Foundations -Philosophy - Philosophy Supernatural 4 in 1 mineral makeup

This is my favorite mineral makeup out of those that I've tried, and I've repurchased it several times. Each one lasts me about a year, but I don't wear it every day. The sand shade is a perfect match for my skin, it's SUPER easy to apply and layers well-- I swipe all over and then tap on areas that need more coverage. Sometimes I even screw off the top and use a small brush to apply some directly to spots as a concealer. Also this doesn't appear to break me out and I've been using it since college. However, this makeup does have cons: 1. It's expensive. 2. If you carry it around a lot (like in a purse or something), the plastic top can crack or break! If this happens powder gets everywhere and it's impossible to fix. This happened to me a few times and I had to always leave it at home after that. 3. After a while, the applicator pad stops distributing the powder over your face evenly and needs to be changed. They do sell spares and a set of 3 lasts me the entire year. 4. My biggest gripe: It comes off your face easily, especially if you sweat or are really oily. I'd recommend a primer as a base and maybe even another translucent loose powder to help set it. Even with these cons, I'll keep buying this makeup for ease and speed of application and the fact that it matches my skintone exactly.
my friend with very sensitive skin gave me her tube of 0.1% cream because she couldn't use it. i've used it nightly with tea tree oil and it is fantastic! it hasn't made my skin worse at all. i get painful cystic acne and i've found that NOTHING is faster this stuff at clearing them up. even old acne that i've picked at and had to put neosporin on them to heal have gotten better faster. my face is softer, too. i have noticed that my face gets drier during the day, but i just use extra cetaphil cream and it takes care of it.
First--Their eyeshadows and finishing powders are the most finely milled powders I have ever seen. I will rebuy their finishing powders but not the foundation. Why? The color was a spot-on match for me (I'm asian), but I was dissatisfied with the coverage. It settles into lines and pores, and can look cake-y. I'm going to try Meow Cosmetics next.
This is a great everyday mascara--one of those "looks like me, but better" buys...Very pretty, easy to wash off, but doesn't smudge or rub away! Basically it has the wear of a waterproof mascara, but without the clumps and...you know, comes off with water. I was amazed. If it was more dramatic, I'd repurchase. You have to really work FAST with this one, so you can't layer it on for a more severe look. I'd recommend it if you have lighter lashes. If you already have black lashes (like I do), it isn't worth the $24.
Package is so cute, and after reading these reviews I really wanted to like this foundation, but I found it doesn't absorb well into my combination asian skin. I HAVE to exfoliate before I put this on or makes me look like a mummy! Also I'd like a foundation with heavier coverage, so maybe I'll cry their creme foundation after this. I'll finish my bottle but won't purchase again.
Lip Treatments -Fusion Beauty - LipFusion Lip Plumping Gloss

I got this as a free sample from my Sephora order. I have very dry, very chapped lips, and this is one of the only products I've used that actually moisturizes them and keeps them soft instead of just coating them with gunk! I was so excited, but at $40 a tube, there's no way I'd actually purchase this. I also don't notice any plumping effect. I love this lipgloss and will keep using it, but there's no way I'd go out and buy a tube unless it was heavily discounted. Minus 1 lippie for the price.
I really like this scrub. I have pimples but I've never found it to make my breakouts worse--in fact, it seems to make them more quickly (but then again, I hear that asian skin is known for its ability to stand up to all sorts of nasty treatments). I use this semi-daily (every other day?) and havn't had any problems with redness or irritation.
Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme

I wouldn't buy this but I do love it to the point where I always sniff the testers if I walk by them in a store :) The smell is absolutely amazing and it does soften my skin. However, it's very heavy and greasy, which is enough to keep me from buying it or even using it often.
I love this foundation. My friend who is super-pale bought it during a period where she had a dark tan for about two weeks, and after the tan faded she couldn't wear it anymore...Incidentally it matched my skin perfectly so I got to keep it! I love the bottle, I've dropped it from five feet onto asphalt without it breaking, and while it doesn't give lots of coverage it looks very natural. I havn't had problems with it washing off and while I have extremely acne-prone skin it hasn't broken me out at all in the 2 or 3 weeks I've used it. I don't put a lot on so I see this bottle lasting me a long time.
