Blush -Chanel - Joues Contraste Powder Blush
ihraracerkim 5/19/2013 4:58:00 PM
I've been buying these Chanel blushes since the 80's. Just purchased Frivole today and love it!!! Not at all as orange on the cheeks as it looks in the pan. Just a peachy, summer shade that makes my skin look bright and fresh. Looks great with my red hair and makes my dark blue eyes really pop!!! Ladies, these blushes are hard milled and last forever so, therefore, worth the steep price as they last twice as long as most other blushes I've used!!! I have 6 of them. No fading either. Lasts all day!!! Give Joues Contraste blushes a try, you might never go back to other brands ;)

Mascara -Chanel - Le Volume De Chanel
ihraracerkim 1/28/2013 6:07:00 PM
Just got this today from Nordstrom, free shipping :) Had to try it right away!!! Love it!!! Very nice consistency, not too wet or dry. The color is extremely black, which I really like as it really emphasizes my long, but sparse lashes. First coat added extreme length and definition. 2nd more and 3rd, length, definition, volume and obvious curl. Still curled several hours later!!! Some have compared this to Lancome's Hypnose Drama. I have used and loved that mascara as well, but I find it not as deep black, not as lengthening or does it hold a curl on me like Le Volume De Chanel. Lancome mascaras have always been one of my favorites, but in lieu of the fact that Lancôme has raised it's mascara prices to $27.00, I'll be buying this Chanel mascara as it is only $3.00 more. Will update later if there are any changes note worthy in my opinion of this product.

Primer/ Corrector -MAC - Prep + Prime Skin Smoother

Best primer ever for drier, mature skin types. Fills in fine lines especially under my eyes. Concealer under eyes does not crease with this gem :) Will definitely repurchase!!!

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 182 Buffer Brush
ihraracerkim 9/4/2012 8:27:00 PM
Just got this brush for applying my MSF foundation and buffing! Works great! No shedding ;) However, I do wash my new brushes with baby shampoo and did experience the dye running out that other reviewers have mentioned. No biggie, a lot of goat hair brushes are dyed and eventually will stop bleeding. That is my experience with other Mac brushes that I have owned for 15-20 years. I'll put up with a little dye bleeding the first few washing for a quality brush that will last 20 years and got my monies worth ;)

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 214 short shader brush
ihraracerkim 9/4/2012 8:15:00 PM
Just got this brush today for Smoking out my eye pencils. I have to agree with the other reviewers that it was very stiff and scratchy feeling on my eye lids while trying to blend out my penciled line. I proceeded to wash it with baby shampoo. End of problem!!! It is now 50% softer......perfect!!! I'd recommend this brush to anyone for the Smoky eye look ;)

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Lip Perfection
ihraracerkim 1/14/2012 6:45:00 PM
Love this lipstick!!! Beautiful shades, long lasting, non-drying. I like the stain it leaves as it wears off!!! Less re-application ;) For those of you who have trouble removing, dual phase eye makeup remover or cleansing oil does the trick for me. My 2 favorite shades are: Rush (MLBB) with Buxom Dolly l/g and Fervor, brightens my complexion and looks great with my red hair. I like the tubes as you can see the color on the bottom. Helps when you have 4 tubes ;)

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Pure & Free Liquid Daily Sunblock, SPF 50
ihraracerkim 6/1/2011 10:52:00 PM
I used this product for the first time last Sunday when I was boating all day. It did protect my face from any burning or tanning. However, when I used my usual DHC oil cleanser followed with my usual cleanser, I noticed pimples which I rarely get. So, didn't work for me. I'll stick to my usual DHC White Sunscreen. It says it's only a spf of 25, yet there is 5% titanium dioxide and 10% zinc oxide, much higher than the Neutrogena!

Powder -Clinique - Superbalanced powder makeup (spf 15) [DISCONTINUED]
ihraracerkim 5/27/2011 7:25:00 PM
Just bought this this morning and have to say "I lOVE IT" Had been using BE original and tried a couple others as well. The BE orig. was getting to shiny for me to deal with in my T-zone and their Matte formula is too powdery and doesn't cover as well in the area that I need it too. This Super balanced powder makeup (spf 15) is perfect! Sort of in the middle. Not too shiny and not too matte. I find this to be very build able wear I need it to be. Covers all that I want covered and sheerer on places like wrinkles that I do not want to accentuate. So, I'm really happy with the look it gives me and only touched up my T-zone once. Some people complain about the price, but you get a lot more product than most other brands and I like the delivery system. So, it's very comparable IMO. Not using the brush for initial application though. Ok for touch ups, but I used Sephora's mineral powder brush # 45 for the places I need more coverage and their Powder # 50 all over. Perfect and you don't have to use a finishing powder either which I like! Saves time ;)

Skincare - Face -Clinique - 3 Step System
ihraracerkim 5/24/2011 1:12:00 AM
I think Clinique 3 step gets a bad rap!!! Especially with the new clarifying lotion formulas, serums and custom to your needs moisturizers. I worked for Clinique in the 90's and the line has come a long way believe me since I worked for them. When this product line fails, it's only because you have a SA who goes by the book. With Clinique products you must customize to your skin's seasonal needs to get the best results. If you have extra dry skin in the winter, use all 3 step extra mild products even if you were skin typed to be a #2. Then in the summer use all # 2 products. Or if you are skin type 3 or 4 yet have extremely sensitive skin, use all #1 3 step products. You will still be thoroughly cleansing your skin. Just "Always" remove your make up and sunscreen with a make up remover first before using their soaps as their soaps "Will Not" remove make up and SS's properly!!! With Clinique, one size does not fit all. Customize their products and see how affective, simple and reasonably priced this line can be! And no, I no longer work for the company, but am thrilled with their new formulations and how well they are working on my skin! And at my age, I need all the help I can get as a result of my past sins LOL ;)

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose Drama
ihraracerkim 9/27/2009 11:29:00 PM
I've always been a Lancome mascara fan! Love Definicils and Hypnose. They perform well with no flaking or smudging and remove easily with bi-phase removers like Bi-facils. I use Wal-Mart's Equate brand which is a dead ringer for Bi-facils, but costs $4! This new Hypnose Drama IMO is incredible! It gives you any look you could want!!! One coat gives evenly coated, long, dark and natural looking lashes. The trick to this mascara giving you thick, false eyelash looks is waiting a few seconds in between coats. If you're in a hurry, I'd suggest using the old Hypnose. But, If you have a couple extra minutes to spend on your mascara application I'd have to say this stuff is amazing. @ 57 yrs. old my lashes have thinned out, but this mascara takes my lashes back to my younger days. I've gotten many compliments already wearing this. I'd give Hypnose Drama 6 lippies if I could!!!

Eye Makeup Remover -Neutrogena - Oil Free eye makeup remover
ihraracerkim 8/31/2009 8:59:00 PM
I have faithfully used Bifacils for years, but trying to save money, I tried this brand and it works just as well for a fraction of the price. And FYI Ladies..... When I went to purchase this product @ WalMart last month I saw that they had an Equate version even cheaper!!! It works just as well for a little over 4 bucks!!! Now I can save my money to buy my Chanel and Lancome mascaras!
