swatched it and noticed tiny shimmer particles in this stuff! Maybe it was shimmer from something else idk, but I have noticed that this stuff doesn't control my oil very well at all. Also it appears to be clogging my pores. Ehhh id still reccomend for normal skinned woman! ---------- Okay I waited a while before reviewing this foundation! I use the calcium carbonate oil control formula in Golden Medium One thing's for sure this stuff has got a learning curve... PROS -Awesome coverage for a mineral foundation, borders close on liquid foundation type coverage -Yellow undertoned shades available -Not irritating to the skin -So cheap and so much product -The packaging is not messy! -Lasts decently long for a powder CONS -Really must blend this stuff in or it looks really chalky. Blend blend and let your oils come through and soften it before you judge it. -Any flakiniess accentuated, sometimes settles into fine lines- moisturize! Definitely recommend and will repurchase! Best and most affordable mineral foundation I have used thus far!

Styling Products -Garnier - Fructis Style Surf Hair

UPDATE: I like the effect of this stuff too much so I started using again- cautiously! Maybe I was applying too much, so just make sure to not put on too much! UPDATE: OMG this stuff tangles my hair out like nothing ive ever used before! It makes my ends all ratty and even when i shower the tangliness is still there. it builds up in my hair like crazy...LAME :( this stuff is AWESOMEEEEEE I had been wanting to try a product that added some volume and texture to my hair. I saw this on the store shelf and figured, hey what the heck! I have long hair so I was worried this wouldn't work, but I was very wrong! I use a dime size amount and emulsify and simply rub it through my layers. This stuff gives my hair awesome movement and really enhances my waves. The only thing is that you really got to wash your hair well to get out the waxiness....butttttt this is pure magic in a jar- and its cheap! :D

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
rated 3 of 5
itsiliii 6/24/2012 4:18:00 PM

UPDATE: Took pink for my taste :/ PROS -Longest lasting foundation i've tried, and its a drugstore brand..imagine that! Any bronzers/blush worn over this last way longer too -Decent coverage, still need concealer for really bad marks, but good enough on its own! -Good price, its pricy for DS, but preferable over 42 dollar foundations -When i wear this it helps control oil, not TONS but definitely a noticeable difference -I dont think its very difficult to apply CONS -Bad bad bottle, WHERES THE PUMP -Pinky undertones even in the so called "golden" shades, but its not TOO noticeable -Slightly masky if you dont apply it right, i wanna try the softflex version and see if that ones any better. All in all, definitely my fave foundation at the moment, itd be perfect if the undertones in it were a true yellow. But it's still my go to product! :D

Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation
rated 2 of 5
itsiliii 6/19/2012 4:18:00 AM

And now i've moved on to drugstore brands! Pros -YES FINALLY, a drugstore foundation with strong yellow undertones :D most drugstore foundations are untouchable by me because theyre just too darn pink for my strong yellow undertones. But not this! I use it in shade 202 and im an NC30. The color match is awesome -Cute packaging, easy and hygenic -Good price point Negatives -Strange sticky texture, sometimes doesn't set so i have to powder over it -Doesn't last very long, my oily skin melts it right off -Scent...strong, flower :p unnecessary! However it was cheap so I dont mind keeping it, definitely wont be repurchasing though! Really good for drugstore brand though and recommend it to normal-dry skinned women!

Powder -Meow Cosmetics - Flawless Feline Mineral Foundation
rated 2 of 5
itsiliii 6/11/2012 5:44:00 PM

Ordered this trying to look for the perfect oil control mineral foundation with good coverage. FIrst of all, good pricing for the amount you get! Slow shopping unfortunately, color range is weird...the "dark" shades reach NC-NW40s at the MOST. Also I noticed when i wear this stuff I get SUPER oily. I was confused considering it was supposed to be a matte finish...but upon closer inspection... has anyone noticed this stuff actually has chunks of glitter!?!?!?! NO WONDER MY FACE LOOKED LIKE AN OIL SLICK WITHIN THE HOUR Recommended only for normal skin types.

Liquid -NARS - Sheer Glow Foundation
rated 2 of 5
itsiliii 5/14/2012 1:41:00 AM

UPDATE: I think this stuff has started to break me out. Not sure but not gonna take any chances. If you dont have acne prone skin i still reccomend it though! Yes I do believe so folks. I thought it would never happen :,) Now the POSITIVES! -Beautiful finish! Not matte, not dewey, nice satin finish. Looks very natural -Provides a nice medium coverage PLUS looking natural :D Any hardcore pigmentation will still require concealer -Feels weightless on the skin -Matches my yellow undertones perfectly -Fragrance free! -Lasts pretty long on my skin, which is crazy considering its not a matte finish :D NEGATIVES -I still get oily. However it manages to stick through the oil slick :3 -Price...man it's so expensive but it's worth it for the quality and excellent cover match! -No pump....what the heck man. The foundation is pretty liquidy so it's easy to pour out. But still.....what the heck man xD I love this stuff, and definitely recommend it! :D

Liquid -Clinique - Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup
rated 3 of 5
itsiliii 5/7/2012 3:01:00 AM

Okkkkay. Well i was excited to try this because it was a formulation meant for really oily skin. Well my skin is very oily anddddd this wasn't all that hahaha Positives: 1) When freshly applied it leaves a really nice texture on the face- not overly matte but not dewey 2) Nice sheer-medium coverage, it can definitely be built up 3) Decent-ish staying power 4) Good price point! 5) Love the packaging, super hygienic! Negatives: 1) I ended up getting oily just as quick, maybe even a bit worse than normal 2) This stuff has BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE IN IT. Yeah the stuff that adds sheen to makeup...why WHYYYY would you put bismuth oxychloride in a foundation that's meant to MATTIFY??? yeah idk clinique...average foundation. Should be fine for ladies with normal skin.

Crème -Unlisted Brand - Mehron Celebre HD Pro Cream Makeup
rated 3 of 5
itsiliii 5/5/2012 7:41:00 PM

I had been wanting to try a good cream foundation, so when I saw a video where Wayne Goss raved about this -I knew I had to try it! The texture of this stuff is so smooth! It's not like the coverfx cream where you have to really work to get it to spread on your face. Nope this stuff glides like butter. The coverage on this stuff is amazing too, and its easy to build layer because of how creamy it is. The finish on this stuff is lovely too, i expect a super dewey finish but it's actually satin/matte and looks nice and natural. Not to mention, you get sooooo much product for sooooo cheap! Now the bad stuff, this stuff does tend to cake around dryness. Also what's up with the shade range? The shades run super neural except for the eurasia ones, and those are either too light or too dark for my NC25 skin. As a result i can't use this on my whole face (i bought the Medium 1) or it ends up making me look really pink. Well the product is so good so i still use it as a concealer, but sucks that they dont offer more yellow based shades :/ Won't repurchase once i finish it up.
