Ok, I don't know if I just bought a bad one, but this did not taste like anything. Not only that, but it also has little gritty white things in there. I also wish the packaging was in a pot like lush's lip scrubs, which would make this soo much easier to open and use. The tin this comes in is not the easiest to open especially since it contains greasy product. All that aside, this lip balm is great at moisturizing. this thing stays on for hours and when its gone, my lips feel soo soft. It's the best lip balm I've ever used, and not that expensive for about $7.
this is one of those fragrances you either love or hate. at first, it smelled to me like coca cola, but then i realized it's more lemongrassy, with some pine and citrus, it reminds me a bit of the smell of a christmas tree...with more citrus. i had an indian friend say that the scent smelled very similar to the incense they burn in temples. what i love about solid perfumes is that the smell doesn't get everywhere like with spritzing. after it melts on your skin, the fragrance turns warmer, like piney orange. the only thing is that the it fades in an hour or so, so if you want something long lasting, i really wouldn't get the solid form. also, the smell is pretty subtle, not overpowering.
Cleansers -St. Ives - Apricot Face Wash -- Blemish and Blackhead Control

I got this for my blackheads on my nose, and i honestly didn't notice much difference (so instead i just started using oil blotting paper, which worked) but then i started developing acne from stress, and i found that this calmed down my skin. while not making my acne disappear overnight, which i didnt expect, when used periodically, this does reduce acne over time. i have combination-oily skin, and after using this, my skin feels slightly dry even though it has a creamy texture along with the gritty bits, so i just slather on moisturizer after. but my face feels very fresh and feels like my pores were cleared out. NOTE: read the drug info at the back of the bottle/pot!! don't use this every day, your skin still needs its natural protective layer of skin and oil. and the acne treatment is salicylic acid, which is a widely used mild acne treatment
Lip Treatments -eos - Smooth Sphere Organic Lip Balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew

I actually really like this lip balm. the round shape is pretty unique and allows for easy and quick application. the formula is moisturizing, not as moisturizing as burts bees or blistex, but it's fine, just a little waxy...the packaging is neat, but its kind of large and excessive for the amount of product you get. and i don't know how many times i play catch with it and drop it, but this thing is indestructible, the lid didnt even pop off. but if i put it in my backpack, little bits of lint or watever get on the screw on the lid. overall, its a good everyday lip balm for average hydrating. o and the taste has some honeydew mellony taste, just a little sweeter (dont know what honeydew tastes like soo) and it doesnt smell much like anything.
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
ihartchanel 4/22/2012 10:11:00 PM
i first got this as a sample from my dad, and i was pretty impressed with how moisturizing it was without clogging my pores. i have combination skin that changes from oily to dry depending on the weather, so its annoying to change my routine so much, as my skin is sometimes unpredictable. but with this, i can layer as much as i want without it clogging my pores like la mere. the only drawback is that it leaves kind of a powdery-greasy-feeling texture on my skin afterwards, but it doesnt irritate my skin or anything so it's fine. i've also noticed a reduction of acne scars and breakouts from stress and hormones.
this is my first clinique mascara, and i was really excited to try it out, but it turned out to be kind of a dud. the formula was on the wet side, so it took about three coats to have a decent effect. it also didnt give me much volume, it just defined my lashes and lengthened them a bit. by the end of the day, i have a noticeable case of raccoon eyes (which has never happened before for me) and a bit of flaking, . the only reason i gave this a three was because the brush separated my lashes well and the formula gave me a nice eye-opening curl without an eyelash curler.
Eye Shadow -Clinique - Color Surge Duo in Strawberry Fudge

I really like these colors, the light pink has a lot of light gold shimmer, and the bronze has a reddish brown glow. they're really flattering for my medium skin tone and i especially like to wear the pink as a bottom lid liner for an awake look, and the bronze on my lid looks kinda smoky. however, they don't really last a long time and tend to fade a bit and crease at the corner of my lids (most shadows do anyway so that doesnt bother me too much). i also have to apply these with my fingers because when i use the sponge applicator and brush, the colors turn out too sheer for some reason.
This is probably the best drug-store mascara I've ever used. It lengthens well, it's long-lasting, and I really think the formula helped make my lashes stronger. The brush is really impressive, the tip is perfect for short bottom lashes, and the bristles have a good amount of product on them. True, it does clump a bit if you're not careful, and it does flake after some time, but this is really a good lengthening mascara overall. It also doesn't dry out as fast as most other mascaras, i've had this for about 3months now, and it's still almost as moist as when I first bought it.
Lip Gloss -Clinique - Long Last Glosswear Fireberry

Pros: great color for my warm skin tone, sheer color, very long lasting, spf 15, fragrance free, nice container, nice patent shine, not very expensive ($15) Cons: sticky, not very moisturizing
Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara Waterproof
ihartchanel 12/25/2011 6:30:00 PM
this product goes for about $7 at target. the mascara wand, first of all, is great (some people prefer plastic wands, but this is more original and easier for me to use), except it doesnt deposit as much product as i like, but it separates lashes well, and i wish all mascaras have this kind of wand. the product is lightweight, and doesn't dry hard, it actually kinda feels and looks like i don't have anything on. it does flake a bit after a while, but just a tiny bit. it's also very layer-able, it can go up to four layers. it's also pretty waterproof, but honestly, there's no mascara that you can wear while swimming, cause of the chlorine (ya i've tried) overall,
Eye Shadow -Shiseido - Hydro-Powder Eye Shadow in H2 / Whitelights
ihartchanel 12/25/2011 6:15:00 PM
this is great. it's lightweight, very glittery, you can adjust pigmentation, creamy, and long wearing. when you apply it, it has a very light and cool feeling to it. and the application sponge it comes with is also pretty good for using the product. but the glitter can get around a tiny bit after it dries, but it's really not a problem. and u can not only wear it as eyeshadow, but you can also use a bit on your chest, or cheeks, or whatever...
i was looking around for a concealer to cover minor blemishes and such, so i picked this up in medium beige at target for $4.99. i thought it was pretty great at first, then i noticed a while after application, it settled into creases. it's pretty darn bad. i also noticed it has a really unnatural-looking powdery look that just would not blend in. and the packaging really pissed me off, just really weird and flimsy. would not repurchase definitely.
i've heard great things about this liner, so i got this in black for about $8 at target. it is definitely waterproof and long-lasting and it applies on nice and smoothly. my problem with it is that it's not really pigmented enough, and i would layer it on some more, but then i twisted it all the way up, i saw that it only had about an inch (and a half maybe) of product in it. so i figured for about half the price, i could get a lot more from a normal pencil, so don't fall for the no more sharpening hype!! and btw u still need to sharpen this anyway hence the tiny little plastic thing at the end, wasting more product....not worth the money and only giving it a 4 cause the product is not bad - kinda OK NEVERMIND...IT BROKE. IT JUST SNAPPED OFF AT THE BASE. SECOND TIME USING IT. AND TARGET DOESNT ALLOW RETURNS ON OPENED BEAUTY PRODUCTS....now im pissed...there goes $8
ok, maybe this was my fault, but when i bought this, i twisted it and tried to twist it back in, but it didnt go back, so i used my finger to try to push it back in and it just crumbled up. so after i cleaned it up and actually used it, it still did not impress me. it was too thick and soft to make precise and thinner lines, but it lasted all day even though i got it in a metallic color (made of steel). not worth the price $7 something @ target. will be returning it
