Foundations -Laura Mercier - Moisture Supreme Foundation

In the UK LM is running a sample campaign so I did not waste £33.00 on this foundation. If you do have dry skin look elsewhere. I tried the sample for a few days and really, is it for dry skins???? It looks very heavy (medium coverage), it oxidises, the colours are off and clearly it is not aimed to dry skins. I am sooooo pleased I did not purchase this product. I mmmuuucccchhh prefer GA LSF, which interestingly enough is oil free and delivers soooo much better than this!!! If you have dry skin just keep on looking, this is not moisturising and it has far too much coverage.
I usually use Giorgio Armani Eyes to kill (which is my HG) and I made the mistake to buy something different when GA reached its expiration date! I watched a review by Goss Makeup artist on You Tube and he was raving about the mascara by Givenchy. I went to the counter and bought it. What a mistake! It makes my lashes spidery, it clumps them together and makes a real mess. It is worse than drug store mascaras (Max Factor is ssooo much better). I hope it will dry out soon! Would not repurchase, much ado about nothing.
I wanted to try a light foundation that did not contain alcohol (unlike Vitalumiere Aqua and Dior Nude). I am very pale and Givenchy is one of the few brands that has pale foundations. I use Light Porcelain and it is a good match for my NC15/NC20 complexion. However, it does not have any staying power: it disappears after half an hour! I find the sponge applicator useless and not helpful. I manage to get the product out without using the hidieous sponge applicator. The tube is made of plastic. Overall a miss for me (It is drier than a TM and has slightly more coverage). 2 lippies as they do a good range for pale gals. But the product is really not worth £30.50
I tried a sample and I have been using this EDT for a few days. It is the perfect summer scent: it smells of citron, orange blosson and a touch of bitter almond. Most importantly it is not sickening sweet. Due to be a light summer scent the staying power is very limited so you have to reapply during the da. The scenty is not structured, it is very basic and overpriced (hence 2 lippies). Not worth the money.
Treatments -Christian Dior - Dior Abricot Creme for Nails

HG product. I have been buying tons of oils (including solar oil that does not do anything for me), creams, potions to tame my cuticules with little or no results. Then I bumped into this amazing pot. The product is contained in a pretty white pot with CD engraved on it A little product is required for all the nails of my hands and feet. I rub it in before going to bed and I wake up with the most amazing moisturised cuticules. No more expensive manicures required as I can now easily maintain my hands and feet. The scent is barely noticeable and not annoying. The pot costs £18 (not cheap) but lasts months. And most of all delivers. I have re-discovered Dior products recently and they are truly another league, from eyeshadows, to foundations to blushes. really impressed.
I tried a sample of this parfume, and I have used it for a few days. I really do not like it. It is too flowery and sweet; Italian mandarin, patchouli (blahhhh) and egyptian jasmine. It is a very boring mixture, it does not have anything original. Luckily the staying power is inexistend and the nasty smell disappears after a few hours. Woud definetely not buying this.

This quintet is great but a little bit too shimmery- not glittery (forget NARS disco ball effect). The texture os silky and the colours very natural and wearable. Perfect for a day look which can be transformed into an evening look. The browns are warm and the white works perfectly as a highlighter on the inner corner of the eyes. Even if I am warm toned this cool tone quintet works amazingly. Not too convinced with the the white, which is is very tacky. Texture is amazing and packaging very sleek.

Very nice foundation that imparts a light yet buildable coverage. It does not look cakey. When I apply it, it looks very luminous. However it oxidises sligthly (without getting orange). The pump makes it easy to dispense the right amount of product, it looks classy and a little goes a long way. I apply it either with my fingers or with a foundation brush. the colour range is very poor. I use n. 200 and it is the exact copy of Nars Sheer Glow in Gobi (n. 100 is too pinkish). These two foundations are copycat, with the difference that Nars is more expensive and does not have a pump and Dior is much more moisturising (perfect for my dry skin). The staying power is OKish (it disappears after 6 hours, but I have never found a foundation that truly lasts all day). 4 lippies for the oxidisation and limited colour range. Otherwise, great foundation. Much better than Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, which is outrageoulsy expensive, smells terribly and is not moisturising.

