Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner - Black

I hate the brush inside and the packaging, but that is just what one has to expect with such a cheap price tag. I bought this in my Stop & Shop makeup section for about five bucks. Luckily, it hasn't totally dried up and it's been several months - however I've only pulled it out occasionally. I use a Michaels small angled brush for the application, and while it looks pretty good on my waterline and it definitely lasts without smudging, it makes my eyes super red, and I've made sure that this is the product that has caused that. I didn't really feel itching or stinging, but my eyes were very red and I haven't used it since which is such a shame. It didn't even have to be set with a black eyeshadow, and normally that's what I have to do b/c my waterline is very easy to irritate & pretty watery. It lasts all day on my top lashline without any problems, but it's horrible to take off at night and I'm sure this tugging causes wrinkles. For makeup remover, I find any oil-based remover works great, such as baby oil or jojoba oil.

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Cream Blush
rated 5 of 5
ispiratabyblue 8/26/2011 3:44:00 PM

This is amazing!! I can't believe it's only 3$, and the studio line usually goes on a 50% off sale, so you can get these at the unbelievable price of $1.50. These should be sold for WAY more money, though. They're not exactly cream blushes, but I think they're even better. They're more of a moussey texture and dry to a powder, and is pretty easy to blend. The color selection is absolutely beautiful, and the one I have is Tease - a great rosy pink, not too warm or too cool and perfect to give everyone an instant glow and awakeness. The packaging is very sleek and high-end looking, and though it's a little bulky I don't mind because I'm not the type to carry this around in my bag because it literally lasts the entire day, and more. I rubbed some on my hand last night and after lots of hand washing, sweating, humidity, and a shower, it's still on! The pigmentation is great, and you barely need any. Definitely give these a try, I'm for sure going to buy a couple more the next time I order from ELF or go to Target. I like applying this both with a brush and my fingers, just make sure your fingers are clean so you don't contaminate the product or your face :P I would 100% recommend it anybody, and I'm thinking of getting Flirt and Heartbreaker.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous - Pink Whisper 130 (LE)
rated 4 of 5
ispiratabyblue 8/24/2011 12:33:00 PM

I was really excited about trying out this product, lots of youtube gurus love these, especially this specific color. I think I would def buy a super lustrous lipgloss again, just not this color. The packaging is very sleek and the feel of the gloss is very smooth and creamy. I really like the applicator. But when you swatch it on your hand, it's a really pretty, everyday medium pink, not too warm or cool. But when you rub it around, it's just frost and shimmer. It looks really bad on me, and I wanted more of the color on the tube :( So pretty disappointed with the pigmentation, but other than that I really liked the product. Just the color is horrible. EDIT: The key to this lipgloss, especially if you hate shimmer on your lips, is to use just a touch and LIGHTLY go over just the very center of the top and bottom lips, like below the cupid's bow (where it kinda is a V shape at the top of your lip) to really define my lip shape and give it a nice sheen and it kinda serves as a plumper. it's beautiful like that!!! and it's what i've been doing everyday over my C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve. :)

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - australian organics - Volumising, Fortifiying Shampoo
rated 3 of 5
ispiratabyblue 8/23/2011 9:24:00 AM

This is a really good shampoo, smells good (it's infused with desert peach, lemon aspen, orange, lime, atlas cedar, and lavender, yum!) has professional looking packaging, and works pretty well. It's a very runny clear gel consistency, and so runny that you can waste a lot just by opening up the cap. It doesn't volumize, and can definitely make my hair greasy if I wash my hair twice with this stuff in one shower. So I only use it once whenever I shampoo, lather it in really thoroughly, and fully rinse the product out. It still nourishes my hair and doesn't leave a strong scent. It's $10 at Walgreens but I got it for $5 at Marshalls, which carries some Australian Organics hair products. Definitely not an HG shampoo though. EDIT: Makes my hair very greasy and limp the next day. Will not be buying again.

Blush -New York Color - Color Wheel Mosaic Powder Pink Cheek Glow
rated 5 of 5
ispiratabyblue 8/22/2011 12:21:00 PM

What a beautiful color!! It's just a great basic pink, not too bright, not too muted, which I think is hard to find in blushes and lip colors for some reason! I think this would look good on pretty much anyone with a fair to medium skintone, whether you're cool or warm toned, because it's just a great all around pink. It's not too peachy and it's not too purply. It has great pigmentation, not so good packaging (but who cares?? it could feel even cheaper, to be honest, compared to some products ive used). You don't need much either and it stays on pretty well. Definitely will repurchase :) What I do is swirl my brush to get all the colors and lightly stipple it onto my apples and then on my cheekbones, and then blend it lightly with the Elf face kabuki from the studio line. It's an amazing everyday color and just gives my skin that extra rosiness! If you prefer yourself in cool colors, get this. Now. NOTE: If you have a very deep skintone, I wouldn't recommend this because it might look a little chalky.

