Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips lip balm in Pink Punch

I watch beauty videos on YouTube and Baby Lips was all the rage, so I wanted to try it for myself. I was skeptical because I didn't believe that a product that was so inexpensive could work so well. I was wrong. After using this product, I would definitely recommend it to everyone. It made my lips SO soft, and keeps them soft, not to mention it smells amazing!! :)
Treatments -Matrix - Biolage - Fortifying Leave-In Treatment

I have thick hair that is just past my shoulders. I'm not very nice to my hair (lol), I flat iron it almost daily, dye/highlight it often, etc. The Biolage Leave-In Treatment makes my hair feel like there is NO heat or coloring damage at all. It makes my hair SO silky, soft, and shiny. This is one of my favorite leave-in products and I will be using this for a very long time!
St. Ives Naturally Indulgent Body Lotion with Coconut Milk & Orchid Extract is one of my favorite lotions. I've used a LOT of different lotions, and I can tell you that this is a quality lotion that is comparable to high-end lotions that are 5x the price. Not only does it smell amazing, it is also extremely moisturizing. A lot of lotions that smell good have too much perfume in them and actually end up drying your skin. This lotion smells wonderful and hydrates your skin at the same time. I put this lotion on my whole body after every shower and I've been complimented on how soft my skin is. Living in Chicago, during the winter my skin used to be extremely dry and sometimes crack. Since I've been using this lotion, I never have that problem anymore. It's a non-greasy lotion and it dries super quick. An added bonus: it's free of parabens and phthalates. You can't beat the price; try it for yourself and you'll see what I'm talking about!!
I use Citre Shine Mist, Anti-Frizz Spray Laminator almost every day. It really makes a difference in the appearance of my hair. You only need 2 or 3 sprays and it makes your hair look so shiny and gorgeous; like you just came from the salon! Because you only need to use a couple sprays each time, the bottle lasts for a long time. My bottle isn't even half empty after using it daily for 2 months. You get a quality product for a low price. This is the perfect product to finish off your hair routine. It's not greasy AT ALL (unless you spray it an inch away from your roots) and definitely adds that extra "oomph" to your hair.
I usually really enjoy using Olay products, but this one didn't do the trick. I have a few major problems with it. 1.) It didn't take off my makeup well at all. If I use this face wash I have to use a makeup wipe first and THEN wash my face with this. Normally with other cleansers I can skip the makeup wipe, but if I try to do that with this cleanser, I end up with left over makeup on my face. 2.) Where are the suds?! It doesn't foam up at all, and it has a glue-like consistency. 3.) Not only does it feel like glue, it also smells like it! Overall, I'm not impressed with this and it didn't help to keep my face clear and blemish free at all. My face didn't feel clean after using it. I'll be trying other cleansers from now on.
I love Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Concealer. In my opinion it's one of the best drug store concealers available. It doesn't clump up, it's easy to blend, and SO easy to apply. I do one swipe under each eye and then dot my problem areas (if I have a pimple), blend it gently, and it's completely covered. It is a full coverage concealer without looking too heavy, and it's buildable. It will last me all day without having to reapply, which is another reason I love it. I really like the twist applicator, it makes it very easy to apply and less messy. This is one of my favorite drug store products.
I normally really like NYX products. I own the NYX Loose Eyeshadow in Purple Pearl and Pink Pearl, so I decided to try the Glitter Purple. Unfortunately I wasn't as impressed with this eyeshadow as I was with the others from this brand. This eyeshadow isn't as pigmented as I would like, and the glitter is WAY too thick/chunky. This is literally just purple glitter, you end up looking like a clown and it looks like cheap craft glitter. It's hard to blend and you end up with glitter under your eyes and on the sides because the thick glitter comes off easily. I was really disappointed in this product. If you are looking for a shimmery eye shadow, I'd suggest the NYX Pearl eye shadows because they have much better color payoff and are a LOT less messy.
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear Lacey Lilac 270

I needed to stock up on spring/summer nail polish colors and I have a few other polishes from the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear line that I absolutely love. I decided to get this gorgeous color (Lacey Lilac). I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it out for the first time. After putting on two coats and a clear top coat, my nails looked amazing. This is the perfect pastel purple for spring/summer. It dries quickly and I've had it on for almost a week now and it hasn't chipped at all! (That is a miracle in itself because with 2 kids and me doing dishes, cleaning, playing outside with the kids, etc. it's inevitable that my nail polish will start to chip. This polish hasn't though, and I'm very surprised.) I have a ton of nail polish, and this is definitely my new favorite. I can't wait to buy more colors from this line. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a gorgeous, pigmented, pastel color and is looking for a fast dry nail polish. This is a great product for someone that works a lot or doesn't have much free time. You can just paint your nails, wait a few minutes, and you're good to go. I am 110% satisfied with this polish and would recommend it to anyone that wants a pastel colored, beautiful, long lasting nail polish.
I've had a love/hate relationship with Covergirl TruBlend Minerals Loose Powder for years. If you apply it lightly, it doesn't look caked on and it actually has very good coverage by itself. If you don't have many blemishes or you just have some minor skin discoloration, this powder will cover it by itself and you can skip the foundation. The thing I don't like is that it doesn't last very long. I find that when I use this powder, I'll have to reapply/touch-up every hour or two. I've used other powders that last for 4+ hours and keep my face looking matte and shine-free. One thing I don't like about this powder is that it seems to have an orange tint no matter what shade I buy, so I have to really use it sparingly. I would suggest this powder to someone that wants a full coverage powder that is able to touch-up their makeup every couple hours. If you are going out for the night or are going to be out for an extended period of time without being able to touch-up here and there, I'd suggest going with another powder.
Self Tanners -Fake Bake - flawless self tan liquid
hustlababy09 7/4/2012 10:23:00 AM
I am completely in love with Fake Bake Flawless self-tanner. I go tanning in tanning beds but I'm trying to cut down on that so I've been trying different self-tanners for the last few months. Some of them turn me orange, some are streaky, and some have barely any color payoff. This product however, is amazing. The box comes with everything you need. Included in the box is: instructions, the application mitt, plastic gloves (to put on your hands under the mitt), the self-tanner, and the sprayer. Make sure you exfoliate before using this product, because your tan will be a lot more even and look nicer. You spray the self-tanning solution on the mitt, and blend it by rubbing the mitt in circular motions on the area you want to tan. I use this everywhere, my whole body, hands, feet, and my face as well. The solution has a tint when you put it on, so you can see what areas you have already done. It will darken as time goes on. Don't worry, a lot of it will come off in the shower. I like to use this at night so it has plenty of time to set in before I shower in the morning, but I would recommend letting it soak in for at LEAST 3 to 4 hours before washing it off. It dries almost instantly, and doesn't have that disgusting self-tanner smell that most similar products have. It has great color payoff, but if you want to be darker you can use it a few days in a row until you achieve the color you want. A lot of my friends use this product and they have all different skin tones. It works well on any skin tone and gives you a natural looking, beautiful tan. In my opinion, Fake Bake Flawless gives me better color than a spray tan in a salon. I'm extremely impressed with this product and would recommend it to anyone that wants a nice, even looking tan without using a tanning bed.