HG material!! This is the perfect "healthy glow" peachy colour for uber pale gals. I am Nc15/20 and most blushes look too bright on me. I wanted something peachy and nars orgasm does not work for me at all. This is perfect! The powder is amazing, silky and not cakey. Excellent staying power, it has a nice sheen (not a shimmer) that imparts an amazing glow. The product contains two shades that can be mixed together. Really impressed by this product and by Dior make up. A winner! My search for the perfect blush is finally over.

Beautyful quintet: very nice and classy colours for a daily office look. The powder is velvety and goes on very easily. The colours are not too pigmented and add a beautiful wash of colour. The 5 colours can be used alone or in different combinations (there is a leaflet that explains how to make the best out of the palette). The central brown is matte whilst the warm brown, golden peach, pinky stone, coppery gold are slightly shimmery (not glittery). If you are looking for a superpigmented shocking colour this is not for you. But if you want a very classy and good quality powder this is the choice. I prefer this palette to Chanel Kaska Beige, but i think Giorgio Armani makes much better make up. The price is steep (£40) but you get 5 colours, beautiful packaging with mirror and it lasts for ages. Love it paired with my dior addict lipstic in nude 333. Would not repurchase as I do not use 2 of the colours in the quintet.
This is the lipstick I have been looking for for ages! An everyday nude (I bought 333 - nude) that does not make me look dead. I am very pale NC15 and nudes do not get on very well with me. This is the exception: the colour is a flesh pinky/beige that brights up my face. Very moisturising. Much better than Chanel that, compared to this, is rubbish! No scent and no taste. It goes with natural day look and with evenung smokey eyes. Not too sparkly or gloopy. Perfect. Highly recommended = this is a review of the new version with the silver packaging
Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Micheal Van Clarke 3 more inches conditioner
ibrusat 8/8/2011 12:00:00 PM
This conditioner is part of the 3 steps process developed by Michael Van Clarke. The 3 more inches products do not have silicone or parabens and leave hair silky, glossy and healthy. It contains cashmire proteins that help hair grow healty and strong. It does not have any scent (and I absolutely love it for that!) and it is very moisturising, without weighting my hair down. I use it afetr the shampoo or, when I use the prewash, in addition to it and the shampoo. The results are phenomenal, if used with the other two products. However, if I use it only with the shampoo the results are average and as it is not cheap at £17.00 for 250ml I expect much more. This is a miss. I will try Gielly Green products to see if the conditioner works better.
Excellent product! I use it with the 3 more inches shampoo and the conditioner. It is a pre-wash treatment that can be left on dry hair for 1 hour or, for a more intense effect, all night. It has to be used every other wash. Follow with the shampoo and conditioner of the same line (if you use silicone based products the hair cannot absorb the pre wash treatment). It reparis hair like no other product! No silicone or parabens, it leaves hair soft, shiny and glossy for days. As there is no silicone my hair is never dull and not weighted down. It comes in a bottle of 500ml and a pump. The hair must be covered in product (It takes a few pumps if you have long hair). I leave it overnight and wash it off with 3 more inches shampoo, followed by the conditioner. No more bad hair days! I am surpirsed this product is not widely reviewed and known, it is really excellent!

I have used Kerastase for ages and sometimes I like to try something different. Usually I am disappointed and go back to Kerastase (which is getting increasingly expensive). Michael Van Clarke has recently launched a 3 steps method that helps keeping your hair in shape. No silicone or nasties, it leaves my hair shiny and soft. The line includes a pre-wash (to leave overnight every other wash) a shampoo and a conditioner. I cannot comment on whether my hair is longer or not, but my hair do look in much better shape. The product does not have any scent (which is a big plus for me as I tend to dislike scents in shampoos as they linger forever), is moderately thick and a little goes a long way. If I use the three products together the results are spectacular, but if I use only the shampoo and the conditioner the results are average (not bad but not great). i want to try the Gielly Green products, aromatherapy at its best.
This is a pleasant moisturising cream with SPF20. I have very dry skin and it works for me in the summer (up to 25C degrees). It has a very mild scent, it is easy to blend and does not leave a white ghostly film on my face (I am NC15 so I am very pale and any white product goes unnoticed o me). It does not contain any antioxidants or any active ingrdients therefore I will not repurchase. It would not be suitable at all in winter as my skin is too dry.
