Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Moisture SPF 35
iloveMnMs 4/12/2012 8:10:00 PM
A below-average moisturizer in a thin formula. Doesn't provide much moisturization--if your skin is a bit dry or tight, it will remain so after application. If this was marketed as an SPF product, I wouldn't mind, but it is marketed as a moisturizer! Doesn't leave me shiny or greasy, but I do look a tad bit 'dewy'. (I am reviewing this in spring, it is possible that I will be shinier in the summer months.) Don't touch your face any time during the day and then your eyes, or they will burn a bit. That tells me that this will not hold up to any sweating without killing your eyes. I do like the pump dispenser, and especially that it can easily be locked, but I will not buy again.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
iloveMnMs 3/31/2011 8:04:00 PM
This was very disappointing. It seems like so many people rave about this, but I don't find it moisturizing at all. What I do love is the cooling effect you get when it is applied. After that, it's just blah. Definitely not worth the money.

Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Simply Signature Shower Gel in Linen
iloveMnMs 1/16/2011 6:54:00 PM
I really like clean scents in the shower. I also loved the 'Fresh Linen' scented candles when BBW used to carry the White Barn candles. So I tried this, not positive I would like the scent in the shower. I LOVE it! And then I learn it's been discontinued. (The Simply Signature line [Pear, Linen, Passionfruit, Tangerine and Coconut] was introduced in mid-2010, but it was already discontinued before Christmas!) The scent is clean and fresh and the gel gives lots of foam. What a shame. Regular price: US $10.50 for 10 oz. (but I got it 50% off)

Lip Treatments -Blistex - Complete Moisture Lip Balm
iloveMnMs 12/5/2010 7:56:00 AM
This lip balm has such a unique texture when you apply it. It really feels moist and cool going on. Not so waxy. I think the appearance of moisture is greater than the actual moisturizing ability, if that makes sense, but it does moisturize OK. Sort of an orange-cream scent/taste. Not my fave. If it was unscented, I'd consider a repurchase.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - The Giving Earth Ultra Moisturizing Coconut Milk lip balm
iloveMnMs 12/5/2010 7:08:00 AM
Wow, what an amazing lip balm. Super creamy, super smooth, lasts a really long time, and gives lips a nice bit of shine, but not too glossy. Coconut fragrance -- although I am not a fan of coconut, this is mild and nice. Not a suntan oil type scent. Outperforms all my other lip balms by a mile. It's made with 85% shea butter! Although I am a lip balm addict, I tend to go for the cheapo lip balms, because I tend to lose them often. This was given to me as a gift. It's 100% organic, vegan, and not something I would have ever bought on my own. (Especially in coconut.) But WOW! I need to find more scents/flavors, but this appears to be hard to find.

Lip Treatments -Chapstick - Lip Moisturizer SPF 15 Original Flavor
iloveMnMs 12/3/2010 8:21:00 PM
This is my favorite chapstick, and one of my favorite lip balms. It's my normal go-to lip balm. I'll try other balms (I'm a freak about trying them all!), but good old moisturizing chapstick never fails me. Nice smooth, creamy texture that lasts. Not waxy like original chapstick. It doesn't really give any shine, but a moistness look to lips. I have one in every coat, purse, etc! Stays soft when left in a cold car in winter. US$2.99 for a three-pack.

Conditioner -Suave - Professionals Sleek Conditioner
iloveMnMs 12/3/2010 7:56:00 PM
A fine basic conditioner. I don't think it really it makes my somewhat wavy hair any more "sleek" or smooth when I blow dry. Fine scent, easily rinses clean, the consistency is a bit thinner than I expected. Basic moisturizing, nothing else.

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Advantage Acne Cleanser
iloveMnMs 12/3/2010 7:52:00 PM
I bought this when I couldn't find my normal Clean&Clear cleanser. It's nothing special. I thought it was a bit runny. The scent is way too strong, and I personally don't find it very pleasant. US $5.97 for 5 oz in WalMart.

