BB Cream -L'Oreal - Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream
rated 2 of 5
infusion77 5/18/2013 5:06:00 AM

I thought I liked this and it was the first BB cream I tried. I bought the second lightest shade even though I wanted to get the lightest shade. My friend and the Walgreens makeup lady told me to get this one. It is really too dark for me, but I thought it might work if I got in the sun a little. However, today I wore this after not using it for a week or so and I looked pretty bad, and I'm not talking about the too dark-orange tint even (which is pretty bad) . I sometimes forget what people mean when they talk about oxidizing. I looked so weird and horrible by the middle of the day that I decided I cannot wear it anymore. It's a little too runny and one of the 3 BB creams I own (if not all of them) have made my pores look so bad. I am having slight cystic acne which is rare for me... even using foundation does not do this to me. I wanted to get on this BB cream bandwagon, but I think I am officially completely freaked out by them. Nice try L'oreal but nope.

Cleansers -Almay - Make up remover towelettes
rated 3 of 5
infusion77 6/24/2011 2:08:00 AM

I usually trust Almay b/c it's supposed to be good for sensitive eyes/skin. These do burn my skin and actually irritated a small rash that had pretty much gone away. They take makeup off, but not as good as other towelettes I have tried. Also leave my skin greasy and I do wash afterwards. My package was closed and the I noticed my counter was wet underneath the package. I think the package has some kind of leaking or something, although I have not quite pinpointed how this is happening. I think the flap on top is already losing it's stick so I'm sure they could dry out easily. I think Almay could do much better.

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
rated 1 of 5
infusion77 2/25/2011 6:23:00 AM

I do not understand the positive reviews for this product. I have tried several primers and this is the worst. I have delicate fine skin. I read in a magazine that this under your concealer made a perfect crease free eye. I was sold and bought it that week. It is really thick and doesnt seem to blend easily. If I have to tug and pull at the thin skin under my eye then it is not worth it. Also, it did nothing for my makeup. It actually seemed to make the makeup look cakey. The container is less than ideal too. I prefer a pump or tube. In conclusion, I hated this product and will be giving it away.

Concealers -Cover Girl - fresh complexion concealer
rated 3 of 5
infusion77 2/3/2011 9:13:00 PM

I like this concealer. It's not the greatest, but I've spent a LOT more money on concealers that either make what your trying to cover up more noticeable or they just don't conceal that great. I bought my 2nd tube today, even though as another said, it lasts forever. I like the consistency b/c my skin is very delicate and I don't want to have to rub my skin to blend it in. My biggest complaint is that the top of the wand broke when I was screwing it back on. Even though that happened on my first tube I bought another b/c of the great value. Also, it doesn't break me out when I use it. I use it under my eyes, on blemishes, and redness between my nose and mouth. It may not conceal undereye circles the best, but I have never found a product that did to be honest. I have dark allergy shiners as they call them. It runs in my family, but concealer is the one product I can't live without. Overall, it's not the very best, but it's pretty good for drugstore makeup especially for $5.49.

Mascara -Sephora - Volume Mascara
rated 4 of 5

I got this in the free birthday gift kit and was actually surprised by it. I don't know how much the retail is, but I am still using the sample and put other mascaras aside. Granted I usually buy drugstore brands, but this flakes less and doesn't clump as much as others I have tried. Considering I expected it to be garbage b/c it was free, I am very impressed and will consider buying in the future.

Treatments (Eye) -Mary Kay - TimeWise Age Fighting Eye Cream
rated 3 of 5
infusion77 9/12/2010 10:04:00 PM

I have been using this product for years although I'm not quite sure why. I think b/c in my twenties it worked ok. I wasn't having too many under eye issues other than circles and morning puffiness. Now I have very dry, delicate under eye skin and lines are really starting to form. After the tube I'm using now I will be looking for something that lives up to the "age-fighting" claim.... or at least helps to hydrate better. My eyes chaffe a lot under makeup and feel so dry, so this has done apparently nothing for me in all these years.

Treatments -Olay - Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum - Fragrance Free
rated 4 of 5
infusion77 9/12/2010 9:54:00 PM

This product has actually help smooth out the texture of my skin. I use it mostly during the day before my moisturizer. I loved that it is fragrance free and how reasonably priced it is. I am 33 and really beginning to notice that my skin is changing. I try a lot of products and many of the more expensive serums have been either too highly fragranced or greasy. This seems just about right.

Treatments -Boots - No 7 Intensive Line Filler
rated 3 of 5
infusion77 9/12/2010 9:47:00 PM

I am very self conscious of the lines around my mouth so I thought I'd give this product a try. I think it actually has softened those lines and I use it under my eyes and I think I see results... It took a few days of using to see results and I sometimes wonder if it's really working. I think it is, but for 17.99 it should have something more to help boost collagen and actually help fight wrinkles while it softens.

