Moisturizers -Merlot - Moonlight Radiance Natural Grape Seed Night Cream
rated 4 of 5
iamgrape1119 2/4/2009 11:21:00 PM

Price: $20 for 4 oz Where to get it: Walgreens, its website What it claims: Merlot's Night Cream combines natural grape seed antioxidants with powerful peptides to fight free radicals, boost skin tone, and increase skin thickness. Formula locks in moisture to keep skin feeling hydrated and healthy. --Visibly reduce and reverse deep lines and wrinkles --Promotes thicker skin and better skin tone --Helps promote collagen formation and skin elasticity What it is: It's a white cream that's made from grape seeds. It is a lot thicker than the day cream, which is understandable, since it's more moisturizing. The price is slightly higher due to the higher concentration of the grape seed antioxidants. What I like about it: --my skin literally GLOWS in the morning after I used it at night --Enough moisture for most ppl. --Doesn't clog my pores/cause pimples --my skin seems firmer afterward --Again, the scent is amazing! What I don't like about it: --Not moisturizing enough during winter for some. --Again, the packaging.

Moisturizers -Merlot - Merlot Facial Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
iamgrape1119 2/4/2009 11:19:00 PM

Price: $14 for 4 oz Where can you get it: Walgreens, its website What it claims:Creme de Vin is made of natural red grape seeds polyphenols. It offers sensational antioxidant properties thereby helping to inhibit the aging process. What it is: It's a light lavender colored moisturizer that's made from grape seeds. It's a very liquidy lotion that goes on very "wet" and gets absorbed instantly. What I like about it: --It's very moisturizing, and the moisturizing property lasts a long time --It feels very light on, not like you are wearing moisturizer, but your skin just feels soft and supple --it's oil free --it doesn't clog pores (on me) --the SCENT!! It's so amazing! It's very refreshing. --you get a lot of bang for your buck. --It's fast absorbing, so you don't have to wait a long time to put on makeup --SPF! Hello? What I don't like about it: --The packaging is kinda ugly in my opinion. It's too simple. --It comes in a jar so you have to dip your finger in it, which is not the most sanitary thing. --It might be hard to find for those of you that are NOT in the US. --It's not moisturizing enough for gals with extremely dry skin in the winter.

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Egyptian Magic Healing Cream
rated 5 of 5
iamgrape1119 2/4/2009 11:16:00 PM

Price: $25-$35 depending on where you buy it from Where can I buy it?: online or big health food stores Ingredients (This is the best part!): Olive oil, Beeswax, honey, Pollen, Royal Jelly, and propolis extract Claims:"...used as an anti aging rejuvenation to maintin radiant, healthy, smooth and glowing skin." Packaging: It's in a very plain jar. It's simple but a little unsanitary since you have to dig your finger in. Texture: When you first touch it, it seems like vaseline, but it melts on contact and turns into oil. Pros: --Extremely moisturizing. I couldn't stop touching my face in the morning! --All natural ingredients. --Even though it's $$ at first, one little 4oz jar will last you a LONG time! --I can see that my scars had faded quite a bit in the 3 weeks time. --Works on all skin types. YES, even oily skin! --It doesn't break me out or clog my pores. --It evens out my skintone. Cons: --The intial cost. --The stupid jar! Even though this is how they allow you to control the amount you needed. --When you firt put it on, it's really oily. It takes about 30 minutes to sink in, which is why I recommend to only use this at night. However, your skin will be unbelievably soft afterwards.

Liquid -Maybelline - Dream Liquid Mousse
rated 1 of 5
iamgrape1119 2/4/2009 11:13:00 PM