Cleansers -Clearasil - Daily Face Wash
iloveMnMs 12/3/2010 7:43:00 PM
A fine basic cleanser, but nothing special. I bought this when I couldn't find my usual cleanser. I like the thick texture, and I only need a little bit to get a nice lather. Leaves your skin squeaky clean. I think it's a bit drying for the winter months, but would probably be fine in the summer. It has a mild "fresh" scent in the bottle, but for some reason, I don't like the scent when in the shower. $3.97 for 6.5 oz in WalMart.

Treatments -Garnier - Fructis 3 Minute Undo Dryness Reversal Treatment Triple Nutritrion
iloveMnMs 12/11/2009 10:23:00 AM
Wow, what a disappointment. Wish I had read the ingredients in the store. The main oil in this is actually *mineral oil*...the same main ingredient found in Aquaphor healing ointment!! No wonder I had problems rinsing it out! They market this as having an extra-rich texture, but I found it to seem just like any other conditioner. Except for the apricot seeds, of course. I just had a problem with feeling little seeds in my hair as I conditioned. I really don't see why they added those. Over a short time, this really built up on my hair, weighing it down and making it look greasy. A week of clarifying shampoo and it still wasn't all gone. Don't waste your money. (US $4.99 for 8 oz.)

Powder -Clinique - Almost Powder Makeup SPF 15
iloveMnMs 12/8/2009 9:26:00 PM
I've had this for a few months now but I only use it occasionally. I just don't like it and can't figure out how to use it to get the results everyone raves about. On me it just looks chalky, no matter how little I apply it, or whatever I use to apply it. I have the 02 neutral Fair (VF/MF), which is almost a perfect color match for me. I will update (and add a lippie!) if I ever figure it out.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Baked
iloveMnMs 12/8/2009 9:11:00 PM
This is my first Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner purchase. Now I know what everyone was talking about! It really is super creamy and glides right on with no tugging! I've never seen a pencil so effortless. I almost think it is too soft. Unfortunately, the color is definitely not for me. Too metallic for me at 40, and too light. I never expected the latter because I have very fair skin, but the gold/orange/copper (whatever!) color doesn't really show up much on me. I really like bronzes, this was too light--not enough brown (if that makes sense). It makes Bobbi Brown's "Bronze Shimmer" gel liner look super tame! It's going back. Too bad I won't get to see whether it wears all day on me. Oh well.

Sunscreen -Coppertone - NutraShield Dual Defense 70+SPF
iloveMnMs 7/10/2009 9:13:00 AM
IMO, this sunscreen is bogus. The ingredient list/formula is EXACTLY the same as the Coppertone Sport version and the Water Babies version (both also SPF 70). There is nothing new or unique about this product. Just a repackaging of an old formula. I own Coppertone Sport version, too, and there is NO difference between them when on my face/body. Also, this product is *identical* to the NutraShield Face version--don't waste your money buying a smaller tube! The formula itself: Blends in easily with no white cast. Leaves face very shiny--maybe glossy?-- (at least if you try to apply anywhere near the required 1/4 tsp!). Stings my eyes with moderate sweating. Fine to use up for arms/body, although I do seem to get little pimples/bumps on my arms. I won't buy again. US $9.99 for 6 oz.

Top/Base Coats -Orly - ToeCoat
iloveMnMs 6/18/2009 8:24:00 AM
I’m surprised there hasn’t been a review of this yet? ToeCoat is marketed as a base & top coat in one product. I absolutely *love* this for my pedicures. One coat as base, 2 coats of my fav polish, and 1 coat as topcoat, and my pedicure wears like iron. No chips or noticeable wear after 2 weeks, and I usually have problems getting polish to last a week. This leaves my pedi super-duper shiny like I just did it for 2 full weeks! (At that point I get bored and change my polish--which I hate to do because my polish still looks perfect.) Great product.

Styling Products -John Frieda - Heat Defeat
iloveMnMs 6/12/2009 10:57:00 AM
I bought this before there were any reviews--maybe I should have waited. I am so glad that there are reviews now, and that I agree with them!! This product is terrible! It really does make hair stiffer, sort of crunchy. It makes blowing dry and straightening even more of a chore. It was harder to comb through my hair when dry, like there is more resistance, almost stickiness. It didn't "flow", if that makes any sense. What a waste of money. US $5.39 for 6 oz.
