Cleansers -Neutrogena - Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes

I used these wipes for the first time today after using the Neutrogena oil free makeup remover liquid in a bottle for the last couple of weeks. I like the idea behind this product and it did ok at removing my eye makeup but I had to use about 4 wipes in order to remove my waterproof mascara. After using these wipes my eyes and the whole area in which these wipes touched burned and stung like crazy. I had to rinse with cold water immediately to try to get the stinging and burning to subside. The burning and stinging didnt completely go away even now that its about 4 hours later. You probably shouldnt use these wipes if you have sensitive eyes. I also think that maybe it could eventually turn out to be expensive to use as there are only 25 in a package and since i used 4 to remove one application of makeup i would probably go through a whole box in less than 6 days especially if I remove eye makeup more than once in a day. I think I will stick to the oil free eye makeup remover in the bottle it lasts longer and works fine for me.

Eye Makeup Remover -Neutrogena - Oil Free eye makeup remover

I tried about 5 or 6 different eye makeup removers from oil of olay, clinique, remmil, revlon, etc. because not all would remove my waterproof mascara and or they burned or left horrible oil residue. This product didnt burn, took off the very thick waterproof mascara, and didnt leave a horrible oily residue. I have to say though, allthough it does remove the waterproof mascara it takes quite a few cotton balls to get mine off, and this one did the best job out of all of them. One bottle lasted me about 2 weeks maybe longer and with daily and sometimes 3x a day usage because i have been expeirmenting with eye makeup lately. Almost out and need to run out and buy more!

This product did feel nice going on eyes but didnt do anything special to my eyes. I didnt notice any decrease in puffiness or reduction of dark circles or anything else this product promises to help reduce. I have gone through a whole jar and think thats enough time for some magic if any was going to happen would but didnt. Dont waste your money on this one!

Foundations -Clinique - Dewy Smooth Anti-aging [DISCONTINUED]
isevilla 12/16/2008 8:48:00 PM
I purchased the Dewy Smooth # 06 Natural Warmth after being skin tested for it by a sales associate. I had been using Perfectly Real line and my skin was starting to dry out because of winter so I needed something more moist. This dewy smooth is very moist and feels really soft and moist when it comes in contact with my skin. I really like the feel of it and the color and coverage are awesome. I dont like the bottle as a nozzle type or tube would be much better just like the perfectly real line has. Im not sure about the anti-aging part of it though. on the bottle it says it anti-aging but I really dont know in what regard.

I have this foundation in shade #12 and I have to say that I really like the shade and the coverage. I was happy with it up until fall and winter came along I had to switch to another. For some reason my skin got drier and this foundation wasnt blending in well and left my skin looking really dry and blochy. I will use it again maybe when my skin is back to normal again in the spring.

Eye Primer -Clinique - Touch Base For Eyes
isevilla 12/16/2008 8:04:00 PM
Got dooped into buying this product because the brush on cream eye liner from clinique was smudging, creasing, etc. It didnt work any better than just applying a small amount of foundation and powder to my eyelid which is what I was originally doing. Havent had the problem of it drying out as I have only had it for a couple of days. Not worth the $14 at all and it will be going back to the store for a refund.

Skincare - Face -Clinique - Acne Solutions Line (all products)

Doesnt work any better than the regular 3 step system and also dries your skin out terribly. Used it for over 6 months and so did my son and we both experienced the same issues with overdrying and not being effective with our acne. Expensive compared to acne soap, # 3 toner, and moisterizing gel. Have since gone back to original 3 step regimine. Also, these products made it very hard for makup application as foundation wouldnt spread smoothly anymore. Will not purchase again.

Did not do much for my acne and really dried out my face. Went down to using it only at night because it dried out my face and didnt allow my foundation to be applied smoothly. I eventually stopped using it because it was more trouble that help for my face.

Eyeliner -Clinique - Brush-on cream liner in TRUE BLACK
isevilla 12/16/2008 7:39:00 PM
I really thought this liner was going to be great especially since it had a 5 star review on Clinique's web site but it wasnt. I had did some research on clinique's web site prior to purchase because I was looking for a product that didnt smudge, crease, give me racoon eyes, or was not comfortable for contact lens wearers. All the clinique reviews said it was lasting all day and it didnt smudge etc but that wasnt the case when I used it. I didnt even get around to using it more than once with my contacts on because it literally ran everywhere when I used my contact eye drops. This was my first time using this type of liner but not my first time in a liquid form. I had a hard time and still do applying it especially with the little brush it came with. I find it easier to do a thicker line than a thin one. It takes practice and sometimes takes quite a bit of time to apply. I apply the liner and allow it to dry and its very dark which i like a lot. Too bad it doesnt stay that way all day or even for 2 hours. I was applying this liner at 9am and by 11am I had a crease on my upper lid and lots of smudges underneath my eye. I never apply the liner underneath my eyes only on top by the way. So I thought my eye was too oily so I decreased the amount of moisterizer, foundation, and basically anything I would put on the upper and lower eye lids. It got to the point that I wouldnt have anything on at all and I still had the smudging and mess. I didnt even wear my contacts with this product more than once for fear of ruining the contacts so all my testing was done with no contacts on. So here I go online and chat with a clinique rep and she says oh you need the eye base and the finishing powder because your eyes are too oily. I then go to the clinique counter and was told the same thing. I spend another $14 for the eye base and another $20 on loose powder and tried again. Well after using the eye base and the powder before applying the liner I still had the problem of smudging, flaking, creasing, and racoon eyes in as little as 2 hours. So, I have come to the conclusion that this brush on liner is not waterproof, smudgeproof, etc. afterall and the reps want to sell you more stuff to get it to work out for you in turn giving them huge commissions. I will not purchase this item again along with other ones that didnt work and it has given me a distrust of the clinique name that I have trusted for years up until now. It will be going back for a refund.
