I heard rave reviews from youtube gurus and decided that I must try this. I thought this product felt great on and it gave good coverage. Although I feel like I have to use quite alot compared to my estee lauder double coverage powder and bare minerals. I feel this is great as a setting powder but I don't think it would have great coverage on its on compared to other powders I have used before. It didn't break me out and it helped out with my oil. It looks natural on my skin unlike bare minerals I feel it has help out with my skin. My skin has been looking clearer and less breakouts. I would definitely repurchase.
This product really surprised me. I never really believed the whole white foundation would blend to your true colors. It actually works. This foundation is a very light foundation that gives enough coverage. I would describe it more as a tinted moisturizer without the moisturizer texture. It melts into your skin very quickly but it was easy to blend. I do use concealer and powder on top of this and it works great. It is great for everyday and it definitely did not break me out. It controls oil relatively ok. I do get oily by the end of the day but what normal foundation doesn't. It does get a little darker looking later, maybe my skin just oxidizes it but it doesn't turn into an orange color. I definitely like it. And also the great thing is that you don't need a lot to cover your whole face. I have really bad skin and when I don't wear any face makeup, people will notice because my acne scars really stand out. This definitely helps it but it doesn't cover everything. I would say it will give a natural look and it so lightweight!
I finally decided that i should try a drugstore moisturizer because I was broke. For any skincare I am a big supporter of department brands because it deals with the skin. But this time I decided to take a risk. I read some reviews online and decided to give this a try. First off, the spf was a must in looking for a moisturizer. I love that this had that. A lot of drugstore moisturizers don't have this and so I disregard those. What I really like about this moisturizer is that it didn't break me out at all! I am very acne-prone so anything that doesn't work well for skin will break me out like crazy. This does not do that at all. Second I need a moisturizer that would help with my oily skin. I noticed that this moisturizer didn't make me oily and it also was not drying. Perfect combo. I love this moisturizer. I love how cheap it is and I really believe it is as good as department brands. I think I will buy this again and highly recommend this moisturizer. One thing I do want to point out is that I don't really see a "morning glow" from a moisturizer. It does what a moisturizer usually does but I didn't see any great difference.
Eyeliner -Physicians Formula - Eye Definer Felt-Tip Eye Marker
i2ismartazzi2i 8/16/2010 4:25:00 AM
I decided to try this because it was on sale. I was pleasantly surprised the first week I use it. It was easy to apply and the color was amazing. The tip was very hard but nothing I can't work with. However after two weeks of using it, the tip became unbearably harder to work with and then after a couple of days, it dried out! The color was barely visible. I had to throw it away. It was a waste of my money.
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner
i2ismartazzi2i 8/16/2010 4:22:00 AM
I LOVE THIS EYELINER! I don't think I will buy any other liquid eyeliner again. I love the application. The color is so dark which is amazing. The felt tip applicator makes it so easy to apply. When I am in a rush in the morning, I can apply this and won't make any mistakes. It is easy to take off at night with eye makeup remover and I doesn't smudge that easily. I'm so glad I found a drugstore liquid eyeliner that is my HG. I will always buy this again and again and again.
Powder -Estee Lauder - Double Matte Oil-Control Pressed Powder
i2ismartazzi2i 8/16/2010 4:19:00 AM
I have tried the original one, the non-matte one, and I loved it! I loved the coverage and the texture of it but the only downside of it was that through out the day, it made my skin very oily, more oily than other powder that i have used but also didn't love because the coverage was not that great. The powder I used before my was HG but I had to buy other products to use under it to control my oil. I figure that with this new powder i would found my new fav since the oil will be control. Well....it did control my oil but not in a good way. The coverage was the same which was great! And it didn't make my skin oily, but it was super drying and super cakey. It made me look older and it was so dull. The texture is so dry that applying it was not that great. Though my skin wasn't oily, it made it look bad and obvious that I was wearing makeup. I would definitely prefer the original one much better. I will not recommend this for others and I would not repurchase.
Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Anti-Redness Primer
i2ismartazzi2i 8/16/2010 4:14:00 AM
This primer is very liquidy. It runs a lot and I try to apply it as fast as possible because it dries really fast. The first time I used it I just applied it on my red spots on my skin since I do have bad acne. But then it didn't really make the redness away too much. i now use it all over my face just to use it up. I can't tell if it keeps my make up on that well because though out the day I have to blot my face with a tissue because it doesn't do that well with oil control. I do have oily skin so doing that isn't out of the ordinary. But through out the years I have found primers that would control my oil really well. This primer did that do that for me. I will not repurchase.
Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
i2ismartazzi2i 8/16/2010 4:09:00 AM
I hate the packaging for this. It is so difficult to get the product especially when it is at the end of your use and also if you have long nails, it gets under you nail. I don't like this primer. I was hoping to find a drugstore primer that would work wonders but I am sad it doesn't. Though out the day, I don't think it makes my foundation or blush stay on longer. It is as if I didn't use a primer at all. It doesn't make my skin oily which is a plus, but I don't think it is worth the cost. I got my primer for $13 which I think is too expensive for a drugstore product. I definitely prefer my Mac prep and prime or bare escentuals prime time. The texture is also weird. It feels really really heavy on the skin when I apply it and it is so thick that it is really hard to spread through out the skin. I won't repurchase and I would recommend something else as a primer.
Bronzers -Stila - Stila Sun SPF 15 Bronzing Powder - Shade 02
i2ismartazzi2i 8/16/2010 4:04:00 AM
This is my favorite bronzer! I got this at sephora for really cheap. The texture is so fine and it blends really well. I am a light medium skin tone and I got shade 02. At first I thought it might be too dark for my skin tone but it was just perfect. I think the fact that it is not too pigmented and even with a heavy hand, you can apply this bronzer without it looking too muddy. I love this tone and it doesn't make you skin look very dirty. I have been using it everyday and I still haven't hit pan yet. I love the compact as well and the fact that it is not a glittery bronzer makes it very natural on the skin. I am very happy with this bronzer and I recommend it to those who have a light to medium skin tone. Those who have dark skin tone, I don't think this will show up on your skin that well. I will definitely repurchase.
I think this product is ok. I would not buy it again. I have a light medium skin tone and when I want to go out for the night and want a dramatic blush look, I go for this blush. It is very close to a cranberry color and it is very pigmented. I think it would look great on darker skin tones, but not just mine. I didn't really put it on at first when I bought it and it was so pretty just as it is because it is shimmy and colorful. It is a good blush but not just for me. For those with a lighter skin tone, I would suggest a very light hand when using this blush and for those who are darker skin tone, this blush is for you!
I love this color. I have a light medium skin tone and it works for my skin tone so well. I love the baby doll look and this blush does the trick. I don't think it will work on all skin tone but it does on most. Especially since it is a sheertone, you can't really mess it up just because it goes on really light and you can just build up the color. It does take a while to make the color really pop, but even with a light hand it can look great. I just prefer it to show more on my skin. I have been using it everyday now just because it is easy to put on and can't really mess it up too much. It is light enough that it goes with almost anything. I will definitely repurchase and this is one of my favorite blushes. If you are look for a flushed, baby doll like color, this is the one for you!
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Pink Grapefruit Body Splash
i2ismartazzi2i 4/14/2010 7:12:00 AM
I love bath and body works. I love love the country apple and I love just fruity smell. I always loved citrusy scents but I never really bought anything for my body in that scent. So i figured to give this a try when I saw it on sale. I liked it but I feel that spraying it all over my body is a little too much. I feel this scent is great to smell it like for a short period of time but not for a long time. However if you like that, then this is perfect for you. It definitely is true to the scent of grapefruit.
This product really worked! I didn't write a review until I have tried it for awhile. It works amazing on open pimples (ones that are almost bleeding and red) even though it says it works best on cystic/whiteheads. I put a blob on the really big ones and the next day it looks almost completely flat. If I have a new break out, it would be gone in two days. However, there would still be a dark mark left, it will be just flat so it would be easily covered by foundation and looks natural. I would definitely repurchase. I think I might try the whitening mask so that would help get rid of the dark marks.
I got this eyeshadow because it was on sale at Sephora and I know now why it was on sale. The color is pretty, just a basic gold. Not a champagne gold but gold gold. The color is pretty but the texture is awful. And from what I read, I am not the only one. I don't know if it is a nars eyeshadow thing because this is the only nars eyeshadow that I own, but it is very powdery and the pigmentation was alright. Not the best. I will not repurchase,
I am mostly commenting on this product not because of the wear or the texture of this gloss. It is a good gloss, but not something that I haven't seen in other glosses. But I love love this color. It is this nude golden shimmery gloss that looks good with almost anything. I tend to use it with dark brown lipsticks because it tones down the drama a little which I like. This gloss is great for everyday and i find it to be very pigmented for a gloss. I looks great alone as well. Right now my favorite thing to do with this gloss is layer it over orange/coral lipstick. I have this really extreme coral lipstick that can look sort of orange and I regret buying it because it is not a color I can wear everyday. But layered with this gloss came out to be a very wearable peachy coral color. I love it, and I highly recommend this gloss. I find that the color is beautiful and it looks good over any color lipstick.