Conditioner -Redken - All Soft
rated 2 of 5
ispiratabyblue 8/22/2011 12:19:00 PM

I don't really like this conditioner at all. It didn't do anything for me, I had to use a TON (and it smells horrible!!) for my hair to even feel soft. It really doesn't detangle my hair and doesn't really do much for my hair. it doesn't feel as soft as if I used herbal essences hello hydration conditioner which is SOOOO much cheaper than this junk. I feel I had to go in with different conditioners, esp the hello hydration one, just to even get my hair to be the way I wanted it. I prefer Hello Hydration or Suave Almond & Shea Butter conditioner ANY DAY.

Treatments -Aussie - 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep
rated 4 of 5
ispiratabyblue 8/13/2011 9:06:00 PM

This is a great deep conditioner! I have seen a difference in my hair since using it - it grows out much healthier and feels softer and stays detangled. Plus I don't have to use as many moisturizing products in my hair, it kind of already has moisture in it from this :) It smells pretty strong, like a fruity coconutty scent, not exactly my cup of tea, and it definitely lingers. So that's kind of a con, but I don't dislike the scent. It's just a little too strong for me, and can even smell bitter and gross on dry hair if you don't put something on top of it. It's very thick and creamy, and I LOVE the packaging. Not only is it cute but it's really convenient. I love the squeeze function, and you really can control how much you want. The only con to it is that if you squeeze a bit too much you can't really put it back in there. It's a great detangler and I love it! I use it once a week and it works really well, and mix it with my jojoba oil :)

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish blush in Berry Shimmer
rated 4 of 5
ispiratabyblue 8/5/2011 11:39:00 AM

This is an absolutely gorgeous color! Normally I don't go for shimmery berry blushes, especially warm toned ones, but this isn't too warm or too cool. It's just a bit warmer than a pink, which is the best color on my cool toned Asian skin. This has AMAZING pigmentation and you need barely any for the prettiest flush! I think it's probably too much for everyday wear but what I love about it is that it's great for the holidays because it has a subtle shimmer that makes you look glowing and looks natural as long as you use a little! Plus it's great for darker skintones because it's such a bright, pigmented color and it's not going to look chalky on your skin. But if you have fairer skin like me it's still going to look very pretty! :)

Shampoo -L'Oreal - EverPure Moisture Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
ispiratabyblue 8/5/2011 11:33:00 AM

First, I DON'T have color-treated hair and this product still works really great. I actually prefer using products for colored hair because they seem to make my hair shinier and even more moisturized, as well as have less harsh chemicals, since colored hair usually is more fragile and must maintain the color to avoid excessive damage. I have long, fine, straight hair (lots of it though) but I still like this over volumizing shampoos that strip everything from my hair and cause it to get greasier quicker. This smells wonderful, comes with a lot of product, is easily attainable and not overpriced, and worth the 7-8 dollars. It also lathers really nice too even though it's sulfate-free, and is a pretty gentle shampoo if you're afraid of the words moisturizing shampoo, and like me go for volumizing ones. Overall I like this a lot and would recommend it to many people :) It's not an HG by any means but I really don't look for HG shampoos, just ones that keep my scalp healthy and not dry or greasy.

Conditioner -Suave - Professionals Almond & Shea Butter
rated 5 of 5
ispiratabyblue 8/5/2011 11:29:00 AM

HG CONDITIONER. Oh my gosh. It smells soooo freaking good (a fresh buttery coconut scent), is SOOO cheap and works better than Redken All Soft. The packaging could be prettier because it deserves to be, since the stuff inside is beyond amazing. Plus, the scent is fresh and warm at the same time but it's light too, and definitely fades over time. This is great if you don't like coconut, or just any strong smell like Aussie products. This, unlike any other conditioner, keeps my hair actually soft and tangle free throughout the whole day. You don't need much, and I use this everyday regardless if I'm washing my hair or not. It's a phenomenal product for an even more amazing price. CVS doesn't carry it but Walgreens, Rite Aid, and grocery stores will (I got it at Stop & Shop, which carries all Suave Professionals products). After the first time I used it I went to school my friend told me my hair seemed to grow longer, and I accredit that to this great little dude :) Definitely. will. repurchase! I don't even go into a store and look for new conditioners anymore. I'm a very loyal fan of this :)

Styling Products -Redken - OUTSHINE
rated 4 of 5
ispiratabyblue 8/5/2011 11:21:00 AM