Price: $8-10 each depending on where you get it, I got 2 for $9.59 when they were BOGO at Walgreens. Packaging: Love it! It's in a glass bottle and the color of the label is kinda beige, so I think it's classy looking. It also comes with a pump, and we all know how much we love pumps! It keeps everything so sanitary. Texture: It's a relatively solid liquid foundation (does that make sense?). It's not as liquidly as, let's say, Revlon Colorstay. It's pretty thick, so I use a MAC 187 to apply this. Pros: --Very moisturizing --Medium Coverage, could apply to get better coverage --Matte Finish (initially) --Great packaging --The color match is amazing. I got Nude (Light 2-3?) and it was PERFECT! --The price is great, especially when they are BOGO Cons: --Caused MASSIVE breakouts!! My poor skin was just recovering from my previous breakouts and you gave me NEW ones?!! WHYYYYY!!!!!! --It lasted about 30 minutes on me WITH SETTING POWDER. --It made me super duper oily, and I have DRY skin! WTF? --It gets on EVERYTHING it touches. I don't mind it fading, everything fades eventually, but this is too much. It got on my BF's shirt after we hug, it got on my finger which transferred to my paper, it got on my clothes, EVERYTHING!! ARRRG! Final Verdict: Oh, HELL NO!! Never again! I returned the ones I got and I rarely do that. The best thing I love about this is the packaging and how well it matched my skin. However, the 5-10 giant un-popable pimples I got from using this made me depressed. Now I have MORE scars to deal with, awesome! If you have normal-oily skin, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AT ALL! Stay as far from this as possible! You WILL become an oil slick. Try this at your own risk.

Bronzers -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish - So Ceylon [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
iamgrape1119 10/21/2008 3:57:00 PM

I put yes for Rebuy, but honestly, I don't know. I love the color of So Ceylon when I swatched it on my hand, so tan and soft and glowy. However, on my NC 30 skin (NC 27 to be exact), it looks a little too orange. On people with darker complexion, this would've been perfection, just think LC's glow from the Hills. I promise I will find a way to make it work though, I'm sure this is a GORGEOUS e/s.

Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle
rated 5 of 5
iamgrape1119 10/21/2008 3:53:00 PM

Oh, soft and gentle, how I love thee! You are so glowy and buttery soft. It feels like a dream when I put you on with my MAC 187, and there you go, working your magic. You make complete strangers compliment my "Glow from within". I love you. Even though stupid MAC raised the price of MSF to $25, I will still buy you, again and again. You are not like Lightscapade, which casts whitish chalk-like sheen to my face, you are like a pinker/cooker version of Shimpagne. And the best part is: YOU ARE PERMANENT, so I don't have you hunt you down on ebay!! I love you~

Blush -Cargo - Blush Laguna
rated 5 of 5
iamgrape1119 1/8/2007 10:55:00 PM

OH MY GOD! This is totally HG item! I'm a fan of bright colored blushes and this is IT! It looks shockingly neon orange in the pan and goes on very pigmented. However with a light hand and a skunk brush, it appears very light on the face and gives the illusion that you've got a good night sleep. I usually use this after a night of intense cramming before an exam or when I want people to compliment on my "complextion". the price is not that bad when you think about it: Nars cost $25 for 4.5g, and Cargo cost $24 for 8.9g, that's almost double the amount of Nars products. I'll DEF rebuy if I ran out of it.

iamgrape1119 1/3/2006 10:19:00 PM

I LOVE THIS! It is sooooooo gorgeous. it's a really shimmery pink w/ a strong gold undertone. I love to use it as eyeshadow and blush to brighten my face. However, I suggest using this on top of a matte lippie then add gloss b/c in that way it looks less frosty.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Acid Orange (Pro Pigment)
rated 3 of 5
iamgrape1119 1/3/2006 10:08:00 PM

1st of all, I LOVED the color. It's really bright and (if applied w/ a light hand) really natural. I love to use it on my cheeks for that healthy glow and on my lips b/c it gives me the sexiest pout ever! However, 2 lippies off for the steep price and inconvenient packaging. Would not rebuy b/c this bottle would last me FOREVER!

Blush -NARS - Gilda
rated 5 of 5
iamgrape1119 11/27/2005 1:55:00 PM

I LOVE THIS! it's my HG blush. It's bright orange/coral, makes my cheeks look really healthy and glowy. When applied with a light hand, I got compliments nonstop. Although it's pricy and the packaging sucks b/c it gets dirty looking after like a week, I would still repurchase it as long as they make it.

Blush -NARS - Taos
rated 4 of 5
iamgrape1119 11/27/2005 1:53:00 PM

I bought this because it has my name... but ended up LOVING it. It's extremely bright in the pan, and goes on really pigmented. It's a bright dusty rose w/ tiny gold felcks. It promises me to have a glowy face whenever I wear it. Althought Nars' blushes are pricy, one would last you FOREVER.