Tinted Moisturizer -Boots - No7 Soft and Sheer Tinted Moisturiser
rated 3 of 5
infusion77 9/12/2010 9:37:00 PM

I wanted to like this tinted moisturizer b/c Boots is a decent brand and the price was right. The main problem I have is that it is very orange. I bought it in Fair, but it is very orange. I don't know any fair skinned people who have orange undertones. Also, I'm pretty sure it makes me look worse than when I'm wearing no makeup. I'll keep searching for the perfect tinted moisturizer.

Concealers -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector SPF 25 in Fair 05
rated 2 of 5
infusion77 9/12/2010 9:29:00 PM

I bought this on a whim b/c it was on sale. I bought it mostly for under my eyes, but I have used for the lines around my mouth and nose. I am really unimpressed. Considering I have found decent and cheap drugstore concealers, this is a total disappointment! I do not like the texture. It's very thick and a little hard to blend in. It also makes my makeup brushes sticky when I use them to try and blend it in. I thought I was immediately going to return it and then I keep giving it another chance thinking maybe this time it will be better, but I am very disappointed. It also seems to cake up in creases and looks patchy. I am surprised it has recieved so many good reviews, but if I can find the package it came in I'm returning it.

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Revitalift Radiant Smoothing Cream Cleanser
rated 4 of 5
infusion77 6/26/2010 3:51:00 PM

I have been looking for the perfect cleanser for my 33 year old skin. I have oily skin, but I am beginning to get some smile lines and lines around my eyes. It's hard to find a cleanser that can help your oily breakout prone skin while protecting your delicate skin from aging. I bought this not thinking I would like it, but I do. Most cleansers make my skin either feel dry, don't clean enough, or leave my skin feeling unbalanced. I had been using Mary Kay Timewise facewash for years and have been trying more expensive brands from Sephora. I thought I'd give a drugstore brand a chance and I'm glad I did. This cleanser actually has improved the clarity of my face and makes it feel very refreshed and balanced. I think it is a little heavy on the fragrance (I prefer fragrance free or lightly fragranced products). However, I can live with this. I know the cleanser will last forever because a tiny bit foams up easily. The fact that a little goes a long way and for the price which is about $8 (plus I had a coupon), I can definitely recommend this facewash! Bottom line is I'm glad I tried this product. I will probably try others on my quest for the perfect face wash, but this is very good.

Cleansers -Revlon - Makeup Remover Towelettes
rated 2 of 5
infusion77 6/4/2010 4:34:00 AM

I assume like a few other reviewer's that these were discontinued for quality issues. I also got them on last chance at Walgreens and so the price was $3.50 or so... Just used them for the 1st time and none of my makeup came off. I tried using 2 and had to be too rough on my skin and eyes to get my mascara off. It burned my eyes as well. They say you don't need to rinse, but I think my eyes would appreciate it if I did. I have been wanting to try some of these new makeup towelettes, but looks like I picked the wrong brand to try. I am hoping the other brands out there are not this bad.

Makeup Brushes -Sephora - Foundation Brush
rated 2 of 5
infusion77 3/24/2010 2:10:00 AM

I bought this because the woman at Sephora recommended it to me. I have taken very good care of this brush, cleaning regularly and air drying it at a tilt as I was instructed. However, the bristles have all separated and it does nothing to make my makeup look better. It leaves makeup looking streaky because of the crazy separation of the brush. I have only had it a couple months and use it only a few times a week if that. I wish I could return it. It was my first foundation brush and I know there have to be better ones out there. Very disappointed that I spent so much on something so worthless!

Tinted Moisturizer -Smashbox - Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
rated 3 of 5
infusion77 3/24/2010 1:54:00 AM

I want to like this product. I bought it in Luminous and it does do a nice job of quickly moisturizing and making my skin look better than no makeup would. Good for getting ready quickly in the morning. However, it immediately makes my nose shiny and feel oily. I am surprised at how few people have had this problem. I also think it may be clogging my pores. All of the sudden since I have been using this regularly I have had a lot of blackheads. I think it's an okay product, but I will probably not buy again.

Conditioner -Pureology - Volume Conditioner
rated 2 of 5
infusion77 9/16/2009 2:20:00 AM

This is the worst conditioner I have tried. I had damaged hair due to to medications and illness. My hair was not doing well at all. My stylist swears by this stuff, but it does nothing for my hair. Usually conditioner makes your hair feel softer, smoother, and just better. This conditioner made my hair hard to brush (and my hair is short), frizzy, and lifeless. I now use Joico Moisture Recovery and my hair is back to normal and very healthy again. Too bad I have huge bottles of this shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is okay, but not the conditioner.