This is a really great product if you have frizzy, hard to control, and dull hair. My hair isn't thick and curly, it's actually straight and fine but I have lots of it and it's pretty long. You need SOOO little of this product, trust me! I apply this when my hair is wet, not damp or dry, and it works wonderfully. I don't like it for flyaways but it definitely gives my hair some extra shine and smoothness. I use this everytime I wash my hair (every 3-4 days). Be aware that this CAN make your hair greasy. A little goes a very long way, so definitely bear that in mind. I have the 1 fl oz tube and I like the packaging. It also smells great (a lot better than the All Soft conditioner and shampoo) like a salon. It's a little unnecessary for me but who knows I might repurchase the 1 fl oz, just to have handy :)

Styling Products -Got 2 Be - Smooth Operator Smoothing Lustre Lotion
rated 5 of 5
ispiratabyblue 8/5/2011 11:15:00 AM

This is my HG leave-in conditioner, and I don't even have curly frizzy hair! My hair is naturally straight, fairly long, and fine with little volume and tangles pretty easily. It can be dry when it wants to, especially in the winter and summer. I can see an IMMEDIATE difference when I don't use this right after I get out of the shower, even once! This stuff smells amazing, the charms and packaging are great and I love the pump, and it's not a very thick or runny consistency. It's a lotion (obviously) and you really don't need much. I use this when my hair is wet and use it gradually. i start with half a pump (pea-sized amount) and apply it from my midshaft to my ends. Then I take another half a pump and go over my ends and LIGHTLY run it through the roots of my hair (but I don't go all the way up, just an inch or two above my ears). Then I apply my Chi Silk Infusion, Tresemme Heat Tamer spray, Hask Argan Oil, Redken Outshine, and Healthy Sexy Hair Conditioning & taming foam. They work amazing together and keep my hair detangled for a LONG period of time! Then I just let it air dry till it's nearly fully dry and comb it out with a wide-tooth comb. AMAZING product. Buy it.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Deep Clean Oil-Free Cream Cleanser
rated 4 of 5
ispiratabyblue 7/19/2011 9:28:00 PM

This is a REALLY good cleanser, and I find this better than the Clinique foaming-mousse for normal skin, which I used to use! As opposed to the Clinique, this product leaves my skin feeling refreshed, tingly, and clean without being dry, which the Clinique did. This is also more affordable and accessible than the Clinique, and I highly recommend this for normal to dry or dry skin! :) My cousin also uses this and she has combination skin, and it works well for her. Also, I have normal to dry skin, and it isn't acne prone and is pretty sensitive. I LOVE the menthol feeling to this, and you don't need a lot. The consistency is thick and creamy without being too thick. The only gripe I have is that it's pretty messy and gets all over my mouth when I rinse it off and does NOT taste good. I wouldn't recommend this for oily skin, obviously, because it's a cream cleanser, and sensitive skin because the menthol can sometimes be borderline burning and it IS scented, and contains sulfates. For a drugstore face wash I really like this and is well worth the price. I find it comparable to the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel for all skin types and that one is about 3 times the price of this one.

Styling Products -TRESemme - Naturals Lightweight Mousse with Sweet Orange Extract
rated 2 of 5
ispiratabyblue 6/26/2011 1:00:00 PM

This product didn't do anything for me. It didn't really give a hold and is super sticky! I thought it would be amazing by all of the great reviews, but for some reason what other people love never works for me.

Styling Products -TRESemme - Instant Heat Tamer Spray
rated 4 of 5
ispiratabyblue 6/26/2011 12:49:00 PM

This is alright. It's definitely better than the Pantene heat protection & shine spray for fine hair, WAY better! It smells a lot better (still fruity, though) and has an even wider, finer mist, which I love. It also is great for travel because of the new lock and unlock thing attached. And of course, it's super affordable and very accessible, since it is a drugstore product. This definitely protects my hair and does its job, but I don't like how wet it is. I have a problem with water-based heat protectant sprays. I definitely prefer serums, like the Chi Silk Infusion, even though they definitely don't cover as much of your hair as a spray would. My HG heat protectant is the Chi Shine Infusion, which isn't sticky at all. Though you don't need very much of Heat Tamer Spray, I still use a lot, and it's VERY greasy! It makes my hair very oily and leaves tons of buildup. It takes super long to dry - I find that I have to spray it in my hair once I get out of the shower, even if I'm using a curling iron and not a blowdryer. It takes at least 20 minutes to dry, and even then, it makes my hair feel very wet and damaged when I curl each piece. Overall, I do not recommend this product. EDIT: I have found that this is a great leave-in! It's vitamin enriched and is great for my ends. And it makes your hair very soft and shiny, just make sure to use as little as you can while still distributing it evenly throughout the hair! So right now I'm leaning towards a maybe for repurchasing. I'm not in love with it but I definitely don't dislike it.
