Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF15

After I ran out of my Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (which I love), I decided to buy this Cetaphil moisturizer since it was way cheaper and it also has spf 15 which was better than my Clinique lotion since it didn't have any sun protection. I really love how smooth the application of the moisturizer was on my face similar to how the Clinique moisturizer feels. This product didn't break me out or irritate my skin in any way and I have combination skin. I felt like this moisturizer did make my skin feel smoother which was why I wanted it, but like all the reviewers said, this product creates a slightly greasy look on your face. On the package it says it has a non-greasy formula, which I don't think is true. I never really noticed how my face had a shine to my face after applying this moisturizer until I took my id picture and my face looked shiny/greasy. Basically, I will not be repurchasing this moisturizer since it gives my face a shiny finish, which I don't like. Maybe this product will be better for someone with dry skin, but not sensitive skin? Pro: light weight, smooth application, has some spf, moisturizing, lasts a long time Con: makes a greasy finish on face, not high enough spf

Treatments -Clean & Clear - Persagel 10
rated 4 of 5

As a girl who is constantly plagued by acne, cystic acne, pimples, etc, you name it, it is very handy to have my Clean and Clear Persa Gel 10 around. I must have purchased around 5-6 bottles of this cream since I began breaking out in my teenage years (about 6 years ago). So let me just say this product is a lifesaver. First of all, this is not a miracle product and I never really found a product that would give me instant results in healing my blemishes, but this product will heal your blemishes with time. Trust me, I use to wish that I can just put a bit of this cream at night and wake up with no acne in the morning, but it doesn’t work like that. Most of the time, this cream would just dry out my acne and make the blemish appear less red on the first night of applying this cream. I found that this cream would probably heal regular acne within 2-5 days. With cystic acne it takes much longer, and would take around 2 weeks to completely heal the acne. With pimples, I would say the cream heals it around a week to two weeks depending on whether you were able to pop the pimple or not. When I say heal, I mean that there is no longer a bump, bright red, and painful spot on your face so that your skin would be flat again with no redness. I have combination skin and I never broken out from this product. I regularly put this cream on my blemishes at night before I sleep. I’m surprised that my skin didn’t get immune to this product since I use it on a daily basis. I also like how this product comes out in a white cream color, but if you blend it into your blemish it turns clear and you can’t see the cream on your face. I wouldn’t recommend doing this, but sometimes if I have a horrible breakout, I would just apply this cream during the day. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone who suffers from acne. Just give it a try and don’t give up if there aren’t miraculous results on the first day of usage. You will notice a difference in your skin if you continue to use this product. P.S. Remember to put sunscreen on your face during the day if you use this product at night. This product makes the skin more sensitive to light so apply that sunscreen!

Eyeliner -MAC - Liquidlast Liner - Point Black
rated 4 of 5
ilovelucy7 12/10/2011 4:44:00 AM

Before I begin my review, I just want to let you guys know that I have Asian hooded eyes, which means that I do have an eyelid, but it very tiny, and not always visible, since the top of my crease covers the lid most of the time. So for any one out there, that has similar eyes to mines, this review might be more helpful than for those with different eye shapes. Now that that’s done…… I Freaking love this black liquid eyeliner!!! Before I found this eyeliner, I tried so many different eyeliners- Loreal Lineur Intense, Wet and wild Gel Eyeliner, Wet and wild H20 eyeliner, Milani eye Tech, Black Radiance, Urban Decay 24/7 pencil eyeliner, MUFE pencil Eyeliner, but not a single eyeliner would stay on my Asian eyelid for longer than 2-3 hours. I was about to give up hope on ever wearing eyeliner since all the eyeliners I have would either smudge on my eyelids or they would crease and fall out. I would rather not wear any eyeliner than to wear eyeliner and have panda eyes. So one day I decided to go to Mac and dish out 17 bucks for their liquid eyeliner in point black. I mean if all fails, go to MAC right? And I think this has to be the best makeup decision I ever made. The first time I tried this eyeliner, I didn’t like the brush applicator. It was tiny and so much harder to control than say like the Loreal Lineur Intense which has a felt tip applicator. But none of that even matters since I finally found a liquid eyeliner that would stay on my Asian eyelid. This eyeliner lasts forever. I would say it stays on for around 12 hours or more with no creasing and smudging. Sometimes, I would sleep with my eyeliner on and wake up and see that most of the eyeliner is still on my eyelid except for the tiny bit on the inner corner of my eye. This eyeliner would stay on during showers and would not melt off in high temperatures. The color of the eyeliner is super dark black and comes out in a matte black finish. Also, this eyeliner dries quickly when first applied which might be a problem for some people, but it works fine for me. This bottle of eyeliner may look small( about the size of my middle finger), but the amount of product seems to be never ending. I brought my liquid eyeliner around 6 months ago and I have been using it on and off and there is still a lot of product left in the container. To all the Asians with hooded eyelids out there who might be looking for a long wearing and smudge proof eyeliner, this is the eyeliner to get! I swear this eyeliner would stay on your eyelid forever. I know 17 bucks for an eyeliner is really expensive, but trust me it is worth it. The only complaint I have about this product is that the brush makes it harder to apply the eyeliner but I find that I could easily use a Q-tip and my Ponds makeup remover to fix my mistakes. Gotta work with what you got, you know? Also, I would give this product five stars if only the applicator was just like the slanted felt tip applicator of the Loreal Lineur Intense. But overall, I love this product for having amazing staying power and I think you would like it too. ;) P.S. Not sure why it says discontinued in the title. Mac still sells this eyeliner online.

