I bought this product due to all the great reviews and recs from skincare board, but this product did nothing for me. I have normal-combo skin with hormonal acne and clogged pores. I get an occasional pimple or zit a few times a month. I've used the sulfur on these occasional pimples & zits and it literally sits there and does not make it better or worse. I've left it overnight and still nothing. If I use it for a few nights consecutively, it dries out the skin, but the pimple or zit will still be there as a bump. Maybe my skin doesn't react to sulfur. Topicals don't do anything for hormonal acne, so I am not writing anything on how this product treats such acne.

Concealers -Maybelline - Dream Lumi Touch in Radiant

Let me start by saying I have very dark undereye circles and this product doesn't do a great job of covering them. For people like me, we need a corrector and a concealer. This product is a thin pink based corrector/highlighter and it doesn't cover much. It's great for brightening the under eye area though. This product is best for people who don't have very dark undereye circles. For me, I apply a corrector (Bobbi Brown), concealer, then this product and it brightens my undereye. The product itself doesn't last long even when set with powder. Halfway through my day, most of it is gone and I have to reapply. The packaging is inconvenient with the click-style and there is not much product in the pen. Eye Makeup Remover -Sonia Kashuk - Remove

I use waterproof mascara everyday due to being prone to smudging and I wear contacts. Literally every mascara smudges on me, so wearing a waterproof mascara and removing it at the end of the day are very familiar to me. I've tried several drugstore eye makeup removers and this one is my favorite. It literally melts off waterproof mascara and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. I've tried eye makeup removers that claim they remove waterproof eye makeup without rubbing or tugging and this one definitely does not require any rubbing or tugging. I just apply a couple dabs onto a cotton ball, apply to my closed eye, wait 10 seconds and my eye makeup is off. No stinging, burning, or foggy eyes. The only drawback is that it's drying. I wish this product came in a smaller bottle because the 4 ounce bottle isn't convenient for traveling. Loose Powders -Ben Nye - Bella Luxury Powder: Banana (formerly known as Visage Poudre Luxury Powder)

Let me start off by saying I have VERY yellow skin (Asian) and I've never found a powder yellow enough to match my undertones. I tried this powder due to all the talk on the makeup board and after using it for a couple months, I love it and will never use another powder. I'm NC25 on MAC's coloring system and this powder blends in great and I don't look like I'm wearing a shade that doesn't match my actual skin tone. A drawback is that this powder looks cakey of you use too much, but what doesn't? I sprinkle a bit of powder on the back of my hand, dip a powder brush in it, then apply onto my face. A plus is that it's so cheap. I ordered from a reputable seller on eBay. Got a 1.5oz container for $10. Ingredients: Talc, Rice Starch, Zinc Stearate, Iron Oxide, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Fragrance

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush

I don't get the hype with this blush. It is a pretty color, but its so shimmery and breaks many people out (many people in skin board broke out from it). Sad because nars makes some pretty blush colors.

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

I don't understand all the hype with this product. The packaging is great, but the product itself sank into every fine line and pore on my face and made them SO noticeable. I'm in my mid-20s, chemically exfoliate every day, wear sunscreen every day, have normal-combo skin, I moisturize AM and PM, so there should be no reason for me to have noticeable lines. I used the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to lightly apply this foundation and it didn't even sink into my skin. It just sat on top and accentuated every fine line and pore. At first I thought it was maybe the way I applied it, so I tried it a second time the next day. I used my fingers instead and it ended up looking the same way on my face. I'm not sure how other people got this foundation to look good on them, but if I'm doing something wrong, please PM me.

I LOVE the finish of this product. It literally sinks right into the skin and looks like I'm not even wearing foundation. However, like other reviewers have stated, the shade range for this product is so unfortunate. I'm NC25 with strong yellow Asian undertones and there is no color match for me, so I will not repurchase. But if you can find a color match, this foundation will be perfection. Gives medium coverage, leaves a slightly dewy look. Does not look cakey at all. The bottle is so sleek and gorgeous. I wish they would make this product in more shades because I would love this product forever.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Telescopic

I don't get how this mascara was so great for some people. The brush itself was so awkward for me. It doesn't even have bristles to comb through the lashes. It's a weird, 4-pointed plastic thing that just has mascara sticking on it. When I first applied this, it made all my lashes stick together to create about 4 lashes :-/ So then I used a tissue to wipe off some of the excess mascara before I applied it to my lashes and it was slightly better. It still clumped my lashes together and I had to run a lash comb through. Maybe I just don't have the technique right for this brush, but I thought this product was one of the worst mascaras I've ever tried.

Conditioner -Joico - Moisture Recovery

I love joico products! I use this in conjunction with the conditioner and it seriously transforms my hair every time I use it. I have coarse, damaged, color treated hair that's dry, so moisture is very important for it. I always notice a difference after I use these two products. Scent is clean and not overpowering. I think this shampoo by itself is average, but paired with the conditioner makes it a fantastic combo. Ever since I started used joico products, I get so much more compliments on my hair. It definitely doesn't look as dry and it feels a lot smoother.

I love this shade, just wish it didn't have the frost. It's a peach/coral/pink with a bit of shimmer. Very flattering, but the shimmer dates it. If anybody knows this shade without the frost, please PM me! Also dislike how MAC lipsticks are drying.

Cleansers -DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil

Wow, I don't know why it took me so long to try this, but I'm glad I finally did. This product is very expensive, but it's totally worth it, in my opinion. I bought it from dermstore (not affiliated!) and you get 10% off if it's on your favorites list. This product looks straight up like olive oil in the bottle, but whatever they add to the olive oil makes it emulsify and cleanse the skin as it's massaged into the skin. I wear waterproof mascara everyday since non-waterproof always smudges on me and oil is the only thing that will quickly and easily remove it. I've tried mineral oil but that gave my a stye and broke my skin out pretty badly, but this cleansing oil is perfection. I use 2 pumps massaged into my face and eyes closed, then splash water and massage some more, then rinse with water. My face is completely clean of all makeup afterwards. I use a different cleanser after the cleansing oil, but that's just because the oil leaves a tad bit of moisture on my skin and I don't like the feeling of what it leaves behind. Of course I do moisturize my skin after cleansing though.

Meh. This product was overhyped in my opinion. For reference, I'm NC25, strong yellow undertones, Asian skin. First, I don't like the packaging for this product as it looks cheap with the shiny fake gold container. Second, there was too much shimmer in it for me to like it. I have other blushes that have shimmer in it and I love them, but this one just looked odd on me. I didn't like the shade of the blush itself, it was just a peach/pink/blah color and didn't do much for me. I have other pink/peach blushes that I like more. This blush might be better on somebody else. I used it once and haven't reached for it again.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner in Blackest Black

I bought this product in hopes that it would be similar to bobbi brown's gel liner and it is. I'm cheap and don't want to spend the high price on BB, so I decided to try this and I'm in love with it. Even the brush that comes with it is great. I have Asian monolids, every mascara and eyeliner always smudges on me and I always find myself with smudges throughout the day. With this gel liner, it stays on from 7am to 10pm. I've even gone to the gym and exercised with this on. I love it. This is definitely comparable to bobbi brown gel liner, in my opinion and I love that it's way cheaper. I bought this from rite-aid in a buy 1 get 1 50% off sale, so I also have it in black. I wear the espresso for a daytime look and use black for nighttime. I don't know how long the little pot will last til it dries out, but so far I've had it for 2 months and it's still good as new. Will definitely buy this again.