Eyeliner -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Mat Black 0L
rated 1 of 5

Before I begin my review, I just want to let you guys know that I have Asian hooded eyes, which means that I do have an eyelid, but it very tiny, and not always visible, since the top of my crease covers the lid most of the time. So for any one out there, that has similar eyes to mines, this review might be more helpful than for those with different eye shapes. I brought my Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner pencil in Mat Black back when they were selling this in a small kit along with their makeup remover. I'm not a huge fan of pencil eyeliners just because I like my eyeliner to come out in a defined line. But I only have one word for this eyeliner and that is it sucks! The only positive aspect of this eyeliner is that it is very easy to apply. The color comes out smoothly, but on the other hand the color is not really rich and dark enough for my liking. It comes out in more of a gray-black color rather than in a rich black color, which means I have to go over the line multiple of times in order to achieve a darker color. Also, this eyeliner does not stay long on my hooded eyelid. Within a hour, the eyeliner is already smudged on the top of my crease. In about four hours, most of the eyeliner has disappeared from my eyelid and been transferred to my crease, giving me a panda eye look- not cute. There is barely any black color left on my lid. Some of it even smudged on the bottom of my eye. I am very disappointed in this product since it is a product from a high quality makeup brand and is way overpriced, which is why I expected it to have long staying power and to be smudge proof. None of those claims were true from my experience wearing this eyeliner. To all the Asians with hooded eyelids out there who might be looking for a long wearing and smudge proof eyeliner, save your money and don't buy this eyeliner. I been trying this eyeliner out a couple times already, and all the times this eyeliner has smudged on my crease and the color does not last on my eyelid. I wish that this product worked for me, but sadly this eyeliner does not work for my eye. P.S. I tried this eyeliner again, but this time on my waterline/lower lash line. Same results as before. The eyeliner would smear within two hours and within four hours, hello panda eyes. I tried this eyeliner by setting it with eyeshadow also and it would not stay on.

Treatments -Sally Hansen - Kwik off nailpolish remover
rated 4 of 5
ilovelucy7 8/17/2011 4:37:00 AM

This product is perfect for LAZY people like me! So if you are lazy, listen up! This is the second time I brought this product because it works amazing. All you have to do is stick your finger into any of the three slits in the sponge that is soaked with alcohol and then twist/twirl it around and all your nail polish comes off! This product is very easy to use since all you have to do is twist your finger around the sponge for your nail polish to come off, but the only downside is that this remover is not the best for darker nail polish. When you remove your darker nail polish in the sponge, it gets dirty and leaves a bit of the dark color on your finger when you are twirling it. But for me I would designate one of the little slits in the sponge just for my dark polish and then use that to get rid of my dark polish first, then go to a different slit in the sponge to get rid of the dark color that might have been left on my finger from twisting in the slit before. And for me, this product does not dry out my skin, my skin still feels smooth and gentle after sticking it into the sponge. Overall, I would never switch back to cotton balls and alcohol since it takes longer to remove my polish. I love my Sally Hansen Kwik off nail polish remover because it is such a simple/ quick product for getting rid of nail polish.

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque
rated 5 of 5
ilovelucy7 8/9/2011 4:12:00 PM

This is my very first review and I just have to do this on my Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. Before I start, I want to tell you about my skin. I have combination skin( oily tzone and dry cheeks) and I used to have really horrible acne, pimples, zits, everything on mostly my tzone. But after a while they cleared up, but there is still an occasion outbreak of acne or pimples usually around my period and also a few acne/pimples that just won't go away. But this product totally changed my skin. I noticed after using the masque for the first time for like 4 times in a week, all my acne/pimple disappeared. I finally had clear skin except for a bit of blackheads, but there was no bumps on my forehead or anywhere on my nose. When I brought this, I never thought much about whether it will work or not, but after I tried it, it really does work. I use this product on alternating days, and still have not broken out from it. There is no trace of acne/pimple/ zits on my skin after using this. Even when my period comes around, my skin stays clear, which is like a miracle since I always break out around my period. The only thing I will have to say is that I don't really notice much of an effect on my blackheads around my nose. But I don't really care because all acne/pimple cleared up. I have tried countless acne scrubs, creams, 3 step system, but this masque was the product that cleared my skin up in a short period of time. Also, this product is super cheap- around $4 at Bed Bath and Beyond. I never thought that my skin will be completely clear, but this product has done just that. Please go and buy this product and try it, especially if you lost hope on other acne/skin products. If this product worked for all my ugly acne/pimples, this might work for you too.
